Redefining Power Quality
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR POWER
Every piece of equipment that you spec into a design or include in an
installation says something about your company. The reliability of each one of
those pieces and its ability to do its job adds to or detracts from your
reputation.
Throughout its history, SurgeX has been a power quality innovator that
provides a solid AC power foundation to ensure that electronic equipment is
being supplied with clean electricity to perform properly with minimal service
burden. Our patented Advanced Series Mode® technology eliminates surge energy
up to 6,000V, without producing harmful side effects such as ground
contamination or common mode disturbances and is unrivaled in the industry.
What’s in it for you? Simply, peace of mind. SurgeX combines true surge
elimination, EMI/RFI filtration and unsurpassed analytical software to help
businesses control the unstable nature of the power grid. When SurgeX products
are part of your design, equipment error-codes, lockups, reboots, downtime and
service calls are drastically reduced.
Protected by SurgeX means you never have to worry about whether your AV
installation will fail or if the reputation of your business is at risk.
RACK MOUNT
Surge Elimination at the Rack Level
Comprehensive power protection and conditioning to ensure optimal equipment
performance. Safeguards audio, video, and security rack mount equipment from
damaging surges, spikes and EMI/RFI noise.
REMOTE TURN-ON CAPABILITIES
Surge Elimination with Remote Turn-On
These SurgeX products offer comprehensive power protection and conditioning to
safeguard AV equipment from harmful electrical transients that can cause
malfunction and downtime.
Via a pluggable terminal block, the RT series can be daisy chained with other
RT units or with the SEQ series to expand turn ON/OFF operations. In addition,
they can be integrated with other systems for off-site power control of
electronic equipment.
SEQUENCERS
Keep Things in Order and Improve Performance
When electronic equipment must be powered up or down in order, rather than
simultaneously, sequencing is needed. In AV systems, sequencing is often
necessary for controlling power distribution to avoid pops and hissing sounds,
along with excessive inrush surge currents that can trip circuits.
STANDALONE
Surge Elimination Outside of a Rack
The SurgeX Standalone lineup protects mission-critical equipment in
environments outside of a rack. Their compact design
easily fits along, behind, or near equipment, takes up minimal space, and are
perfect for AV, surveillance, and monitoring systems.
POWER MANAGEMENT
Take Control of the Power Environment
A complete power management solution that provides remote insight and control
of the electrical power consumed by an underlying device. It enables the
switching of devices in various power modes, each with different power usage
characteristics related to device performance. It gives technicians the
ability to easily manage their installs remotely and limit service calls.
Attack Power Anomalies
Designed to fulfill the unique needs of today’s small meeting/huddle space
environments and digital signage/video applications, the SurgeX Squid packs an
array of power quality tentacles in a compact design. It ushers in a new
category for power quality that packs tremendous options in a compact design
to offer a completely contained, boxed network control, AC/DC and USB
protection in a single global application.
BATTERY BACKUP
UPS Standalone
Experience a Seamless Transition
SurgeX Standalone UPS solutions deliver clean continuous power, via online
double conversion technology, to ensure the safe shutdown of equipment in the
event of an outage. All incoming power is converted from AC to DC and then
back to AC. If the main power is interrupted, the batteries are still holding
up the incoming DC supply to the inverter, so the load continues to be
supplied with absolutely no interruption whatsoever. The zero transfer time
guarantees mission critical equipment remains up and running.
Features:
- Online double conversion technology
- True sinewave output
- Controllable receptacles
- Hot swappable battery
- Configurable as tower or 48.26cm rack
- Intuitive LCD screen
- Optional SNMP card to monitor and manage the UPS via the network
UPS Large Format
Clean, Continuous Power to Critical Loads
SurgeX Large Format uninterruptible power supplies guarantee a reliable,
efficient and cost-effective solution for powering mission critical equipment.
They regenerate AC power via true online
double-conversion technology coupled with an isolation transformer to entirely
re-establish the neutral to ground bond. Unique to the industry, this
combination eradicates harmonics and common mode noise to guarantee optimum
performance and reliability. Offering a better experience for end users and
less service calls for Integrator’s.
Features:
- Online double conversion technology
- Low-impedance isolation transformer
- Low Input TDH
- Static bypass switch
- Inrush load rating up to 300%
- Voltage conversion capability
- Generator compatibility
- Expandable battery packs
- Impressive 0.9 output power factor
- Multiple control options including SNMP
- Industry-leading -30%/+15% voltage range
- UL listed and CE marked
BRANCH CIRCUIT
Experience Circuit Level Power Protection
To offer a proper power foundation, surge protection and conditioning should be
installed at the branch circuit level to guarantee full coverage and lessen
the need for extra protection downstream.
DIAGNOSTICS
Instant Analysis and Resolution of Power Issues
The enVision power conditioning system’s analytical software monitors,
identifies, analyzes, and offers solutions to resolve power issues that can
cause equipment error-codes, malfunction and downtime.
REMOTE PORTAL
Gives service teams the ability to identify power problems remotely,
includes browser-based application.
MULTI-STAGE TECHNOLOGY
DEFENDER SERIES
Comprehensive Protection for Everyday Applications
Designed specifically for everyday applications, the Defender Series provides
cost-effective comprehensive power protection and conditioning to increase
uptime and ensure equipment functions properly. Its three stages of protection
ensure equipment is safeguarded from the harmful effects of surge energy, and
its advanced filtering virtually eliminates normal and common mode electrical
noise interference that can cause reboots and downtime.
TECHNOLOGY GUIDE
Advanced
Series Mode®
Patented surge protection technology that eliminates surge energy and does not
allow ground-wire contamination or common-mode disturbances.
Multi-Stage Surge Protection Technology
An advanced three-stage technology that ensures the highest level of
protection against damaging surges, spikes, over/under voltage,
EMI/RFI noise, and wiring faults.
COUVS®
Catastrophic Over / Under Voltage Shutdown® will safely power down your system
when the AC supply goes above or below a safe threshold. This patented
technology protects power supplies from overheating due to under voltage or
from direct damage due to over voltage supply. COUVS® is auto resetting and
will resume AC supply once theline voltage returns to normal.
SurgeX ICE®
Inrush Current Elimination® counteracts the momentary inrush of current that
electronic equipment creates during the turn-on period. This inrush of current
is up to 5 times the normal operating current. Powerful electronic devices
with large power requirements such as power amplifiers can often blow a circuit
breaker or damage relay and switch contacts. SurgeX ICE® soft turn on clamps
the initial inrush of current, eliminating the need to sequence amplifier turn-
on, giving total protection to your system.
Impedance Tolerant®
Gives you a totally clean AC power supply. Impedance Tolerant® EMI/RFI
filtering has been designed with real world impedances in mind,
unlike most other EMI/RFI filtering circuitry. Impedance Tolerant® EMI/RFI
filtering does not create resonant peaks caused by input and
output mismatches. These resonant peaks can be counterproductive and increase
the level of interference at certain frequencies.
All SurgeX International products are IEC 61643 certified, the globally accepted certification for a low voltage power supply system. All SurgeX International products are independently verified by an external test centre.
