SOLAR ESA30 Memory Saver
Product Information
The ESA30 Memory Saver is a device designed to be used in conjunction with a 12V portable power supply. It is specifically designed as a vehicle preset memory saver, allowing users to replace the vehicle’s battery without losing any electronic presets.
However, it is important to note that this product contains chemicals, including lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. It is recommended to wash hands after handling the product.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that your 12V power supply has an available accessory port and that its internal battery voltage is above 12.4V, which is necessary to power the vehicle while the battery is being replaced.
- Make sure the vehicle is turned OFF and all accessories are also turned OFF.
- Connect the Memory Saver’s DC plug to the portable power supply accessory port. Check if the red LED on the cable is illuminated, indicating that the Memory Saver is receiving power from the portable power supply.
- Plug the Memory Saver’s OBDII plug into the vehicle’s OBDII port.
- Once all connections are made, you can safely disconnect the vehicle’s battery without any loss of electronic presets.

Important Safety Instructions
Read these instructions completely before using the Memory Saver and save them
for future reference. Before using the memory saver on a car, truck, boat or
other piece of equipment, read these instructions and those provided by car,
truck, boat or equipment manufacturer. Following all manufacturer’s
instructions and safety procedures will reduce the risk of accident.
This product is designed to be used only when a vehicle is turned OFF.
Do not use this product in conjunction with a 12V portable power supply when
the vehicle is turned on.
CAUTION:
When the vehicle’s battery is removed and the Memory Saver is used to connect
the vehicle’s OBDII port to a power source, the vehicle’s battery connection
cables/hardware are live. Care must be taken to secure the positive battery
cable/hardware to prevent arcing, damage or injury!
To prevent overloading of a vehicle fuse or other vehicle damage, do not use
the Memory Saver if the vehicle’s current draw is 4 amps or more when the
vehicle is in a KEY OFF condition.
Vehicle systems often cycle after the vehicle is turned off. Such cycling
places demands on the vehicle’s electrical system. Before operating the Memory
Saver, turn the vehicle’s key to the OFF position and wait for 25 minutes.
Doing so will ensure that all vehicle cycling is completed.
Operating Instructions
This product is designed for use in conjunction with a 12V portable power supply. The Memory Saver is designed as a vehicle preset memory saver only. Do not turn the vehicle on when the Memory Saver product is being used to connect a 12V portable power supply to the vehicle.

Verify your 12V power supply has an available accessory port and that its internal battery voltage is high enough (> 12.4V) to power the vehicle while the battery is being replaced.

With the vehicle turned OFF and all accessories OFF, connect the Memory Saver’s DC plug to the portable power supply accessory port. Verify that the red LED on the cable is illuminated.
This verifies that the Memory Saver is receiving power from the portable power supply. -
Plug the Memory Saver’s OBDII plug into the vehicle’s OBDII port.

You may now disconnect the vehicle’s battery without having any loss of electronic presets.
Warranty
The ESA30 Memory Saver is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for 90 days from the original date of purchase – original purchase
receipt required to obtain warranty.
This warranty is not extended to products that, in Clore Automotive’s sole
judgment, have been misused, abused, modified or used for unintended purposes
from their original state.
To obtain service under this warranty, return your ESA30 Memory Saver to the
place of purchase, along with your dated sales receipt, for an exchange.
