VL802 Ultrasonic Fuel Sensor
Product Information
The Ultrasonic Fuel Sensor (VL802) is a device used for accurately measuring and monitoring fuel levels in tanks. It utilizes ultrasonic technology and is compatible with the TSP platform. The device operates on RS485 communication and requires a 12V DC power supply.
Product Usage Instructions
- Preparation: Before installation, ensure you have the following components: VL802 device, UL212 Ultrasonic Fuel sensor, and a 12V DC power supply.
- Fuel Sensor Installation: Refer to the UL212 User Guide for detailed instructions on installing the fuel sensor.
- RS485 Ultrasonic Fuel Sensor Wiring: Connect the wiring according to the instructions provided. Note that the white wire of the ultrasonic fuel sensor is replaced by gray in the picture.
- Configuration of FuelGuard Application:
- Ensure that Bluetooth and Location services are enabled on your phone and open the FuelGuard app.
- Click on MENU and refresh the device list. Connect to the installed ultrasonic fuel sensor.
- Go back to the home page and click on SETTING. Enter the password: 52381. Set the parameters as shown in picture 2. Click the READ button and verify that you receive the information shown in picture 3.
- Go back to the home page again and click on TANK CONFIG. Set your Fuel tank information via the app. Make sure the red marked info matches picture 2. The configuration of the app is now complete.
- Configuration of Communicator:
- Turn on the oil stealing/refueling alert report. Use the command UL212OILALM [,A] [,B] [,C]#, where A represents the alarm content (0: Not detect alarm, 1: Oil stealing alarm, 2: Refueling alarm, 3: Oil stealing+refueling alarm), B represents the alarm reporting method (0: GPRS only, 1: SMS+GPRS), and C represents the alarm silence time (2-60 minutes). The default value is (0,0,2#).
- Configuration of TSP Platform:
- Access the TracksolidPro HOME.
- Turn on the oil display feature.
- Set the Fuel tank information and Fuel sensor type.
- Turn on the push of oil stealing and oil refueling alert push.

This document is used for getting start with Ultrasonic fuel sensor (RS485) of VL802 and TSP platform, please follow the instructions to operate.
Preparation
- VL802 device;
- UL212 Ultrasonic Fuel sensor;
- 12V DC Power supply
Fuel sensor Installation
For this part, please check another document which named “UL212 user Guide” in detail.

- Note : The white wire of the ultrasonic fuel sensor is replaced by gray in the picture.
Configuration of FuelGuard Application:
You need to configure the Fuel sensor via the APP named FuelGuard when you
finished the wiring connection between VL802 and sensor.
- Ensure the Bluetooth and Location of your phone were switched on and open the app.
- Click MENU and refresh the device list, connect the ultrasonic fuel sensor that you’re installed.
- Back to home page, then click SETTING and input the password: 52381, now set the parameters as the following picture 2, Ensure you got the info of picture 3 when you clicked the READ button, then you can move to next step.
- Back to home page, then click TANK CONFIG, and set the your Fuel tank information via APP, and back to home page again, ensure the red marked info were matched as the picture2. Then the configuration of app are finished.
Configuration of Communicator
Turn on oil stealing/refueling alert report.
- Refueling/oil stealing alarm control command: UL212OILALM [,A] [,B] [,C]#
- A: Detect alarm content 0: Not detect alarm 1: Oil stealing alarm 2: Refueling alarm 3 Oil stealing+refueling alarm
- B: Alarm reporting method, 0 only GPRS, 1 SMS+GPRS;
- C: Alarm silence time (2-60 minutes)
- Description: Default value (0,0,2#)
