Instructions to Register a Health Care Provider Portal Account

  1. Go to https://patients.inagene.com and register an account by clicking on the “Register” button at the top right with your preferred email address and a chosen password.Inagene-Health-Care-Provider-Portal-Account-FIG-1
    After clicking on “Register” you will then see the screen below

  2. Tip : Use whatever email address you would like to receive notifications at (i.e. notifications letting you know when samples have been received at our lab, when reports are ready to view etc.) Create a password you will remember that will be secure.

  3. You will be asked to confirm if you are a patient or a Healthcare Professional – click on “Healthcare Professional”Inagene-Health-Care-Provider-Portal-Account-FIG-2
    Once you have created your Inagene Portal account, you will get an email confirmation asking you to “activate your account”. Click on “Activate”

  4. Once your Portal account is activated, you will be able to log in at https://patients.inagene.com (using the email and the password you selected) and register individual patient sample kits by just clicking on “Add a New Report” each time. IMPORTANT: You will need the 14 – digit code from the sticker inside the sample kt to register the sample.Inagene-Health-Care-Provider-Portal-Account-FIG-3

  5. After clicking on “Add a New Report” you will see the screen below. Just fill in the info to register the patient’s sample kit: Name/Gender/Date of Birth: Inagene-Health-Care-Provider-Portal-Account-FIG-4

  6. Once you have successfully registered the patient’s kit, you will then see it appear under your portal account (see screen below), and you will also receive email notifications regarding the status of the sample: (i.e. when we receive the sample back at our lab, when the results are ready to view)Inagene-Health-Care-Provider-Portal-Account-FIG-5

  7. Once the report is ready (5 – 7 days after we receive the sample at our lab), the “View” button pictured above will show up as navy blue. Simply click this button to open the report.

  8. You will then be able to share online access with the patient at any time by just clicking on “Access Overview” and “Add New Access” and following the instructions. ( Note : you will also be able to share a PDF copy by email, or even print and mail the report to the patient if preferred).
