SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  2. Children should not play with the appliance.

  3. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not be done by children without supervision.

  4. Keep the appliance and the appliance cord out of the reach of children.

  5. Do not let children play with the appliance.

  6. Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always unplug the appliance.

  7. CAUTION: Take special care when the device is used in areas where there are children, disabled people or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities.

  8. In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

  19. Do not fill the kettle while on its base. Dry any water residue on the bottom of the housing before connecting the appliance to the power supply.

  22. WARNING: Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord. In order to avoid the risk of an electric shock, never try to repair the appliance by yourself. Bring it to the authorized service station for repair. Use only the original spare parts.

  40. WARNING: Do not fill the kettle with water above the MAX point. Otherwise, the water may overflow and cause burns! Risk of burns!

  42. The water level must always be between the MIN and MAX points.

  43. CAUTION: o Fill the kettle only with clean water.

    • Do not operate the appliance without any water inside the kettle and do not overfill it. If you accidentally leave the kettle running without water, the boil dry protection will automatically turn it off. In this case, allow the kettle to cool down before filling it with cold water and turning it on again.
    • The water level must always be below the MAX mark. Otherwise the water can overflow and cause burns!
  44. To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or unit in water or any other liquid.

  45. Unplug the appliance when no water, not in use, while storage and before cleaning. Allow to cool before filling and before cleaning the appliance.

  46. In the event of appliance falling into water, disconnect the appliance from the power supply by removing the plug.

  47. Do not insert any pointy objects or other objects into the slots or holes of the appliance.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove all packaging materials and keep out of reach of children.
  3. Clean the kettle as described in the “CLEANING” paragraph.
  4. Fill the kettle with fresh tap water up to the MAX level.
  5. Let it boil and empty the jug.
  6. Apply at least 2 times to clean the jug of any residue.

CAUTION: Do not consume this water.

HOW TO USE

  1. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.

  2. Check that the mains voltage you will use matches the operating voltage stated on the device’s rating label and that they are in correspondence.

  3. Make sure that the appliance will only be connected to a grounded and properly installed outlet.

  4. Open the lid of the kettle by holding the kettle by the handle with one hand, pressing the release button and lifting the lid upwards.

  5. Remove the jug from its base before filling it with water.

  6. Next, fill in the desired amount of water between the min-max indications (max 1 liter).
    WARNING: Do not fill the kettle with water above the MAX mark. Otherwise, the water can overflow and cause burns! Risk of burns!

  7. Close the lid. Place the jug back on its base. Connect the appliance to a properly installed outlet.

  8. Turn on the kettle by pressing the on/off switch. The power indicator will light up. The boil has begun.

  9. ATTENTION: Do not touch or lift the lid of the kettle and the duration of operation of the device.

  10. The kettle will automatically turn off once the water boils and the indicator light will turn off.

  11. Lift the kettle from its base and serve. When serving water, the lid of the kettle must remain closed.
    CAUTION: Take extra care when moving the kettle containing boiling water and its surface is hot.

  12. You can stop the brewing process at any time by pressing the switch to the on/off position.

  13. Unplug the device from the power supply after use.
    NOTE: Never use the kettle without water inside.

CLEANING AND CARE

To extend the life of the appliance, clean and descale the jug frequently. The frequency of desalination depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency with which the device is used.

  5. Do not use acidic or abrasive detergents.
  6. Rinse the water tank with clean water. Then dry it with a cloth.
  7. Clean the outer casing after use with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a dry cloth.
  8. Use vinegar or a commercial citric acid (sour) descaler to descale the jug. After descaling the appliance, boil fresh water several times (about 3-4 times) to remove any residue.

CAUTION: Do not consume this water.

STORAGE

  1. Always unplug the appliance before storing it.
  2. Always make sure that the appliance is cold, dry and clean before storing.
  3. Always store the appliance out of the reach of children.
  4. Always store the appliance in a safe and clean place. For the better protection of the appliance, store it in its original packaging.
