The Medical Ultrasonic Cleaner is manufactured by NINGBO HAISHU YESON MEDICAL DEVICE CO., LTD. This equipment is designed for cleaning small amounts of pollution, radioactivity instruments required high cleanliness, like surgical metal instruments, glassware, and other medical instruments. It is necessary equipment in clinics, hospital departments, laboratories, disinfection centers, and other occasions.

User Guide

General Introduction

Application: This series of medical ultrasonic cleaner is specially designed and manufactured for cleaning of small amount of pollution, radioactivity instruments required high cleanliness, like surgical metal instruments, glassware and other medical instruments. This machine is the necessary equipment in clinics, hospital departments, laboratories, disinfection centers and other occasions.
( Note: This machine only has the cleaning function, it doesn’t have disinfection andsterilization functions. )

Working principle: The ultrasonic cleaner works by creating high- frequency sound waves that produce microscopic bubbles in the cleaning solution. These bubbles implode and dislodge any dirt or contaminants on the surface of the items being cleaned.
The electrical signal generated by the ultrasonic generator is converted into high-frequency mechanical vibration by the transducer, and emit ultrasonic wave in the cleaning solution. Tens of thousands of small bubbles are generated and “burst” . These bubbles form and grow circularly in the negative pressure area, and close rapidly in the positive pressure area, that is, burst instantly. High pressure bombardment is formed on the surface, crevice and cavity of the cleaning objects, therefore to achieve the purpose of cleaning and purifying.

Working Condition Requirements

The equipment should be evaluated for the electromagnetic environment before using it. It is forbidden to use the equipment near a strong radiation source (such as an unshielded RF source), otherwise, it may interfere with the normal operation of the equipment.

• Relative humidity： 35%～85%;
• Atmospheric pressure： 70kPa～106kPa
• Please DO NOT use the machine in the following environments:
  • The place where the temperature changes extremely.
  • The place where temperature is too high or there are water drops.
  • The place where vibration or shock is very strong.
  • The place where there is corrosive gas or dust.
  • The place where there are splashes of water, oil and chemical products.

Safety Precautions

Please read the safety warnings and precautions provided in the manual to ensure that you use the machine safely and effectively.

• If you ignore the following safety precautions, electric shock, fire or damage to the ultrasonic cleaner might be caused.
• Please use an independent AC220V / 10A three-hole power socket with protective grounding and ensure that the protective grounding terminal has been well connected.
• If the ultrasonic cleaner is not used for a long time, the machine should be turned off and the power cord should be unplugged.
• Do not plug in or out the power cord with wet hands.
• Do not damage, pull over, bend or twist the power cord, and do not place heavy objects on the power cord.
• Please do not place the ultrasonic cleaner on the unstable working table, such as shaking table, inclined plane or vibrating position.
• Please do not block or cover the vent or cooling window of the ultrasonic cleaner.
• Please don’t use the machine unattended.
• If you find peculiar smell or abnormal noise during its working, please cut off the power immediately, then contact the local dealer or our after-sales
• If you find that the cleaner can’t work normally and leak, please stop using and contact the local dealer or our after-sales service department.
• Do not shower the ultrasonic cleaner with water to avoid electric shock. Use a dry soft cloth to wipe it off.

Installation

Parts List

After receiving the machine, the user should open the packing box and check the parts according to the following table. If any parts are missing, please contact the dealer or manufacturer.

Installation Conditions Requirements

The equipment should be installed in an environment that meets the following conditions:

• The equipment should be placed on a stable surface.
• The equipment should be installed in a dry and ventilated place.
• The equipment should be installed away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• The equipment should be installed away from strong electromagnetic interference sources.

In order to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the ultrasonic cleaner, please check whether it meets the following requirements. If it does not meet the requirements, it shall be rectified first and then installed.

• Power requirements : AC220-240V 50/60Hz,The machine should ground reliably.
• Environment requirements：The ultrasonic cleaner is required to be installed in a clean, dry room with small temperature difference. The requirements of temperature, humidity and ambient atmospheric pressure, please refer to section 5.0.
• It is recommended to evaluate the electromagnetic environment before using the equipment. It is forbidden to use the equipment near strong radiation source (such as unshielded RF source), otherwise it may interfere with the normal operation of the equipment.

Operation

**Introduction of interface:

The interface of the ultrasonic cleaner includes an LED display, status light, time, function, and heater on/off button.

How to set work time

The default time is 5min. Click the key “Time”, work time can be set circularly 5-10-15-20-25-30 min. Press the key“ ▼”can adjust the time: press it once to minus 1 min from the setted time.

Operation instructions

Before operation, please check whether the power meets the requirement AC220/240V,50/60Hz,the socket is reliably grounded.

Usage Instructions:

1. Fill the cleaning tank with water and add an appropriate amount of cleaning solution.
2. Place the items to be cleaned in the cleaning basket and put the basket in the cleaning tank.
3. Turn on the power and set the desired cleaning time and temperature using the interface.
4. Press the start button to begin the cleaning cycle.
5. After the cleaning cycle is complete, turn off the power and remove the items from the cleaning basket.

Placement of instruments

Placement of large objects
The cleaning objects shall be evenly placed in the cleaning basket, the height of objects shall not exceed the cleaning basket.

• In order to ensure the cleaning effect, do not stack the cleaning objects when placing them.
• Placement of small items (items that may pass through the cleaning basket’ s mesh)

The small cleaning items should be placed in a container, like a beaker. Don’t put too much at a time. Add water to the container until the cleaning items are all soaked in the water.

Adding washing liquid.

Adding water
Add water into cleaning tank, be sure water level is between MIN and MAX marks.

