You will need the model number of your refrigerator.
The number is inside of the refrigerator on the information label. After scanning the code, key your model on the search bar and select it, You will find a digital version of your manual in the documentation section.

QUICK START GUIDE

  1. Select a clean, damp-free, spacious area.
  2. Remove all packaging materials: tape, cardboard, plastic bags, Styrofoam, etc.
  3. Installation Clearances: Allow 5 cm (2in) of space on each side, 10 cm (4in) behind, and 5 – 10 cm (2 to 4 in) on top so that air can circulate. The product will going to consume more energy without these gaps.
  4. Leave the refrigerator to rest for six to eight hours for the refrigerant system to settle.
  5. Clean the refrigerator with a cloth or soft sponge and mild soap before plugging it to the power.
  6. Plug the refrigerator. Let it operate empty and with doors closed for four hours. (Clean it inside before use).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Important:

a) Read the technical instructions before installing this product.
b) Read the operating instructions before plugging in this product

This product is not meant to be used by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or those with a lack of experience and knowledge, except when they are under supervision or if they have received training regard to the use of the product by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be under supervision at all time to ensure they do not play with the refrigerator. This appliance is intended to be used only on household.

USE OF EXTENSION CORDS
Follow the next advices to prevent electrical discharges and fires.

  • Because of potential safety hazards don’t use any kind of extension cord or multi contacts.
  • Do not plug any other appliances or devices in the same outlet.
  • Take the cord by the plug. Do never unplug it, pulling from the cable.
  • The refrigerator has a Y-shaped polarized outlet with an integrated ground wire. Do not remove the ground wire neither use any kind of adaptors.
  • If there are voltage variations in the power source, use a voltage regulator.
  • Do not twist the cord & be sure to don´t damage his cover.
  • The refrigerator has to be connected to a ground installation, before connect your refrigerator review your installations with a qualied electrician.
  • The ground installation must NOT be connected to a gas tube, a water tube or a plastic tube
  • If the outlet on the wall is damaged do not connect the refrigerator.
  • Only plug the refrigerator on outlets with 3 pins with ground installation. Any damage caused by not follow this indication is a customer responsibi- lity.
  • Plug the refrigerator on outlets with vertical orientation.

WARNING
The male plug must be connected only on a female plug with the same technical characteristics.
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS

LEVELING

Place the refrigerator on a surface. The leveling screws are located on the bottom of the refrigerator at the front. Adjust them so that the product does not move during normal usage.

Two people are needed to level the refrigerator. While one person tilts it backward, the other must turn the screws clockwise.
Between the foor and the edge of the case there must be approximately 48 millimeters (1.9 inches).

After leveling, allow the refrigerator to stand for six to eight hours.

Before plugging it to the power source, clean the inside using a soft sponge and mild soap or baking powder dissolved in water

WARNING:
Do not remove the leveling screw. It can cause the device to tilt and fall.

PLACEMENT

Air must circulate around the refrigerator to work well. Review topic number 3 of the Quick Start Guide. Do not place the refrigerator near a heat source (stove, oven, heater or similar) or expose it to the sun.
Note: These models are not door swing reversible.

HEATING OF AREAS NEAR THE FREEZER

The anti-condensation system can cause heating on the exterior of the refrigerator; this is normal. Nevertheless, on conditions of high heat and high humidity it is possible to have a light condensation. Remove it with a clean soft cloth.

