Product Information
The product is a toy microphone with MP3 capabilities. It comes with batteries already installed for in-store demonstration use only. The microphone requires 2 AAA size batteries, which should be replaced with fresh batteries at home. The unit has a battery compartment door that can be opened using a Philips screwdriver. The batteries need to be installed, ensuring that the + and – polarities match the diagram printed inside. The battery compartment door should then be closed and the battery door screw tightened, without over- tightening.
It is important to keep the unit dry and clean. The unit can be cleaned with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents should not be used as they may damage the surface of the case. It is advised to prevent dirt, sand, small particles, water, or other liquids from entering the toy’scasing.
If the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time, an adult should remove the battery to extend its life and prevent leaking or corrosion.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that an adult is present for battery installation.

Playing with the Microphone
There are two ways to have musical fun with your MP3 Microphone. You can sing along to the built-in song, or to any song on your MP3 player or other audio device by connecting it via the included MP3 Cable (see instructions below). Flashing lights add to the excitement! Have a great show!
Song Mode
- Slide the Mode Switch located on the side of the microphone to the Song position to enable song mode.
- Press the Song Button to play the built-in song. Lights will flash and the microphone will automatically start playing the built-in song.
- Press and hold the Mic Button to sing along to the song.
- Press the FX1 Button to rewind the built-in song while it is playing.
- Press the FX2 Button to add fun sound effects to the song!
- Press the Song Button again to turn the song off.
MP3 Mode
• Slide the Mode Switch to MP3 position to enable MP3 mode.
• Press the release tab on the MP3 cable compartment cover and remove cover.
• Connect the plug on the MP3 Audio Cable (included) to the headphone or line
out jack on your MP3 player or other audio device.
• Fit the MP3 Audio Cable into the cable slot towards the bottom of the
microphone and close the MP3 compartment door.
• Turn on and play your MP3 player/audio device.
• Press the Song Button to turn on the microphone and hear the music on your
MP3 player/audio device.
• Press and hold the Mic Button to sing along with your MP3 player. Press the
FX Buttons to remix the song with sound effects!
• Press the Song Button again to turn the microphone off. Remember to turn off
your MP3 player or other audio device, too. There is a 3 minute timer that
will automatically turn off MP3 playback. Press the Song Button again to
resume MP3 playback.
Installing the Batteries
ATTENTION: Batteries should only be installed by an adult.
The unit comes with batteries already installed. These batteries are meant for
in-store demonstration use only, and should be replaced with fresh batteries.
To replace the batteries at home:
- Use a Philips screwdriver to open the battery compartment door.
- Install 2 “AAA” size batteries into the compartment, making sure that the + and – polarities match the diagram printed inside.
- Close the battery compartment door and tighten the battery door screw. Don’t over tighten.
For the Best Possible Performance
- Only use the recommended/supplied batteries or equivalent.
- Use alkaline batteries for longer life.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries.
- Insert batteries with proper polarity (+/–) as indicated.
- Remove exhausted batteries from product.
- Recharge rechargeable batteries under adult supervision.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not open batteries or heat them beyond normal ambient temperatures.
- To prevent battery leakage or damage remove batteries from a product if it will not be used for a month or longer.
- Use extreme caution handling leaking batteries (avoid direct contact with eyes and skin). If battery leakage comes in contact with eyes, IMMEDIATELY flush the eye with lukewarm and gently flowing water for at least 30 minutes. If skin contact occurs, wash skin with clear water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if any symptoms occur.
- Store in cool, dry, ventilated area away from hazardous or combustible material.
- Do not dispose of batteries in the household trash or fire.
- Follow applicable laws and local regulations for the disposal and transportation of batteries.
- Batteries must be disposed of separately at your local waste recycling center. Do not dispose of them in your household waste bin.
Remove Demo Tab
- The unit is equipped with a Try Me feature. Before using the unit, pull out the plastic Demo Tab located on back panel.
Maintenance
- It is important to keep the unit as dry and clean as possible.

- Do not allow dirt, sand, small particles, water or other liquids to enter the toy’s casing.

Warranty
Limited One-Year Warranty
eKids, LLC warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and
materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year from
the date of original purchase. Should this product fail to function in a
satisfactory manner, it is best to first return it to the store where it was
originally purchased. Should this fail to resolve the matter and service still
be required by reason of any defect or malfunction during the warranty period,
eKids will repair or, at its discretion, replace this product without charge.
This decision is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction upon
delivery of this product to the Factory Service Center authorized by Customer
Service. If service is required, please call Customer Service at 1-888-TOP-
TOYS to obtain a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions.
Disclaimer of Warranty
NOTE: This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose
for which it was designed. It does not cover (i) products that have been
damaged by negligence or willful actions, misuse or accident, or which have
been modified or repaired by unauthorized persons; (ii) cracked or broken
cabinets, or units damaged by excessive heat; (iii) damage to digital media
players, CD’s or tape cassettes (if applicable); (iv) the cost of shipping
this product to the Factory Service Center and its return to the owner.
This warranty is valid only in the United States of America and does not
extend to owners of the product other than to the original purchaser. In no
event will eKids or any of its affiliates, contractors, resellers, their
officers, directors, shareholders, members or agents be liable to you or any
third party for any consequential or incidental damages, any lost profits,
actual, exemplary or punitive damages. (Some states do not allow limitations
on implied warranties or exclusion of consequential damages, so these
restrictions may not apply to you.) This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Your acknowledgment and agreement to fully and completely abide by the above-
mentioned disclaimer of warranty is contractually binding to you upon your
transfer of currency (money order, cashier’s check, or credit card) for the
purchase of your eKids product.
