INTRODUCTION
Meet Freewell Eiger Versatile Matte Box – the ultimate camera accessory that takes your photography and videography to the next level! This innovative system allows you to thread your past filters, use Freewell magnetic quick swap system as well as use Freewell Eiger eco system filter in a single system.
This manual is designed to guide you through installing and using the matte box. Please read the instructions carefully before use.
PARTS
INSALLATION

Thread the adaptor ring onto your camera.

Attach the matte box by pulling the two clamps and aligning the matte box to your lens.

Tighten the screw to secure the matte box in place.
FILTER INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATION
For convenient installation of your threaded filter, we recommend removing the
front hood to access the threaded area.

USING EXISTING THREADED FILTERS
The Freewell Eiger Matte Box is designed to work with threaded filters of
up to 82mm with an outer diameter of 92mm

Place your sunshade hood on plain surface align the cut-out than press the
release lap to install
USING FREEWELL MAGNETIC QUICK SWAP FILTERS
The Eiger adaptor rings have dual functionality, featuring both threads and
magnets. This enables you to utilize your current Freewell Magnetic Quick Swap
filters without requiring an adaptor ring.
EIGER ECO SYSTEM FILTERS
VND: To effortlessly move the filter, simply unlock the VND compartment
and smoothly slide the filter. Dual function VND system CPL, VND 1-5, VND 6-9.
RANGE OF CIRCULAR MAGNETIC: IR ND, Snow Mist, Glow Mist, UV, Streak to
choose from
FILTER STACK
You can stack an unlimited number of filters as per your requirement.
Still, it’s important to note that stacking filters may result in reduced
sharpness and cause vignetting depending on the behavior of the lens.
GRADIENT FILTER HOLDER
Enables you to adjust the position of the gradient filter in real-time by
sliding it & setting the horizon.
MAINTENANCE
- Clean the matte box regularly to prevent dust and debris buildup.
- Do not expose the matte box to extreme temperatures or moisture.
- Store the matte pack in a dry and safe place when unused.
