This operating manual should help you familiarise yourself with your power tool and teach you how to use it for its intended purpose. The operating manual include important instructions for the safe, proper and economic operation of the power tool, for avoiding danger, for minimising repair costs and downtimes and for increasing the reliability and extending the service life of the power tool. In addition to the safety instructions in this operating manual, you must also observe the regulations applicable to the operation of the power tool in your country. Keep the operating manual package with the power tool at all times and store it in a plastic cover to protect it from dirt and moisture. Proper use

The machine complies with the applicable EC machinery directive. Before starting any work, all protective and safety devices must be in place.

• The operator is responsible for third parties in the area of operations.
• The machine has been designed to be operated by one person.
• Observe all safety information and danger notices on the machine.
• Ensure that all of the safety information and danger notices on the machine are complete and in legible condition.
• Only use the machine when in a technically faultless condition, appropriately and in compliance with the operating manual and with full knowledge of safety and hazards!
• In particular, rectify malfunctions that could impair safety immediately (or commission rectification works accordingly)!
• The manufacturer’s safety, operating and maintenance specifications as well as the dimensions given in the technical data must be observed.
• Relevant accident prevention regulations and other generally recognized safety and technical rules must also be observed.
• The machine may only be used, maintained or repaired by trained persons who are familiar with it and have been informed of the dangers. Any liability of the manufacturer for damages resulting from arbitrary changes to the machine is excluded.
• The machine is intended for use only with original accessories and original tools from the manufacturer.
• Any use beyond this is improper use. The manufacturer is not responsible for the resultant damages, the user bears this risk alone.
• The machine must not be used for commercial, technical or industrial applications.
• If you are not sure whether working conditions are safe or unsafe, do not work with the machine.
• The lawnmower is suitable for private use around home gardens or allotments. Private use of the lawn mower refers an annual operating time generally not exceeding that of 50 hours, during which time the machine is primarily used to maintain small-scale, residential lawns and home/hobby gardens. Public facilities, sporting halls, and agricultural/forestry applications are excluded.
• Attention! Due to the high risk of bodily injury to the user, the lawn mower may not be used to trim bushes, hedges or shrubs, to cut scaling vegetation, planted roofs, or balcony-grown grass, to clean (suck up) dirt and debris off walkways, or to chop up tree or hedge clippings. Moreover, the lawn mower may not be used as a power cultivator to level out high areas such as molehills.
• For safety reasons, the lawn mower may not be used as a drive unit for other work tools or toolkits of any kind.

This gardening tool is not designed to be operated by persons (including children) with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or who have insufficient experience and/or insufficient knowledge, unless they are being supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or they are receiving instructions about how this device is to be used. Never allow children or other persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions to use the gardening tool. Children should not be left unattended, to ensure they do not play with the device.

Safety instructions for the charging unit

WARNING! Read all safety information and instructions. Failure to observe safety information and instructions can result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injuries. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” used in the safety instructions refers to mains-powered electrical tools (with a mains cable) and battery-powered electrical tools (without a mains cable).

Workplace safety

• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions may cause you to lose control of the device.

Electrical safety

• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use the cable for another purpose, for example, carrying or hanging the power tool or pulling the plug out of the socket. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving device parts. Damaged or coiled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
• If you work with a power tool outdoors, only use extension cables that are also suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety

• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of carelessness when using electrical tools can result in serious injuries.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Keeping your finger on the switch or having the device switched on when you connect it to the power supply may result in accidents.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A tool or spanner that is located in a rotating device part may result in injuries.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If collection devices can be mounted, make sure that they are connected and used properly.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

Power tool use and care

• Do not overload the device. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Remove the plug from the socket and/or remove the battery before setting the device, changing accessories or putting the device away. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and Do not let people use the device who are not familiar with it or who have not read these instructions. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check whether moving parts function properly and do not get stuck and whether parts are broken or are damaged and thus adversely affect the electric tool function. Have damaged parts repaired before using the device. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
• Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.

