ACC Spas BWF-200 WiFi and Bluetooth Spa Controller

Product Information
The SmarTouch Digital App is a mobile application designed to control the BWF-200 WiFi & Bluetooth Spa controller. This controller operates on the 2.4GHz frequency and allows users to remotely control their spa via WiFi or Bluetooth connection. The app provides features such as temperature control, device settings, and connectivity options.

Important Notes

• The app is called “SmarTouch” with one “T”.
• The app requires proximity to the spa within a 20ft range for initial setup.
• Before installation, the main power to the spa must be turned off at the Circuit Breaker.
• The BWF-200 WiFi/Bluetooth module should be connected in place of the spa keypad or spa-side control panel.
• The WiFi module must have a clear line of sight to the router/house for optimal signal strength.
• The device does not support the 5GHz spectrum and only operates on the 2.4GHz spectrum.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Download and install the SmarTouch Digital App from your app store.
2. Ensure that you are within 20ft of your spa.
3. Turn off the main power to the spa at the Circuit Breaker.
4. Open the SmarTouch spa controller/equipment box at the spa.
5. Disconnect the spa keypad or spa-side control panel from the main PCBoard.
6. Connect the BWF-200 WiFi/Bluetooth module instead.
7. Reconnect the keypad to the grey connector attached to the ribbon cable.
8. Turn the power back on to the spa.
9. Open the SmarTouch app on your mobile device.
10. For Bluetooth connection:
    • Touch the default factory WiFi name (ACC-xxxx or ESP32).
    • The Controller Basic Settings screen will be displayed.
    • Enter a spa name of your choice and a 4-digit PIN (e.g., 0000).
    • Wait for the “Waiting for device ready” message to be displayed.
    • In about one minute, the app will display the spa temperature, indicating a successful Bluetooth connection.
11. For WiFi connection:
    • Touch the “CONFIG” button located at the bottom left of your phone screen.
    • Select “WiFi Configuration” (Refer to the Master Reset procedure if this option is not available).
    • Select your WiFi Network/Router from the list of detected networks.
    • Enter the WiFi Network/Router Password and touch “SET” at the bottom right side of the screen.
    • Wait for the “Waiting for device ready” message to be displayed.
    • To restore Bluetooth connectivity, touch “Devices” at the top right of your phone screen. Both Bluetooth and WiFi options will be displayed.

Master Reset
If you do not get the WiFi Configuration Option after completing the Bluetooth connection and selecting “CONFIG”, perform a Master Reset and restart the installation process using the following steps:

1. Open the WiFi box by removing the four screws at the back of the WiFi Box.
2. Press and hold switch S3 for 10-12 seconds.
3. Next, press switch S1 momentarily.
4. The app will revert back to the Controller Basic Settings screen.

CAUTION: The WiFi enclosure is not weatherproof. For outdoor applications, it must be installed in a NEMA-rated weatherproof enclosure behind the spa paneling.

To connect and install the app you must be next or close to your spa within 20ft Turn off the main power to the spa at the Circuit Breaker. Open the SmarTouch spa controller/equipment box at the spa. Disconnect the spa keypad or spa-side control panel from the main PCBoard and connect the BWF-200 WiFi/BlueTooth module instead. Reconnect the keypad to the grey connector attached to the ribbon cable. Turn the power back on to the spa

Open the SmarTouch app Bluetooth

• Touch the default factory WiFi name. (ACC-xxxx or ESP32) The “ Controller Basic Settings” screen is displayed.
• Enter a spa name of your choice and a 4-digit PIN. You can enter 0000 or any 4-digit number.
• The “Waiting for device ready “ message is displayed. In about one minute the screen on your phone will display the spa temperature.
• You are now connected via Bluetooth, next step is to connect to your WiFi network.

WiFi

1. WiFi set-up: Touch “ CONFIG” bottom left on your phone screen. Select WiFi Configuration. (See the Master Reset procedure if you do not get the WiFi Configuration option)
2. Select your WiFi Network / Router from the list of detected networks.
3. Enter the WiFi Network / Router Password Touch SET, bottom right side. The  “ Waiting for device ready” message is displayed.
4. Bluetooth connection is restored
5. Touch “Devices”, top right.
6. Your phone screen will display both options Bluetooth and WiFi.

IMPORTANT
Since water is a barrier and blocks the WiFi signal, do not install the WiFi module behind or to the side of the spa. Must have a clear line of sight between the WiFi module and the Router / House. It is very important to ensure you have a strong WiFi signal available from your wireless router. This device does NOT support the 5Ghz spectrum due to range limitations that exist within that spectrum. The 2.4 GHz spectrum is more reliable over longer distances.

MASTER RESET

If you do NOT get the “WiFi Configuration Option” once you have accomplished the Bluetooth connection and after you have selected CONFIG, you’ll need to do a Master Reset and restart the installation process. Open the WiFi box by removing the four screws at the back of the WiFi Box.

• Press and hold switch S3 for 10-12 seconds
• Next press S1 momentarily
• The app reverts back to the “ Controller Basic Settings” screen.

CAUTION
The WiFi enclosure is not weatherproof. Must be installed behind the spa paneling. For outdoor applications install in a NEMA-rated weatherproof enclosure.