Adding cleaning solution (if necessary)
In order to improve the cleaning effect, the user can add the cleaning solution according to the instructions. (The cleaning tank is made from stainless steel 304, and the pipeline is made from silica gel. Please ensure that the cleaning solution will not damage the equipment and cleaning objects.) Multi-enzyme detergent is generally recommended and replaced after about 6-8 hours of use. It is forbidden to use flammable, explosive, strong acid, strong alkali and other liquids as cleaning detergent.
The machine can’t be used without water. If the machine runs without water over 50s, the sonic transduer will be damaged seriously and service life will be reduced severely. If the heater works over 30s without water, it will be damaged completely.

Put the objects into the cleaning tank..

• For the large objects, place the cleaning basket into the tank, make sure the cleaning objects are all soaked into water completely.
• For the small objects, place the container into the cleaning take.Be sure water in cleaning tank is over the bottom of container.
• Plug in the power cord and turn the switch on, LED display will be on.The status light will be green.( if the light turns red,it means the machine is overheated, please break for 15 minutes till it turns green again.)
• Set the working time according to instructions 8.2.
• Double-press the key “heater”, the machine will start to heat water. The heating indicator on LED display will flash. Double-press the key “heater” again for pause and the indicator will turn off. (When water temperature reaches 60℃,the heater will shut off automatically.)
• Start cleaning
• Cleaning by water, double press the key “ON/OFF ”to start cleaning. The machine will sizzle at work, the sound will reduce greatly if top cover is closed.
• Cleaning by solution, degassing is recommended before cleaning. Press the key “FUNCTION” ,then press “ON/OFF”, the machine will start degassing, which will last 2 minutes. After degassing complete, the machine will start cleaning automatically.

(Why degassing is needed:

• * When cleaning heavily soiled items, it is necessary to add chemical cleaning solution into the water. Since the cleaning solution dissolves slowly in water at room temperature, many bulk droplets will generate, and the newly added water will have many small bubbles attached on the tank walls, these factors can impair the cleaning effect. PEAB can break the air bubbles and improve the cleaning efficiency.)

• The LED display shows the countdown of working time, cleaning is complete when it shows 00：00. If pause,double-press the key “ON/OFF”. (When it runs continuous-ly and status light turns red, it means the machine is overheated. The sonic transducer will shut off even though the machine is still on. After 20-minute break till status light turns green, the machine will restart. )
• This machine is equipped with overheating protection circuit. It is recommended to break for 20 minutes to extend the service life of the machine after 45- minute work continuously.

Taking out the objects after cleaning
When cleaning complete, turn off the machine firstly.

Taking out of the big objects
Take out the basket directly. It is recommended to pad a piece of absorbent cotton cloth beside the ultrasonic cleaner. The washing basket can be put on this cotton cloth.

Taking out small cleaning items (Items that may pass through the mesh of the cleaning basket)
Pour out the water in the containers, then take the clear items out.

• When take out the cleaning basket, avoiding to contaminate again, don’t touch the instruments by hand directly.

Drainage.
Pour the dirty water out directly. Then wipe the cleaning tank and machine body by dry towel.

Emergency treatment
In case of emergency, it shall be handled as follows:

• Turn off the power switch;
• Unplug the power socket.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any problems while using the ultrasonic cleaner, please refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual or contact the dealer or manufacturer for assistance. According to the treatment methods in the following list, if the faults cannot be solved,please contact the local dealer or our after-sales service department.

Faults and treatment methods

• During maintenance, please turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord.
• Equipment maintenance should be carried out in sufficient light environment, and the light intensity should not be less than 100lx;
• The consumables and accessories to be replaced shall be provided by the manufacturer, otherwise it may cause unpredictable problems;
• The maintenance of the equipment must be carried out by the manufacturer or the personnel appointed by the manufacturer.

Transportation and Storage

The equipment should be transported and stored in a dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong electromagnetic interference sources. When transporting the equipment, it should be properly packaged to prevent damage.

Transportation

• Turn off the power switch. Pull out the plug and let the ultrasonic cleaner cool down.
• Empty the tank.(Pour water out directly.)
• When transporting, the machine should be laid flat, the tilt should not exceed 30 degrees,and it should not be crashed.

Storage condition
The packed ultrasonic cleaner should be stored in a clean room with an ambient temperature of 5 ℃～ 40 ℃, a relative humidity of no more than 80%, no corrosive gas and good ventilation.

• The ultrasonic cleaner shall not be moved when the tank is full of cleaning liquid (water).

Warranty

• The quality gurantee peroid is five years and Warranty period is one year. For one year from the date of purchase, our company will provide free maintenance service for any failure or damage caused by the correct installation and operation according to the instruction of the user manual. The ultrasonic cleaner comes with a 5-year warranty. Please refer to the warranty section in the manual for details.
• The following situations are not covered by the warranty
• Failure or damage caused by improper installation and use;
• Failure or damage caused by accidental fall or collision;
• Failure or damage caused by self -installation and self-maintenance;
• Failure to show purchase proof or warranty card;
• Damage due to abnormal voltage, fire and other external reasons

For the above situations that are not covered in warranty or exceed the warranty period, our company will still provide paid maintenance service charge for the spare parts and labour.

Scrap Disposal

Please dispose of the equipment in accordance with local regulations and laws. Do not dispose of the equipment with regular household waste. The service life of the equipment is 5 years, and it should be scrapped after reaching the service life. This equipment contains electronic components, which should not be treated together with household waste when it is discarded. It should be implemented in accordance with the measures for the prevention and control of environmental pollution about electronic waste.
