USER GUIDE

Congratulations and thank you for purchasing this Schwaiger product. This user guide is designed to help you use and operate the device. Read through the instructions for use carefully. Store this guide safely throughout the product‘s entire service life and pass it on to any subsequent users or owners. Check that the supplied package is complete and ensure that none of the parts are defective or damaged.

Intended use

This product is a programmable universal remote control for controlling devices via infrared. Button programming is done through an integrated „code database“ or an automatic search. The product is designed for private use and is not intended for use in commercial or industrial environments.

General safety instructions

  • This product is intended for private, non-commercial household use.
  • This product is an electronic product that must be kept away from children. Therefore, keep it out of reach of children.
  • The product is not intended for use by children, or by adults with visual or other impairments preventing them from using it safely. In such cases, it should be used under supervision.
  • Protect the product from moisture, water, rain, snow or drizzle and use the product only in dry environments.
  • Never expose the product to high temperatures or extreme cold.
  • Do not intentionally drop the product or expose it to extreme vibrations.
  • Do not disassemble the product into its individual parts. The unit does not contain any user serviceable parts. Incorrect assembly can cause electric shocks or malfunctions.
  • The product is not user serviceable, and any attempt to do so will invalidate the guarantee

Additional battery instructions

  • Batteries must not fall into the hands of children. Young children may put batteries in their mouths and swallow them. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately!
  • Do not throw batteries into fire. Do not expose batteries to high temperatures.
  • Risk of explosion! Do not recharge the batteries.
  • Do not open or short-circuit batteries.
  • Battery acid leaking from a battery can cause skin irritation. In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of water. If the liquid has come into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, do not rub and consult a doctor immediately.

For safety reasons and reasons related to official approvals (CE), you must not convert and/or modify the product. The product may become damaged if you use it for purposes other than the one previously described. In addition, improper use may result in hazards such as short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.

Beware!

The universal remote control is equipped with an infrared diode of laser class

  1. Do not look at it with optical devices in order to avoid eye injuries.

Initial operation

Programming the remote control
This model can be programmed to control the selected device in two ways: Through classical code input or automatic code search.

Method n° 1 – Programming through code input

  1. Switch on the device to be controlled using the original remote control.

  2. Find the correct brand of your device in the enclosed code list and note down the listed codes separately if necessary

  3. Now press and hold the button of the desired device (TV/VCR/SAT/DVD/DVB-T) for about 3-4 seconds until the mute button LED indicator (top right) lights up permanently.

  4. Enter one of the corresponding codes from the code list.
    NOTE : As soon as the LED indicator goes out, the entered code has been accepted.

  5. Try the remote control to see if your device can be controlled with it.

  6. If the device does not respond, please repeat the procedure with the next code.

Method n° 2 – Programming through automatic search

  1. Switch on the device to be controlled using the original remote control.

  2. Now press and hold the button of the desired device (TV/VCR/SAT/DVD/DVB-T) for about 3-4 seconds until the mute button LED indicator (top right) lights up permanently.

  3. Point the remote control at the device to be controlled and press the On/Off button briefly. Now the remote control emits different codes. (The status LED flickers).
    NOTE : If the device switches off during the process, a code has been detected!

  4. Press immediately the button of the desired device (TV/VCR/SAT/DVD/DVB-T) again to confirm the code. (This search can take up to 5 minutes) If you have not found any matching code through this search, please try method 1.

Cleaning
Ensure that no liquids get into the product while you are cleaning it. The use of solvent-containing or aggressive cleaning agents as well as alcohol or thinners is prohibited as it could damage the coating or the surface of the product.

Disposal

The product is delivered in packaging made of recyclable materials to protect against damage during transport. Sort and dispose of these materials in the designated containers. Ask your local disposal company or local council about how to dispose of the product in an environmentally correct way

Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic devices, and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to the point of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose. The details are regulated by the respective national law. The symbol on the product, user guide or the packaging indicates this legal requirement.
