Enabling Devices 889M Mini Puppy Dog

Product Information

The Mini Puppy Dog #889M is an interactive toy designed for children. It requires 2 AA batteries (not included) to operate. The toy is equipped with a 1/8 jack for use with external capability switches with a 1/8 plug. It features walking forward and barking actions when activated by an external capability switch.

Product Usage Instructions

Ensure you have 2 AA alkaline batteries (e.g. Duracell or Energizer Brands) available for operation. Do not use rechargeable batteries as they supply a lower voltage.
Turn the Mini Puppy Dog upside down to reveal the battery compartment.
Install the 2 AA batteries in the correct polarity, paying close attention to the battery placement.
Replace and secure the battery compartment cover.
Connect the Mini Puppy Dog to an external capability switch (not included) via the jack located at the end of the Puppy Dog’s cord. Ensure a tight connection without any gaps.
Actuate the external capability switch to activate the Mini Puppy Dog. It will walk forward and bark.
The Mini Puppy Dog will remain on as long as the external capability switch is being actuated. Once you release the external capability switch, there will be a brief delay, and then the Puppy Dog will turn off.

Product Care Instructions

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of the Mini Puppy Dog, please follow these care instructions:

Do not inhibit the Mini Puppy Dog’s movement, as it may cause irreversible damage.
Avoid lifting the Mini Puppy Dog up by its head, tail, or legs, and refrain from dropping it.
If you won’t be using the Mini Puppy Dog for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries.
Do not submerge the unit in water, as it will damage the electrical components. Surface wash the Mini Puppy Dog only.

Operation

Mini Puppy Dog requires 2 AA batteries (not included) to operate. Alkaline batteries must be used (e.g. Duracell or Energizer Brands). Do not use rechargeable batteries because they supply a lower voltage and the unit may not perform as well. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together.
Turn Mini Puppy Dog upside down to reveal the battery compartment. Install 2 AA batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it. Connect Puppy Dog to any external capability switch (not included) via the jack located at the end of Puppy Dog’scord. Puppy Dog is equipped with a 1/8” jack for use with external capability switches with a 1/8” plug. Make sure to make a tight connection. There should be no gaps.
Actuate your external capability switch and Mini Puppy Dog will spring to life! He will walk forward and bark.
Mini Puppy Dog will remain on while the external capability switch continues to be actuated. Once you release the external capability switch, there will be a brief delay, and then Puppy Dog will turn off.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Mini Puppy Dog does not function correctly.

Action #1: Replace the batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
Action #2: Make sure that the connection between the external capability switch and the jack is TIGHT. There should be NO gaps.
Action #3: Try your switch with another switch operated toy/device in an effort to rule out your switch as the source of the problems.