Using and handling the rechargeable tool

• Only charge the rechargeable batteries with charging units recommended by the manufacturer.
• A charging unit that is suitable for a particular type of rechargeable battery poses a fire hazard when used with other rechargeable batteries.
• Only use the rechargeable batteries in power tools that are designed for them. The use of other rechargeable batteries can lead to injuries and a risk of fire.
• Keep the unused rechargeable battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could cause a short-circuit between the contacts. A short-circuit between the contacts of the rechargeable battery could result in burns or fires.
• Liquid may leak from the rechargeable battery if used incorrectly. Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If the liquid gets into your eyes, seek additional medical attention. Leaking battery fluid may cause skin irritation or burns.
• Observe the operating manual and the safety instructions enclosed with the rechargeable battery or charging unit.

Service

• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Safety instructions for lawnmowers

General safety information

• For your safety and the safety of others, read this operating manual and its safety instructions before using the device.
• Please keep the operating manual and their safety instructions in a safe place for later use and keep them handy for each use.
• Pass on the operating manual with the device if there is a change of ownership.
• Persons operating the device must not be under the influence of intoxicants (e.g. alcohol, drugs or medication).
• Only operate the device in the technical condition specified and as supplied by the manufacturer. Any liability of the manufacturer for damages resulting from unauthorised changes to the device is excluded.
• Only use the device in daylight or with good artificial lighting.
• Use the device only in dry weather conditions. Keep away from rain and moisture. Water penetrating the device increases the risk of an electric shock.
• Under the following conditions, switch the device off and remove the safety key:
  • if the device is left unattended;
  • before checking, cleaning or other work on the device;
  • Before rectifying jams;
  • if it came into contact with a foreign object. Inspect the lawnmower for damage and consult a specialist workshop in the event of damage;
  • if the device starts to vibrate excessively.
• Before use, always visually check whether the cutting tools, fastening bolts and the entire cutting unit are worn out or damaged. To avoid any imbalance, worn or damaged cutting blades and fastening bolts may only be replaced in sets. Worn or damaged warning labels must be replaced.

Safety instructions for Li-Ion rechargeable batteries

• Do not open the rechargeable battery. There is a danger of a short circuit.
• Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, e.g. also from continuous sunlight, fire, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion.
• Vapours may escape if the rechargeable battery is damaged or used improperly. Supply fresh air and consult a doctor in the event of discomfort. The vapours can irritate the respiratory tract.
• Liquid may leak from the rechargeable battery if used incorrectly. Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If the liquid gets into your eyes, seek additional medical attention. Leaking battery fluid may cause skin irritation or burns.
• Only use original rechargeable batteries with the voltage specified on the type plate of your power tool.
• If other batteries are used, e.g. counterfeit batteries, refurbished rechargeable batteries or rechargeable batteries from other manufacturers, there is a risk of injury and damage to property due to exploding batteries.
• The rechargeable battery voltage must match the charging voltage of the charging unit. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire and explosion.
• Only charge the rechargeable batteries with charging units recommended by the manufacturer.
• A charging unit that is suitable for a particular type of rechargeable battery poses a fire hazard when used with other rechargeable batteries.
• The rechargeable battery can be damaged by sharp objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by external forces. An internal short circuit may occur and the rechargeable battery could burn, smoke, explode or overheat.

Warning! This power tool generates an electromagnetic field during operation. This field can impair active or passive medical implants under certain conditions. In order to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries, we recommend that persons with medical implants consult with their physician and the manufacturer of the medical implant prior to operating the power tool.

Risk of fire! Risk of explosion!
Never use a damaged, defective or deformed rechargeable batteries. Never open or damage the rechargeable battery and do not drop it. Never charge rechargeable batteries in environments with acids and highly flammable materials. Protect rechargeable batteries from heat and fire.

Only use the rechargeable battery in ambient temperatures between 10°C and +40°C. Never place on radiators or expose to strong sunlight for extended periods of time. Let the device cool down first after heavy use. Short circuit – Do not bridge rechargeable battery contacts with metallic parts. When disposing, transporting or storing, the rechargeable battery must be packed (plastic bag, box) or the contacts must be masked.

