Product Usage Instructions

• Before cooking, wait until a layer of ashes covers the fuel.
• Do not use silicone glue or non-refractory mortar for assembly.
• Do not use the barbecue inside the house.
• Do not extinguish the fire with water.
• Micro cracks in the refractory conglomerate are normal and do not affect the safety and operation of the barbecue.
• Any white stains on the cement conglomerate pieces can be removed by washing with water and brushing the surfaces.
• Follow general safety guidelines for contact with food when using the barbecue.
• The barbecue complies with international regulations UNI EN 1860-1.
• Do not move the barbecue during use as it gets very hot.
• Keep children and animals at a safe distance during use.
• Do not use alcohol, gasoline, or similar liquids for ignition or lighting.

ASSEMBLY AND USE INSTRUCTIONS

FIND THE DIAGRAM OF YOUR BARBECUE (PAGES 10-14) BY REFERRING TO THE CODE ON THE LABEL APPLIED TO THE PACK.Keep the label with the barcode, the instructions leaflet and the drawing of the model. They will be required in case of claims or requests for spare parts. Now assemble the barbecue following the instructions shown below. Build a solid concrete base sufficiently large to hold the barbecue and make sure it is perfectly level. Assemble the barbecue elements in numerical order as shown on the assembly diagram at

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF YOUR BARBECUE:

DO NOT USE SILICONE GLUE OR NOT REFRACTORY MORTAR!!

During assembly, fix the elements together with a special glue (e.g.: “BARBEGLUE” by Sarom), or refractory mortar (e.g.: MALTA REFRATTARIA by Sarom); after assembling each element, check it with a spirit level. Attention, if the hearth comes in three pieces, fit the grill between the 2 side elements, apply a layer of special glue (e.g.: “BARBEGLUE” by Sarom) or refractory mortar (e.g.: MALTA REFRATTARIA by Sarom); wait for it to harden before proceeding. If the barbeque is provided with refractory plates, fit them into the hearth by simply laying them on the work surface without using any kind of sealing material.

IF THE BARBECUE IS SUPPLIED WITH A SIDE TABLE:

• remove all dust and dirt from the two parts to join together and dry them if they are wet
• apply the Barbeglue provided, if included in your model, to the two parts and position the elements as shown in the diagram
• apply the corner key with the appropriate screws and wait 15 minutes
• do the same for the top, aligning it with that of the barbecue and using the Barbeglue plus the relative corner . key. Given that the product is exposed to bad weather, it is NECESSARY to protect it with a paint suitable for exteriors (see catalogue of Sarom accessories).

BEFORE USING THE BARBECUE WAIT AT LEAST 48 HOURS FOR IT TO DRY COMPLETELY.

IMPORTANT
BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER USE, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOWN BELOW:

Consult the chart „FUEL“ at page 6 to CHECK before which kind of fuel should be used according to the model of barbecue purchased

• Fuel : CHARCOAL For proper use, the coals must be distributed evenly in a maximum layer of 50 mm compared to the counter space to keep it from coming in contact with the grill’s cooking surface (~ 1,5 kg).
• Fuel : WOOD. – For proper use the quantity of wood used should not be more that 1 kg per load, 3 kg pro hour

ALWAYS LIGHT the barbecue with a moderate flame until it is uniformly heated; if it is heated too rapidly visible cracks may appear as a sign of structural yield; micro-cracks are part of the normal consolidation of the refractory agglomerate and do not affect the product in the slightest. WHEN USING THE BARBECUE FOR THE FIRST TIME heat it up slowly and keep the coals red hot for at least 30 minutes. Do not begin cooking until a layer of ashes has formed. ONLY USE THE BARBECUE to cook food outdoors. Any other use is forbidden. DO NOT USE INDOORS

WARNING! Do not use alcohol, petrol or other similar fluids to light or relight!

WARNING! This barbecue will get extremely hot. Do not move while in use.

CAUTION! Keep children and animals way from the barbecue while in use.

DO NOT PUT OUT the fire with water. The occurrence of MICRO-CRACKS in the refractor parts are pos-sible as a normal changes of the cement compound and do not dimish the security and the function of the product. EFFLORESCENCE, that appear as white stains on the surface , can occur because of the natural origin of its components. Prompt cleaning with water and the brushing of the surfaces can loosen and remove them, better to perform this operation many times.They do not constitute in any case a reason for claim. WHEN NOT IN USE, especially in winter, cover the barbecue with a polythene hood (e.g.: the Sarom protecting-cover); your product will last longer. IF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT OBSERVED, THE COMPANY DECLINES ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY HARM CAUSED TO PEOPLE OR DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT ITSELF. REPAIR WORK OR REPLACEMENTS WILL BE CHARGED FOR. THIS BARBECUE COMPLIES WITH DIRECTIVE 2001/95/EC RELATIVE TO GENERAL PRODUCT SAFETY, PARTICULARLY AS REGARDS MATERIALS IN CONTACT WITH FOODSTUFFS.
