Product Usage Instructions

Starting and Registration:

1. Press the key until the FRITZ!Fon starts.
   Press the registration button on your FRITZ!Box or DECT base station to connect the FRITZ!Fon.

2. Mounting and Loading:

   • Connect the power adapter to the charging station and plug it into an electric outlet.
   • Place the FRITZ!Fon in the charging station.
   • The battery will be charged.

3. Overview of Devices:

   • Loudspeaker: Used for audio output.
   • Favorites key: Allows quick access to favorite functions.
   • Loudspeaker (back): Additional loudspeaker for better sound distribution.
   • Menu (functions): Access various functions and settings.

4. Navigation
   Use the navigation buttons to navigate through menus and options.

5. Telephoning:

   • To make a call, enter the phone number using the keypad and press the call button.
   • To answer an incoming call, press the accept button.

6. Battery Replacement:

   • Remove the battery by following the instructions.
   • Insert the new battery with the correct polarity.

Starting and Registration

1. Press the key until the FRITZ!Fon starts.
2.  Press the registration button on your FRITZ!Box or your DECT base station.
   The FRITZ!Fon is connected with the FRITZ!Box/ DECT base station and can be used immediately.

2.  Connect the charging station to an outlet that is easily accessible and place the FRITZ!Fon in the station.
   The battery will be charged.

FRITZ!Fon on a DECT Base Station

• For operation, the FRITZ!Fon must be registered with a DECT base station that is connected with the internet or the landline telephone network.
• The FRITZ!Fon can be registered on up to 4 DECT base stations, but actively connected with only one DECT base station at a time.

Registering with Further DECT Base Stations

1. Press the key.
2. Navigate to Settings / Registration /Register.
3. Follow the instructions on the display.
   If your DECT base station is not a FRITZ!Box, be sure to have the PIN of your DECT base station on hand for entry on the FRITZ!Fon.

Switching Active DECT Base Stations

1. Press the key.
2. Navigate to Settings / Registration / Select base.
3. Select a DECT base station and press .

Deregistering from a DECT Base Station

1. Press the key.
2. Navigate to Settings / Registration / Deregister.
3. Select a DECT base station and press

Navigating

You can access the functions of your FRITZ!Fon via a main menu and several submenus.

• Navigate up and down through the menus using the keys.
• Select and confirm functions with or the right key.
• Use the left key to cancel a selection or return to the next higher menu.
• With the key you return to the start screen or end a call.

• Enter a telephone number.
• Press the key to establish the connection.
• Press the key to end the call.

Changing the Battery

Replace the battery only with an original or identical battery and make sure that replacement batteries are inserted with the poles in the correct position. The battery specification is included in the FRITZ!Fon PDF manual at en.avm.de/service.

1. Open the battery compartment at a corner of the handset.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Insert the new battery with the conductors of the battery on the conductors in the housing.
4. Close the battery compartment.

Brief Instructions

  Press and hold the key to switch FRITZ!Fon on and off.

• Operating Devices in the Home Network
  With the FRITZ!Fon you can control your AVM Smart Home products.

• 1. Press the key.

2. Navigate to Home Network / Smart Home.

• Switching Wi-Fi On and Off
  With the FRITZ!Fon you can switch your FRITZ!Box’s Wi-Fi on and off.

• 1. Press the key.

2. Navigate to Home Network / Wi-Fi.
3. Press and select On/Off.

• Radio Frequencies
  1880 MHz – 1900 MHz, max. 250 mW

• Receiving Messages
  Whenever you wish, the message key informs you about missed calls, messages on the answering machine, new email, podcasts, or updates.