Danger!
Pull out the rechargeable battery pack before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work.

Before use

• Before starting work, familiarise yourself with the lawnmower and its functions and controls.
• Check the device for signs of wear or damage before commissioning. Never use a lawnmower with damaged or missing protective devices, e.g. discharge flap and/or grass collection basket, housing, etc.
• Have these repaired or, if necessary, replaced by a qualified specialist or specialist workshop.
• Do not use a device whose switch is defective and can no longer be switched on or off.
• Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers when working with or on the device. Do not use the lawnmower if barefoot or wearing sandals.
• Check the terrain where the device will be used and remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones and other foreign objects that may be caught up by the device, to ensure that people are not endangered.

When using

• Do not operate the device when people (especially children) or animals are in the immediate vicinity.
• Stop working with the device if you notice that people (especially children) or pets are nearby.
• Working on steep slopes can be dangerous.
• Make sure you stand securely and mow slowly.
• Always mow across the slope and not up and down.
• Exercise special caution when changing direction.
• There is a risk of tripping!
• Never mow on steep slopes.
• Take particular care when mowing backwards or pulling the lawnmower towards you.
• Do not tip the lawnmower when you switch on the motor.
• Keep to the safety distance set by the push bars.
• Only switch on the motor when your feet are at a safe distance from the cutter bar.
• Be careful and do not reach into the rotating cutter bar.
• Switch off the lawnmower when tipping or transporting it, e.g. to/from the lawn or across paths.
• Never drive over gravel with the motor running. There is a danger of people or property being hit by flying stones!
• Before lifting or carrying away the lawnmower, switch off the motor and wait until the cutter bar has come to a standstill.
• Only adjust the cutting height when the engine is switched off and the cutter bar is stationary.
• Never open the discharge flap when the motor is still running.
• Before removing the grass collection basket, switch off the motor and wait for the cutter bar to stop. After emptying the grass collection basket, fasten it carefully and make sure that the grass collection basket is securely fastened to the lawnmower.
• Avoid mowing wet grass if possible.
• Do not work with the gardening tool in an explosive environment where flammable liquids, gases or dusts may be located. The gardening tool can create sparks which may ignite the dust or vapours.
• During interruptions to work, never leave the device unattended and store it in a safe location.
• Operating the machine with excessive speed can increase the risk of accidents.
• Be careful when adjusting the machine and avoid trapping fingers between the moving cutting tool and rigid parts of the machine
• Be particularly careful when mowing on yielding ground, nearby rubbish tips, ditches and dykes.
• Check the device regularly and make sure that all start locks and push buttons are working properly before each use.
• Please note that improper maintenance, the use of non-compliant spare parts, or the removal or modification of safety devices can result in damage to the device and serious injury to the person working with it.
• Please note that the lawnmower’s safety systems or equipment must not be tampered with or deactivated.
• Please note that the user must not change or manipulate any sealed engine speed control settings.
• Use only cutting tools and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Use of other tools and accessories may result in injury to the user.
• Always keep the lawnmower in good operating condition.

After use

• Switch off the device, remove the security key and then put the device in a safe place.
• Do not store the device within reach of children.
• Ensure that the ventilation slots on the device are always free from contamination.
• Check the tightness of all screws, nuts and bolts to ensure that the lawnmower is in a safe condition.
• Check the grass collection basket regularly for wear.
• Use only cutter bars intended for this lawnmower.
• Spare parts must comply with the requirements specified by the manufacturer. Therefore only use original spare parts or spare parts approved by the manufacturer. When replacing parts, please observe the installation instructions provided and remove the battery beforehand.
• Have repairs carried out only by a qualified specialist or a specialist workshop.

Residual risks

The machine has been built according to the state-ofthe- art and the recognised technical safety requirements. However, individual residual risks can arise during operation.

