It plays music from the radio stations it tunes into. It received many FM stations that air music. It does not play CDs, tapes, or downloaded/streamed music.

Can i listen to elvis station on sirius with this?

It does not connect to Wi-Fi or blue tooth. It cannot connect to Sirius.

Is the sound good enough and loud enough for drive in?

I don’t quite understand your question. But, it does have good sound and I’m happy with it. I use it in the kitchen when I’m doing kitchen things. I listen to NPR which has weak reception where I live and it comes in loud and clear.

What color is the power cord?

The power cord on mine is black. A very thin wire and two-prong square charger/plug.

What is the battery life like?

It runs on disposable batteries, it depends on how much you use it.

Can it use rechargeable batteries of some kind?

Yes. I have a rechargeable in mine.

Does this take durecell batteries?

You can use any brand of batteries. You will need 4 x AA batteries. or you can use the adapter to plug in the outlet.

I want to use this at our pool. I really dislike the music they play. I wonder if it fit in a gallon bag?

Yes, I think it will. I just placed mine on a gallon-size bag and had space all around it.

Will the radio automatically switch to battery power When an outage occurs?

If the radio is loaded with batteries, it will automatically switch to battery power when an outage occurs.
