Product Usage Instructions
Starting and Registration:

Press the key until the FRITZ!Fon starts.
Press the registration button on your FRITZ!Box or DECT base station to connect the FRITZ!Fon. -
Mounting and Loading:
- Connect the power adapter to the charging station and plug it into an electric outlet.
- Place the FRITZ!Fon in the charging station.
- The battery will be charged.

- Loudspeaker: Used for audio output.
- Favorites key: Allows quick access to favorite functions.
- Loudspeaker (back): Additional loudspeaker for better sound distribution.

Navigation
Use the navigation buttons to navigate through menus and options. -
Telephoning:
- To make a call, enter the phone number using the keypad and press the call button.
- To answer an incoming call, press the accept button.

Battery Replacement:
- Remove the battery by following the instructions.
- Insert the new battery with the correct polarity.

- Insert the power adapter of the charging station into an electric outlet that is easy to reach.
- Never let liquids get inside the FRITZ!Fon. Otherwise, electric shocks or short circuits may result.
- Protect the FRITZ!Fon from direct sunlight.
- This quick guide explains how to start oper-ation of your FRITZ!Fon and how to perform the basic functions. A comprehensive PDF manual is available at: en.avm.de/en/service/manuals
- The FRITZ!Fon must be registered with a DECT base station that is connected with the internet or the landline telephone network.
- FRITZ!Fon X6’s complete range of functions is available only when it is used in combina-tion with a FRITZ!Box.
Starting and Registration
- Press the key until the FRITZ!Fon starts.
- Press the registration button on your FRITZ!Box or your DECT base station.
The FRITZ!Fon is connected with the FRITZ!Box/ DECT base station and can be used immediately.
Mounting and Loading
- Connect the power adapter to the charging station and to an electric outlet.
- Connect the charging station to an outlet that is easily accessible and place the FRITZ!Fon in the station.
The battery will be charged.

FRITZ!Fon on a DECT Base Station
- For operation, the FRITZ!Fon must be registered with a DECT base station that is connected with the internet or the landline telephone network.
- The FRITZ!Fon can be registered on up to 4 DECT base stations, but actively connected with only one DECT base station at a time.
Registering with Further DECT Base Stations
- Press the key.
- Navigate to Settings / Registration /Register.
- Follow the instructions on the display.
If your DECT base station is not a FRITZ!Box, be sure to have the PIN of your DECT base station on hand for entry on the FRITZ!Fon.
Switching Active DECT Base Stations
- Press the key.
- Navigate to Settings / Registration / Select base.
- Select a DECT base station and press .
Deregistering from a DECT Base Station
- Press the key.
- Navigate to Settings / Registration / Deregister.
- Select a DECT base station and press
Navigating
You can access the functions of your FRITZ!Fon via a main menu and several submenus.
- Navigate up and down through the menus using the keys.
- Select and confirm functions with or the right key.
- Use the left key to cancel a selection or return to the next higher menu.
- With the key you return to the start screen or end a call.
Making Telephone Calls
Making a Call
- Enter a telephone number.
- Press the key to establish the connection.
- Press the key to end the call.
Accepting a Call
You can take a call by pressing these keys:
Changing the Battery
Replace the battery only with an original or identical battery and make sure that replacement batteries are inserted with the poles in the correct position. The battery specification is included in the FRITZ!Fon PDF manual at en.avm.de/service.
- Open the battery compartment at a corner of the handset.
- Remove the battery.
- Insert the new battery with the conductors of the battery on the conductors in the housing.
- Close the battery compartment.
