This instruction is attached in each new LLRD road crack slotting machine. Reading this instruction carefully could help users to operate the machine correctly and stably, and also to know more about the principles and functions of high-graded equipment.

Within one year, authorized dealers of Hefei Huayang could apply for free replacement of any components that are damaged due to quality problems. We also offer free warranty service of generators, motors, pumps and diesel burners that are damaged in normal operation.
Other damages caused by incidents, arbitrary modification, wrongly added of lubricant, cylinder score caused by lack of engine oil…are beyond our warranty scope.
Note: We are not responsible for breakdowns caused by using other branded components and sealants.

Procedure of warranty claim

You should follow the below procedure when applying for a warranty claim. If you do not follow the procedure, you may fail in warranty claims.

1. Make a phone call to your local agent of Hefei Huayang. If there is no agent in your area, call Hefei Huayang directly;

2.  Please confirm your model No., model type and purchasing date in advance, before you contact your local agent or our company;

3. For claim about components, Hefei Huayang or our agent would go to the spot to check the causes of failure. Please be honest and do not hide the truth of abnormal failure

Safety Instruction

To help you better understand the features of road crack sealing machine, please read this instruction carefully. Right usage and maintenance could avoid safety accidents, guaranteeing longer life and the most efficient performance.

Safety work contents include:

1.  Wear trousers;
2. Wear labor boots (shoes);
3. Wear a mask or an eye shied;
4. Wear dust-proof mask
5. Wear Earplugs
6. There must be operators when the engine is working
7. Remove the irrelevant items. When the machine is working, the operator must not stand in the front of the slot machine. The operator of the slot machine can not touch the exhaust outlet with the hand.
8. In the working process of the slot machine, the only operation position is behind the machine, and the slot depth is controlled by the handle. Only when the device is completely at rest, the tool can be manually adjusted to realize slot width adjustment.
9. Do not add external force or lateral force when the machine is conducting cutting work.
10. Do not stand on any part of the machine.
11. When working, the machine should be operated by the operator only, and no one else is allowed to adjust the machine or operate the machine.
12. When in transportation, the engine must be stopped first.
13. Grooving machine then starts working. The rise and fall of the whole machine is realized through adjusting the levelers, and then realize the adjustment of the slot depth. In the process of descending, you must adopt a slow way. Rapid descending is strictly prohibited; rapid descending will cause the machine body’s instantaneous increase recoil, thereby causing personnel accident

Operating Instruction

1. Before starting
   1.1 Engine oil
   Place the engine horizontally and use the oil gauge to measure the oil. If the oil is not enough, please add oil from the injection port in time. (Use the following oil products 10W-30)

as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius, but when used in normal temperature, there is a tendency to increase the oil consumption, so please pay attention to the daily inspection.

About the quality of motor oil, please use the product above SC level if the oil quality is low, it may be burnt.
1-2 Fuel
Please use unleaded petrol for car（90# and above）。When refueling, turn off the engine first and use the fuel screen of the injection port. In addition, if there is a spill, please wipe clean in time.
1-3 Manual worm gear (lifting screw rod)
Using yellow lubricating oil on this part
1-4 Transmission belt
Remove the transmission belt cover to check whether the v-belt between the engine and cutter shaft is loose or damaged. Check the slack of the drive belt, such as pushing the middle part of the two shafts; if you can push down 10mm – 15mm, it is normal. In the case of insufficient tension, please adjust it. When replacing the v-type transmission belt, please replace the three pieces at the same time and use them as accessories.
1-5 Check whether the bolts and nuts are loose
1-6 Check whether the blade and the crack indicator are on the same line.
1-7 Slot depth adjustment
When adjusting the depth of the slot, pull out the lock lever under the handle of the crank and put it into the shallow  groove, so that the locking state can be unlocked. Turn thecrank handle to the right and the groove is shallow, turning to the left, and the  grooving depth increases. If the lock rod is placed in the deep groove, the depth of the grooving is locked.

2. Starting
   2-1 Turn on the fuel valve and turn the switch to the side that has the operating mark.
   2-2 Close the choke valve of the gasifier, and put the adjust lever in the half-open position. Lifting the choke handle to the upper part, the choke valve will be closed. Please close the choke valve in winter. In cases where you can’t start successfully, if you keep the choke valve closed, you will inhale too much fuel, so put it in a semi-closed state.
   2-3 Use the recoil starter
   Slowly pull the starter until you feel the drag (compression point) increases, then pull out a little bit until the resistance becomes smaller, then return the handle to its original position and jerk it out. Please do not pull the rope to the end. Do not let your hand leave the pulled-out handle; please slowly return the handle to the original position.
   2-4 After the engine starts, when you can hear the machine running, open the damper to the full open position. After starting, the engine must be operated at a low speed for about 5 minutes, especially during the winter. Please note whether the engine has air leakage or abnormal sound.

3. Operation
   3-1 Aiming the crack indicator at the crack in the road, this can be easily adjusted by turning the crank handle.
   3-2 Drive the engine to the maximum speed by adjusting the speed regulating handle, and turn the engine speed to high speed.
   3-3 Turn the crank handle, adjust the blade to the desired groove depth, and lock the locking lever under the handle of the crank handle.
   3-4 Drag equipment handle along the road surface crack, and conducting the slot operation.

4. Stopping
   4-1 At the end of the work, before the engine stops, adjust the speed adjustment knob to the idle state for 3 – 5 minutes.
   When the engine temperature decreased, turn off the starting switch.
   If the engine is shut down at high temperature, the oil film inside the cylinder will be burned, and the engine will suffer early wear and tear.
   4-2 Close fuel valve

5. Repair and maintenance
   5-1 After work, wipe away the dirt caused by dust, especially the blade assembly part of the blade shaft, which should be added with a certain amount of grease after cleaning. In addition, tighten the loose fitting part. The engine must be  turned off while the host is on spot check
   5-2 When not in use for a long time, place the equipment in a cool, damp-free and dusty-free place, and cover it with a cover.
