-
Remove the screw socket 1 (= strain relief) before mounting.
-
Feed the cable through the screw socket in the specified direction and remove the outer sheath 2 of the cable over a length of approx. 20-25 mm. Fold back the braid (and if necessary, the drain wire)
-
For S/FTP cables, remove the foil shield 3 which surrounds each wire pair. If there is a yarn strength member 4 in the middle of the cable, remove it.
-
Disentangle the wire pairs. Make sure it remains clear which wires belong together as a pair, so the wires can be connected correctly later (the connector block 5 is marked with the colors for TIA/EIA T568A and B). Insert the wires in the corresponding recesses 6 of the connector block. Cut the protruding ends of the wires 7 with a suitable tool.
-
Press the prepared connector block 5 into the actual plug housing 8 until it stops. This can only be done in one position; you cannot slide the block incorrectly into the plug housing.
-
Close the plug housing (if necessary, with the help of suitable pliers) and screw the screw socket / strain relief 1 to the plug housing.
