  • Open the valve protective cover. (pie 1)
  • Check that the valve and seals are clean of sand, dirt, or grit.
  • Check that the valve top is tightly screwed on; use the provided wrench to tighten if needed. (pie 2)
  • Make sure the built-in valve is set to the closed position, attach the pump, and inflate to 7PSI. DO NOT OVER INFLATE. (pie 3)
  • Pump up the wing slowly adjusting the leading edge and strut so there are no folds, and the bladder is arranged correctly. (pie 4)
  • Remove the pump and close the valve. (pie 5)
  • Close the protective cover. (pie 6)
  • Never leave your wing unattended without securing it to either your board, a weight, or a solid heavy object. (pie 7)
  • Never leave your wing sitting in the sun for prolonged periods of time. This could increase the air pressure and damage the bladder and wing.
  • Always before heading out on the water, attach the wrist leash to the wing’s leash connection loop and secure it to your wrist. Always check that the quick release pin is installed securely. (pie 8)

Security:

  • Always use the leash, attached around your wrist before starting. (pie 1)
  • If the wing becomes overpowered or you lose control, let go and the wing will de power on the leash line.
  • In case of emergency, pull the quick release pin to disconnect from the wing completely. (pie 2)
  • In case of emergency, the wing can be used as a signal and flotation device.

Use:

  • Avoid strong winds (>10knots) if still learning.
  • Choose the size suitable to your height, weight, and local conditions.
  • When carrying the wing use the depower or neutral handle, letting the wing “fly” behind you.
  • DO NOT drag the wing across rough surfaces.
  • Always practice flying the wing on the beach before taking it on the water.
  • To practice, take hold of the front power handle, then reach back to a rear power handle on the strut to power up.
  • Sheet the wing in by pulling on the rear hand to power up and letting go out to depower.

Packing

  • Open the valves to deflate the leading edge and strut. (pie 7)
  • Start by rolling one side of the wing in towards the strut to force air out. (pie 2)
  • Repeat with the other side. (pie 3)
  • Roll up from the bottom of the strut to remove air. (pie 4)
  • Fold up 3 times to fit into the bag. (pie 5)
  • Optional: Leave the strut inflated and extend the net sleeve from the backpack. (pie 6) This method is recommended when moving from different locations or in cold or freezing conditions.

Maintenance

  • Avoid inflating on rough surfaces.
