Product Information

The Rollz umbrella is designed to fit all Rollz rollators. It provides optimal protection against rain and sun, blocking harmful UV radiation almost completely. The umbrella features an Air-Vent-System that ensures stability in windy weather. Its space-saving placement on the right side allows users to use their rollator with both hands without any restrictions.

Product Usage Instructions

Assembly on the Rollz Motion (Performance, Rhythm, Electric):

  1. Ensure that the mounting clamp points backward.
  2. Attach the rollator part of the mounting clamp to the frame of your Rollz Motion.
  3. Fasten the umbrella to the umbrella part of the mounting clamp.

Assembly on the Rollz Flex:

  1. Swap the parts of the mounting clamp as follows:
    • Replace the Rollz Flex mounting clamp with the Rollz Motion mounting clamp.
    • Replace the Umbrella mounting clamp with the Rollz Flex mounting clamp.
  2. Ensure that the mounting clamp points forwards.
  3. Attach the rollator part of the mounting clamp to the frame of your Rollz Flex.
  4. Fasten the umbrella to the umbrella part of the mounting clamp.

Note : Please refer to the detailed instructions provided in the user manual for your specific Rollz model.

Introduction

Thank you and congratulations with the purchase of the Rollz umbrella.

Before installing the rollator umbrella, read the assembly and handling manual and note all the safety instructions. When  the assembling of the umbrella has been completed you can start enjoying the best quality and easy handling of this product.

The umbrella gives optimal protection against rain and sun, as they block the harmful UV radiation almost completely. The Air-Vent-System ensures stability in windy weather.

Because of the space-saving placement on the right side (usually) you can use your rollator with both hands without being restricted.

Please note that the Rollz umbrella fits  all Rollz rollators. Choose the chapter that corresponds to your Rollz model for detailed instructions.

Content of the package

In the package you will find:

  • a rollator umbrella with two adjustable joints and a cover (figure 1);
  • the pre-assembled mounting clamp for the Rollz Motion (Performance, Rhythm, Electric) (figure 2);
  • the parts to rebuild the mounting clamp for the Rollz Flex (figure 6);
  • an Allen key for easy installation of the Rollz

Assembly on the Rollz Motion (Performance, Rhythm, Electric)

Note : If you own a Rollz Flex, please skip to the next chapter.

The mounting clamp is pre-assembled for mounting on the Rollz Motion. You can assemble the umbrella on both the left and right side, but always make sure the mounting clamp points backwards (figure 4).

The clamp consists of two parts (figure 2). First attach the rollator part on the frame of your Rollz Motion. Then fasten the umbrella to the umbrella part. Find out how to  assemble it  on the next pagesrollz-Umbrella-For-All-

Assembling goes as follows:

  • Make sure to not lose the small pre-mounted spacer ring X placed in-between the clamps of the mounting clamp. It should always remain on the long Allen screw with flat head (figure 3).
  • Untighten the screws from the rollator part (figure 2) and fix the mounting clamp as high as possible on the frame, with help of the Allen key (figure 4). Make sure the umbrella part is pointing backwards and the plastic wing nut is  pointing outwards (figure 4).
  • Tighten the screws
  • You can now place the umbrella pole in the umbrella clamp from above and tighten the plastic wing nut (figure 4).
  • The adjusting ring Y (figure 5) can be placed on the umbrella pole the for setting the umbrella to the desired height. Make sure you place the adjusting ring Y above the umbrella part (figure 2) to keep the umbrella from moving down. You can choose from a maximum of five different
  • The distance between the tip of the umbrella and the ground should be at least 3-5 cm when the umbrella is folded
  • Tighten the screws again after two days

Assembly on the Rollz Flex

Note : If you own a Rollz Motion, please return to the previous chapter.

The mounting clamp is default pre-assembled for the Rollz Motion. Therefore the parts have to be swapped for the Rollz Flex. The changing of the clamp goes as follows (figure 6):

  • Unscrew the screws of the rollator part until both come loose (figure 2). Remove both screws and the two black parts labelled with indication number 25.

  • Take the other two screws and two black parts from the Rollz Flex mounting clamp (indication number 22) and screw them in place with the gaps facing each other (figure 7).rollz-Umbrella-For-All-Rollators-FIG- \(8\)

The mounting clamp is now assembled for mounting on  the Rollz Flex. You can assemble the umbrella on both the left and right side, but always make sure the mounting clamp points forwards (figure 9).

Handling manual of the rollator umbrella

Thanks to the long adjustable tube, the umbrella can be  used by  people with heights up  to  200 cm. When the umbrella is   not used, it can remain attached to the frame. The lock button will allow to fold the umbrella, with the tip pointing downwards (figure 11).

Do not set the handlebar of the Rollz Flex too low when umbrella is fitted on the frame. There should be 3-5 cm between the ground and the tip of the umbrella.

INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend that you practice opening and closing the umbrella before using it for the first time.

  • When tightening the ergonomically shaped plastic wing nut you can easily stop the umbrella from twisting and

Attention! The umbrella opens very fast and has a wide umbrella canopy – please keep the safety instructions in mind.

  • If you used the umbrella in rain make sure to let it dry before stowing it away. Follow the above instructions in reverse order to close the umbrella when completely

Attention! Be careful to not catch your fingers between the hinges

Warnings, tips, and safety instructions

WARNINGS

  • The wind can get hold of any If it is windy outside then you may not want to open the umbrella. Also, if you have the feeling that the unfolded umbrella has a negative effect on driving with the walker,  then you should fold it. Only this way accidents and injuries can be prevented.
  • The umbrella opens very quickly when pushing the open Please keep the umbrella away from your body. Also, pay attention to other people nearby to avoid accidents.

TIPS

  • Please note that when the umbrella is open, you will need more space on the left and right sides of the rollator to not get stuck into
  • Also, pay attention to the overall height of your umbrella so that you do not collide with extended awnings, for example.
  • Before entering a building, make sure the umbrella is closed and folded
  • Be aware that the fabric of the umbrella can be damaged by hedges, fences, cigarettes and

Warranty

This product can only be  returned when the proof of  purchase  is attached. Contact your dealer for the return procedure. The warranty period is 2 years. Mechanical damage and burn holes are not covered.