FOOD STORAGE ADVICE

  1. When placing items in the refrigerator, be sure that nothing is blocking the air vents.
  2. Do not storage cans, transfer its content to other containers. All food stored in your refrigerator should be wrapped with paper aluminum, plastic or stored in containers with top. This will help to preserve its freshness and to avoid mixing odors.
  3. To save energy, let food cool before storing it.
  4. Store juice in containers with lids so that it does not contaminate other food with odors and avors.
  5. Do not wash fruit or vegetables before putting them in the refrigerator. Put them in a bag and wash them before using them.
  6. Store onions in plastic bags.
  7. Darkness and cold promote garlic germination. It is not advisable to refrigerate this vegetable.
  8. Close doors as soon as possible when placing or removing items from the refrigerator.
  9. Divide food into small portions for freezing. Spread them on the compartment or shelves, this helps air to circulate.
  10. Before storing products, check the expiration dates and don’t exceed the recommended storage time .
  11. Avoid storing soda or sparkling beverages in the freezer.
  12. When putting something in the freezer for the first time, do not place it next to something that is already frozen.
  13. All food that is going to be freezed, should not be in direct contact with food that is simply stored. Might be necessary to reduce the amount of food that is going to be freezed, if the freezed food is anticipated daily.
  14. To avoid undesired increments on temperature while the food is been unfreeze. Cover the frozen food with blank newspaper.
  15. Some products, like ice pops, should not be consumed at too cold temperatures.
  16. Some fruits and vegetables don’t tolerate low temperatures therefore they don’t have to be stored in the refrigerator.

GENERAL PRECAUTION
The room temperature aects the refrigerator’s eciency. If the doors are frequently opened select a colder temperature setting on the refrigerator.
When storing food, do not block the air vents.

Do not touch the inside of the freezer with wet hands.

Short after closing the doors, it may become dicult to open the doors again. The exchange of air at dierent temperatures creates a vacuum eect. Wait 10 to 15 seconds prior to opening the door again.

WARNING:
Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate the defrost process.

WARNING:
Do not use electrical devices inside of the store compartments of the appliance.

WARNING:
Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a ammable agent in this appliance.

WARNING:
Do not damage the refrigeration system.

WARNING:
If the power cord has been damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service agent or to avoid any damage.

WARNING:
The product is not considered used in a normal way when:

  • The installation or operation has not been carried out according to these user and care instructions.
  • It has been used for commercial, industrial or any other means apart from those stipulated in the operating instructions.
  • It has been repaired by unauthorized Service center.
  • It has been damaged by a natural disaster or unforeseen circumstances.

Do not allow children to hang on the doors or play near the refrigerator when the door is open as they can hurt themselves or become trapped.

If your refrigerator has lockable doors and keys, keys must be out of reach of the children and kept away of the refrigerator, to avoid the children get locked inside of the refrigerator.

FINAL DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE
This refrigerator uses a FLAMMABLE GAS FOAMING AGENT CYCLOPENTANE (C-PENTANE) for the insulation and a FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT GAS R600a. The final disposal of this product shall do according to the local or federal regulations, if you have any doubt, contact with the manufacturer.

DANGER
RISK OF CHILD ENTRAPMENT.

Before dispose your old refrigerator or freezer:

  • Take off the doors.
  • Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.

To remove the door for final disposal, follow the next steps:
To remove the doors, you will need:

  • 1 Hexagonal head screwdriver 5/16.
  • 1 Torx T20 screwdriver.

This operation has to be performed by 2 people.
Follow the next steps to remove the doors:

  1. Remove the plastic hinge cover at the top of the fresh food door.
  2. While 1 person holds the door, remove the screws from the top hinge with the hexagonal head screwdriver.
  3. After removing the hinge, unplug the cables routed in the hinge, lift the door to remove it & take out the bushing from the door.
  4. Remove the middle hinge with the Torx screwdriver.
  5. After removing the middle hinge lift the freezer door to remove it. (you will need to unplug the cables for the illuminated handle on the models equipped with it).

REFRIGERATOR LIGHT
The LED lights have to be replaced only by the manufacturer, an or authorized service agent.

To Models with light on the handle: The light on display and handles stays at medium intensity all the time and only will change to high intensity when the door is opened, or the display is manipulated.

To turn the handle’s light on or o press simultaneously and hold the “Fridge Temp.” and “Turbo Cool” buttons for 5 seconds.

When the door is open for more than one minute, the display will emit an audible alarm and the handles will begin to ash; once the door is closed, the alarm will stop and the handles will return to their normal state (light on).