• Danger of injury due to rotating parts.
• Danger of injury due to ejected parts.
• Wear proper protective clothing such as hearing protection and close-fitting work clothing.
• Hazard due to electrical power with the use of improper electrical connection cables.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been met, some non-obvious residual risks may still remain.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the “Safety instructions” and “Intended use” are observed along with the complete operating instructions.
• Neglect of ergonomic principles Neglect of the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Careless use or omission of personal protective equipment may result in serious injury.
• Wear prescribed protective equipment.

Human behaviour, misconduct

• Always concentrate fully on all work.
• Residual risk – can never be ruled out.

Hazard due to noise / hearing damage

• Prelonged unprotected work with the device may cause hearing damage.
• Always wear hearing protection as a matter of principle.

Behaviour in an emergency
In case of an accident, initiate the necessary first aid measures and seek medical assistance as quickly as possible.

Technical data

Noise and vibration
The noise and vibration values have been developed with a standardised measurement process.

Wear hearing protection.
Excessive noise can result in a loss of hearing.
Keep the noise level and vibration to a minimum!

• Only use devices which are free of defects.
• Maintain and clean the device at regular intervals.
• Adapt your working methods to the device.
• Do not overload the device.
• Have the device checked if necessary.
• Switch the device off if it is not in use.
• Wear gloves.

Unpacking

• Open the packaging and carefully remove the device.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must be informed immediately. Later claims will not be recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the operating instructions before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and replacement parts use only original parts. Replacement parts can be obtained from your dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as well as type and year of manufacture for your equipment.

WARNING!
The device and the packaging material are not children’s toys! Do not let children play with plastic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of choking or suffocating!

Assembly

1. Remove the lawnmower and its attachments from packaging and check that all parts are present.
2. Screw the lower push bar (5) with one wing screw (6) on each side (Fig. 2-3).
3. Screw the upper push bar (4) to both sides of the lower push bar (5) with one round head screw (a), one washer (b) and one wing nut (3) each. Ensure that the pull cord, which will be fastened later, and the Bowden cable are not in the way (Fig. 4-5).
4. Secure the Bowden cable to the push bar with the cable clip (c) (Fig. 7) supplied.
5. Fold up the grass collection basket (12) and snap the plastic clips onto the frame. (Fig. 8)
6. Place the handle for the grass collection basket (d) into the openings of the grass collection basket (12). Then screw it from the inside with the ø4×15 screw (e).
7. Lift the discharge flap (11) with one hand and hook in the grass collection basket (12) as shown in Fig. 9.

1. Fold the discharge flap (11) upwards.
2. Hang the grass collection basket (12) onto the lawnmower

Installing the rechargeable batteries (Fig.14)

1. Open the battery cover (7) and insert the rechargeable batteries into the battery slots.
2. Close the battery cover by folding it shut.

Note!
Only use rechargeable batteries with the same degree of charge, never combine fully-charged and halfcharged batteries. Always charge both batteries at the same time.
The battery with a weaker state of charge determines the runtime of the device. Both batteries must always be fully charged before operation.

Operation

Safety key (Fig. 12/13)

The device can only be started if the security key (f) is inserted in the device. After finishing the work, this must be removed from the device again.

Switching on the device (Fig. 6)

1. Press and hold down the switch lock (1).
2. Press the switch lever (2). The motor is running.

Switching off the device

1. Release the operating bar (2)

Risk of injury!

The cutter bar will run on for a short time after the operating bar (2) is released.

Adjusting the cutting height (Fig. 10)

Attention! The cutting height may only be adjusted with the motor stopped and the safety key (f) removed. Before you start mowing, check that the cutting tool is not blunt and the fasteners are not damaged. Replace blunt and/or damaged cutting tools to avoid creating imbalance. During this check, switch off the motor and remove the safety key (f).

1. Push the cutting height adjustment lever (7) outwards.
2. Select the desired cutting height by moving the lever (7) to the left or right and engage the lever (7) in one of the detents.
3. Make sure that the lever (7) engages correctly!

