You may need to change your filter more or less often than 6 months/120 gallons (454 L), depending on the amount and quality of the water you consume. For water with high levels of sediment, sand and/or rust, the Brita® Elite™ filter may need to be changed more frequently to maintain the flow rate.
-
We recommend that you keep your Brita® system out of direct sunlight and replace any filtered water that’s been left sitting for several days or more.
-
For best results when filling pitcher reservoir, pour tap water on the side of the reservoir rather than directly on top of the filter.
-
The filter change indicator measures water usage by counting the number of reservoir fills. The indicator measures water usage when the lid is opened for 8–10 seconds. Always fill to max fill line to ensure accuracy and close the lid after each reservoir fill.
-
Pitcher works with all Brita® system filters except Stream.
