INTERMATIC WP3100C Weatherproof In-Use Cover

Product Information

The WP3100C is a weatherproof enclosure designed for single gang applications. It meets the 2005 NEC 406.8 (B) code and is suitable for 15 and 20 Amps, 125 and 250V receptacles installed in wet locations. The enclosure has a depth of 69.85 mm and comes with one cover that can be configured in multiple ways. It is NEMA 3R rated and features an insert design protected by US Patent #5 280 135 and Canadian Patent #2 073 932.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. For new construction, install the WP3100C device in an approved junction box according to the device manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Configure the WP3100 base by removing the cord set ports as shown in the diagram (1).
  3. Select the appropriate device insert. If needed, modify the toggle/single receptacle insert to fit your device (2).
  4. Snap the insert into the base.
  5. Secure the base onto the device or junction box using the provided device screws or box screws (3).
  6. Snap the cover portion onto the hinges. The cover must always hinge on top (3).

Installation Instructions for WP3100C

  1. For new construction, install device in approved junction box per device manufacturers instructions.
  2. Configure WP3100 base by removing cord set ports as per diagram.
  3. Select proper device insert. If necessary, modify toggle/single receptacle insert for appropriate device.
  4. Snap insert into base.
  5. Secure base onto device or junction box using device screws or box screws provided
  6. Snap cover portion onto appropriate hinges. Cover must always hinge on top.
