Product Information
The NVENT CADDY ROD LOCK SPRING STEEL STRUT NUT is a product that combines
the unique properties of Spring Steel and CADDY push-to-install technology. It
is designed to provide a quick and secure installation of threaded rods or
bolts. The strut nut can be used with a hex nut on threaded rods for fast
installation of prefabricated trapeze systems or with a truss head bolt for
fast wall mounting of electrical boxes and other services.

Additional Product Details
The QCN requires a longer bolt than standard strut nuts. Please refer to
the instruction sheet for detailed information. For shallow strut
installations (21mm or 13/16 deep), the QCN should be installed directly above
a slot hole.
Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Ensure you have the appropriate length of bolt for the QCN strut nut.
- If installing on the shallow strut, locate a slot hole directly above where you want to install the QCN.
- Insert the QCN strut nut into the slot hole or the strut channel, ensuring it is securely in place.
- Thread the longer bolt through the QCN strut nut and tighten using a suitable tool until the desired torque of 10 in-lb is reached.
Usage
- If used for prefabricated trapeze systems, attach a hex nut to the threaded rod and secure it using the QCN strut nut.
- If mounting electrical boxes or other services on walls, use a truss head bolt and secure it using the QCN strut nut.
