Introduction
Misty the Whale is here to soothe and calm with a smile. Press her left fin or your external capability switch and she plays a four minute melody with ocean sounds as her belly changes colors. Press her right f in to change to one of three volume levels. Misty has a loop for hanging and is covered in soft plush for hugging. On/off switch conserves battery life. Works with or without a capability switch.
Requires 3 AAA Batteries. Size: 8″L x 8½”W x 6″H. Weight: ½ lb.
Operation
- Misty the Whale requires 3 AAA batteries (Not included) to operate. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together.
- The battery compartment is located on the
- bottom of Misty, under the Velcro flap. Using a Phillips head screwdriver open and remove the batter cover. Next install 3 AAA batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw. Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
- Connect Misty to any external capability switch (not included) via the jack located at the end of her cord. Misty is equipped with a 1/8″ jack for use with external capability switches with a 1/8″ plug. Make sure you have pushed the switch plug all the way in. There should be no gaps.
- Actuate your external capability switch or squeeze musical note on Misty’s fin, and she cycles through different colors while playing a 4-minute peaceful melody, with whale sounds playing in the background.
Each switch activation or musical Note squeeze will start or stop Misty. The song will change and start from the beginning the next time you activate her.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: Misty does not function correctly.
Action #1: Replace the batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
Action #2: Make sure that the connection between the external capability switch is pushed in all the way. There should be NO gaps.
Action #3: Try your switch with another switch operated toy/ device in an effort to rule out your switch as the source of the problems.
care of Unit:
If you will not be using Misty for an extended amount of time, we recommend removing the batteries.
Do not submerge the unit in water, as it will damage the electrical components. Misty is surface washable only.