MOVING, TRIPS AND ABSENCES
If you are going to be away more than two weeks, disconnect the refrigerator. Leave it empty & clean, including the ice trays. If is possible, leave the doors open to prevent an accumulation of smells.

During a move, tilt the refrigerator to the back and thread in the leveling screws to avoid damage. If you need to lay down the refrigerator: (seen it from the front).

  • Do it only on the left side on the models RMB520I & RMB400I.
  • Do it only on the right side on the model RMB300I. After having positioned the refrigerator in its new location, follow the installation instructions so that the refrigerant gas and the oil in the compressor have time to settle.

THE PRODUCT IS CONSIDERED NOT TO BE USED IN A NORMAL WAY WHEN:

  • When there is presence of rust caused by hit, scratches, extreme saline environments, etc. (our authorized service centers oer maintenance and repair services with reasonable prices).
  • The product shows signs of damage caused by improper use by the client, animal attacks (rodents, insects or others) or extreme environmental conditions where the product has been installed such as humidity , excessive salinity or dust.
  • It has been damaged while being transported by the buyer.

POWER FAILURES

Follow the next instruction to avoid an inappropriate rise of temperature on the frozen food while is been defreeze.

Close doors as soon as possible when placing or removing items from the refrigerator.

During the first four hours, the temperature in the refrigerator will not change much. If the power outage lasts for more than six hours, put bags of ice in the refrigerator compartments (fresh food and freezer). Try to keep the doors close. If the electrical voltage fiuctuates, unplug the refrigerator power cord until the supply normalizes.

Energy shootdown stops Power Cool and Holidays functions, you will have to re- set after the shutdown.

Damages caused by electric shock, voltage fiuctuations, dierent power source connections than those specified, and catastrophe are not considered normal usage for the product.

If your refrigerator stays o during long time, check the state of food, the elevation of the temperature of frozen food can reduce their useful life.

CONTROL EXTERIOR

Important: The pictures correspond to the Most highly equipped models.
Fridge Temp.: Controls the temperature of the refrigerator. Coldest indicates the coldest point, Cold indicates the least cold point.
Power Cool/Turbo Cool: Speeds up the cooling of the entire equipment. Use it after storing a large supply of food that comes at room temperature.
Alarm: Alerts you when the door has been left open for more than a minute. To deactivate it, press the button until the light turns o.
Holidays: Allows you to save energy when the refrigerator is not going to be used for several days.
Lock: Blocks the external control. Activate or deactivate it by pressing the button for three seconds.

Energy Saver/eco: Light turns on/o automatica- lly when the energy consumption is optimum. This is not a system controlled by the user, the refrigerator will turn it on/o according to use.
CONTROL EXTERIOR

HOW EACH PART WORKS

When the refrigerator door is opened, the shelves and other surfaces can become fogged due to ambient humidity. This is normal.

AIR FLOW CONTROL
For optimal product performance, the regulator slot must be in a center position. Move the dial only if it is necessary to control the air low between the freezer and the cooler. Slide it to the left to cool faster the cooler compart- ment. (the freezer will be slower) and Slide it to the right for the opposite eect.

IMPORTANT: The changes on the regulator do not modify the temperature, only modified the time that takes to reach it. We recommend to use the suggested configuration.

Note: Use your shelves to store your food leave space between items and distribute them between the shelves. Do not completely fill the fridge with food, this will allow air to circulate and improve eciency

SHELVES

The shelves are made of tempered glass. Mid shelf can hold 10 Kg and complete shelf 15Kg.
To remove:

a) Remove contents.
b) Hold with both hands, pop the back up and pull it out

To place it back again, be sure that rests on its guides and push it back until firmly set at the end.

Note: Use these shelves storing your food/items only over the glass surface. DO NOT EXPOSE THE GLASS TO EXTREME TEMPERATURE CHANGES.

The space indicated is not for shelves.

NOTE: this Section available for accessories of more equipped models.