Remove and empty the grass collection basket
If cuttings remain on the ground, the grass collection basket is full and should be emptied immediately.

1. Switch off the engine.
2. Wait until the cutter bar stops.
3. Lift the discharge flap (11).
4. Remove the grass collection basket (12).
5. Lower the discharge flap again.
6. Empty the grass collection basket (12).
7. Remove any blockages in the mowing chamber before hooking the grass collection basket into place.

Working without grass collection basket
When you remove the grass collection basket (12), the discharge flap folds down. When working without a grass collection basket, the cuttings are ejected directly to the rear.

Lawn care tips
Some tips to help your lawn grow healthy and evenly:

• Lawns consist of different types of grass. If you mow frequently, more grasses will grow, which take root strongly and form a firm sward. If you mow infrequently, tall grasses and other wild weeds (e.g. clover, daisies) will develop more.
• The normal height of a lawn is about 4–5 cm. When mowing, only the top third of the total height should be removed; so at 7–8 cm cut to normal height.
• If possible, do not cut the lawn shorter than 4 cm, otherwise the turf could be damaged in dry conditions.
• Mow tall grass (e.g. after a holiday) in stages to normal height.
• When mowing, always allow the cutting paths to overlap slightly.

Before mowing

Important notes

• Dress appropriately. Wear sturdy shoes and no sandals or trainers.
• Check the cutting blade. If a blade is bent or otherwise damaged, it must be replaced with an original blade.
• Read and follow the operating instructions and also the instructions regarding the engine and the accessories. Keep the manual accessible for other users of the device.
• Make sure that all safety devices are in place and working properly.
• The device should only be operated by a person who is capable of doing so.
• Mowing wet grass can be dangerous. Mow grass when it is as dry as possible.
• Instruct other persons or children to stay away from the mower.
• Never mow when visibility is poor.
• Pick up loose objects lying around, such as stones, toys, sticks and wires, etc., from the ground before mowing.

Hints for mowing correctly

Attention! Never open the discharge flap when the catcher is being emptied and the engine is still running. The rotating blade can lead to injuries. Always secure the discharge flap and the catch basket carefully. Switch off the engine before removing.

The safety distance between the blade housing and the user given by the guide rails must always be maintained. Special care must be taken when mowing and changing direction on embankments and slopes. Make sure you have a secure footing, wear shoes with nonslip, well gripping soles and long trousers. Always mow across slopes. For safety reasons, slopes with an inclination of more than 15 degrees must not be mowed with the lawn mower. Exercise particular caution when moving backwards and pulling the lawnmower. Risk of tripping!

Mowing
Mowing can be done either with or without the grass collection basket fitted (12).

Cut only with sharp, clean cutting blades so that the blades of grass do not fray and the lawn does not turn yellow. To achieve a clean cut, guide the lawn mower in the straightest possible paths. These strips should always overlap by a few centimetres so that no patches remain. Keep the underside of the mower housing clean and remove any grass deposits. Deposits make the starting process more difficult, impair cutting quality and grass discharge. On slopes, the cutting path should be made perpendicular to the slope. It is possible to prevent the lawnmower from slipping by lifting it upwards at an angle. Set the cutting height depending on the actual length of the lawn. Carry out several passes so that a maximum of 4 cm of lawn is removed at a time. Switch off the engine before carrying out any checks on the blade. Remember that the blade will continue to rotate for a few seconds after the engine is switched off. Never try to stop the blade. Regularly check that the blade is properly fastened, in good condition and sharpened. Sharpen or replace it if this is not the case. If the moving blade strikes an object, stop the mower and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop. Then check the condition of the blade and the blade holder. If it is damaged, it must be replaced.

Emptying the catch basket
The catch basket (12) has a level indicator (Fig. 8). This is opened by the air flow generated by the mower during operation. If the flap (Fig. 8) closes during mowing, the catch basket (12) is full and should be emptied. The holes under the flap must always be clean and passable for the level indicator to function properly. As soon as grass residues are left lying behind on the ground during mowing, the catch basket must be emptied.

WARNING
Before removing the catch basket, stop the engine and wait for the cutting tool to come to a standstill.

To remove the catch basket (12), lift the discharge flap (11) with one hand and remove the catch basket (12) by the carrying handle (d) the other hand (Fig. 9). In accordance with the safety regulations, the discharge flap (11) closes when the catch basket is unhooked and closes the rear ejection opening. If grass remains in the opening, it is advisable to pull the lawnmower back about 1m to make it easier to start the engine. Do not remove cuttings in the mower housing and on the working tool by hand or with your feet, but with suitable aids, e.g. brush or hand brush. To ensure good collection, the catch basket (12) and in particular the air grille must be cleaned from the inside after use. Only hook in the catch basket (12) when the engine is switched off and the cutting tool is stationary. Lift the discharge flap (11) with one hand and hold the catch basket (12) by the handle with the other hand and hook it in from above. (Fig. 9)

After mowing

• Check all screws and nuts before the next use.
• Tighten all loose screws.
• Empty the catch basket (12) before the next use.
• Make sure that the mower is not parked next to a source of danger. Escaping gas can cause explosions.
• Only original parts or parts approved by the manufacturer may be used for repairs (see address on guarantee certificate).
• Service the device.

Maintenance and care

WARNING!
Always remove the battery from the device before any maintenance or cleaning work on the power tool. Sharp cutting tool! Wear protective gloves.

Lawnmower
WARNING!
Check the device at regular intervals and before starting work. Damaged parts must be repaired or replaced by an approved service centre before working with the device. Only use original accessories and spare parts. If possible, always clean the device directly after mowing.

• Remove the rechargeable battery.
• Remove the grass collection basket.
• Clean the lawnmower with a hand brush after each mowing.
• Carefully remove grass residues from the cutting chamber. Loosen stubborn grass residues with a wooden stick.
• Keep the ventilation slots clean and free of dust.
• Never clean or splash the device with water. Only clean the motor housing with a damp cloth and never use cleaning agents or solvents! This could damage the plastic parts of the device. Finally, dry the motor housing carefully.
• Check the condition of the blade.

Grass collection basket

• The grass collection basket can be cleaned with a water hose for thorough cleaning.

Removing/sharpening the cutter bar
If the cutting performance of the blade decreases, you can remove the blade and have it resharpened by a specialist company. When installing, clean the contact surface of the flange and blade well.

Tighten the clamping screw well again. Fig. 11 Spare parts must comply with the requirements specified by the manufacturer. Therefore only use original spare parts or spare parts approved by the manufacturer.

Repairs
Check the device for damage. Have repairs carried out only by a customer service workshop authorised by the manufacturer.

Storage

Note

• Remove the safety key before storage.
• Store the device in a dry and frost-free location (10- 25 °C).
• Store the rechargeable battery and device separately.
• Recharge the rechargeable battery before storage in winter.
• Keep the device and in particular plastic components away from brake fluids, petrol, petroleum products, penetrating oils etc. They contain chemical substances which can damage or destroy the plastic components of the device.
• Fertiliser and other garden chemicals contain substances that can have a severely corrosive effect on the metal parts. Do not store the device in the vicinity of these substances.

Transport
Remove the safety key and take out the rechargeable batteries before transport!

• When changing the working area, disconnect the lawnmower from the rechargeable battery.
• You can transport the lawnmower with the carrying handle.

The packaging materials are recyclable. Please dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.

Notes on the electrical and electronic equipment act [ElektroG]

Waste electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste, but must be collected and disposed of separately!

• Used batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not installed permanently in the old appliance must be removed non-destructively before disposal. Their disposal is regulated by the battery law.

• The end user is responsible for deleting their personal data from the old device being disposed of!

Warranty

Apparent defects must be notified within 8 days from the receipt of the goods. Otherwise, the buyerís rights of claim due to such defects are invalidated.