DOUBLE HALF SHELVES

  1. IDENTIFY the shelves rails inside the refrigerator, this will allow you to arrange your shelves as it suits you best. To avoid slipping, do not forget to place the shelf in the cavity for assembly.
  2. CUSTOMIZE AND IMPROVE the visibility of your products by arranging the shelves to your liking.
  3. ENJOY all the space obtained. Remember that you can change your settings as many times as you want.
    DOUBLE HALF SHELVES

MEDIUM SHELVES

Medium shelves can hold 2Kg.
These shelves cannot be relocated. Remove them for cleaning purposes only.

Important: The accessories listed next will be found only in some models.

DOUBLE SHELF
It allows you to store wide bottles

To remove it:

  1. Take the shelf from both ends & Push in from the left side.
  2. Lift the left side First.
  3. and then lift the right side as shown on the picture.

To replace it back on the door, align the shelf and push it down until rested passing through the locking guides.

JUMBO DRINKS SHELF
This shelf provides the perfect space for storing tall bottles. This shelves can hold 6Kg. To remove it, lift until it comes out. To replace back in door, align shelf and push down until it rests passing through the locking guides.

VEGETABLE & FRUIT CRISPER
Use this drawer to keep fruit and vegetables fresh. To remove, pull it, when you get to the stop, lift it lightly.

EXTERNAL ACCESS SHELF
Us this shelf to take your items through the external access door without opening the main cooler door.

MULTI PURPOSE DRAWER FREEZER
Use this drawer to store frozen food that It will not be used soon. can hold 10Kg.

SLIDING TRAY
This accessory has a division to store ice or to separate your frozen food. If you pull it out has a tilt for an easy and fast access to the food items. Can hold 16 kg

JUMBO COMPARTMENT FREEZER
Use it to store frozen food that require too much space. When sliding out it tilts to allow for an easier and better access to food. Can hold 12 Kg.

EXPRESS STATION
This feature allows you to easily carry on food items to and from the refrigerator. To remove the express station rst, remove the boxes. Then remove the shelf along with the express station base. Release the component by lifting up the front lock and slide back the base. To install the express station remove the shelf and engage from back to front as shown in the picture.

WATER DISPENSER

WARNING:
USE ONLY POTABLE WATER

The water dispenser is on the door.

  1. Is not necessary to take out the tank to refill it. Lift the cap and fill it with a glass or pitcher up to maximum fill line.
  2. Clean the tank when deemed necessary. Do not use detergent.
  3. To remove the tank first ensure that it is empty. Remove the cap, take the tank from the middle, lift lightly and pull it out. After removing, hold it from the bottom. To put it back in place, set it on the module and push to the end.

SMART FILL ICE FACTORY

WARNING:
USE ONLY POTABLE WATER.

  1. Take out the water tank on the upper side.
  2. Before filling the tank, check the inside for any ice remnants and eliminate them
  3. Identify the limit mark filling, Lift the cap and fill the tank with potable water up to the maximum fill line.
  4. Close the cap, put the tank back to his place and push it to the very end. The water will be poured into the ice tray.
  5. When the ice is ready, pull the handle until the ice tray twists and ice falls into the lower compart- ment.

To clean the Smart Fill Ice Factory, only use a soft sponge, water and mild soap. Do not use fibers, detergent or sharp objects.

NO FROST SYSTEM
It is not necessary to defrost the refrigerator as the NO FROST system does it for you. It also distributes cold air. The system is activated automatically when is need it.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To clean and maintain the refrigerator in good working conditions:

  1. Always disconnect it before any maintenance and cleaning.
  2. Never use toxic cleaning products.
  3. Do not use abrasive products, fibers, or sharp objects that can damage surfaces.
  4. Use a soft sponge or a damp cloth and mild soap; rinse and dry the parts with a clean, dry cloth.
  5. Although the tempered glass shelves can contain some liquid, clean spills as soon as possible.
  6. It is recommended to clean the condenser every six months. Contact a qualified maintaining service to do it or call the MABE Service to program a maintenance visit.
