Safety information
· Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that
came with the package.
· To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or
moisture.
· Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside
the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
· If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a
qualified service technician or your retailer.
· Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and
the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your
dealer immediately.
· Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for
ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a
radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
· The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated
on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home,
consult your dealer or local power company.
· Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power
standard.
· Do not overload power strips and extention cords. Overloading can result in
fire or electric shock.
· Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in
any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
· Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a
long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power
surges.
· Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor
cabinet.
· To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed
computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between
100-240V AC.
· If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified
service technician or your retailer.
· Adjustment of the volume control as well as the equalizer to other settings
than the center position may increase the ear-/headphones output voltage and
therefore the sound pressure level.
· The adapter is only used for this monitor, do not use it for other purpose.
· Your device uses one of the following power supplies:

Care & Cleaning
· Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the
cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning
the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the
monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
· Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor
surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed
with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
· Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended
for use with the monitor. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it
may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor: · The screen may flicker
during the initial use due to the nature of the
fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure
that the flicker disappears. · You may find slightly uneven brightness on the
screen depending on the desktop pattern you use. · When the same image is
displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after
switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the
Power Switch for hours. · When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot
work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair
the screen by yourself!

1.3.1 Front view

· Turns on the OSD menu. Enacts the selected OSD menu item.
· Increases/Decreases values or moves your selection up/down/ left/right.
· Displays the input selection bar when the monitor enters standby mode or displays the “NO SIGNAL” message.

· Toggles the Key Lock function between on and off with a long press for
5 seconds.
Shortcut 1 button:
· Default: GamePlus.
· To change the shortcut function, go to the MyFavorite > Shortcut >
Shortcut 1 menu.

· Default: GameVisual.

1. Earphone jack. This port is only available when an HDMI/
DisplayPort/Type-C cable is connected.
2. HDMI port. This port is for connection with an HDMI compatible device. 3.
DisplayPort. This port is for connection for a DisplayPort compatible
device. 4. USB Type C. This port is for connection with a USB upstream cable.
The connection supports USB power and data delivery.
· This monitor is Super-Speed USB compatible (5Gbps). The port offers max. 15W
power delivery with output voltage 5V/3A. Connecting the USB type-C cable can
input the DisplayPort source, output power and enable the USB Type-A ports
(downstream) on the monitor. Connecting the USB Type-C to Type-A cable only
enables the USB Type-A ports (downstream) on the monitor.
5. USB Type-B. This port is for connection with a USB upstream cable. The
connection enables the USB ports on the monitor.
6. USB Type-A. These ports are for connection with USB devices, such as USB
keyboard/mouse, USB flash drive, etc and for firmware upgrade.
7. DCIN port. This port connects the power adapter. 8. Kensington lock slot.
9. Control buttons.

Product Introduction
1.3.3 GamePlus Function
The GamePlus function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming
environment for users when playing different types of games. The crosshair
overlay with 6 different crosshair options letting you choose the one that
best suits the game you’re playing. There’s also an onscreen timer you can
position on the left of the display so you can keep track of the elapsed
gaming time; while the FPS (frames per second) counter lets you know how
smooth the game is running. Display Alignment displays alignment lines on 4
sides of the screen, serving as an easy and handy tool for you to line up
multiple monitors perfectly. Sniper function (only available when HDR is
disabled on your device) is customized for firstperson shooters. You can
select the magnification ratio and the type of alignment in sequence.
To active GamePlus:
1. Press the GamePlus hotkey.
2. Move the ( ) button up/down to select among different functions.
3. Press the ( ) button or move the ( ) button right to confirm
the function you choose, and move the ( ) button up/down to navigate through the settings. Move the ( ) button left to go back,
off, and exit.
4. Highlight the desired setting and press the Press the button to inactivate it.
( ) button to activate it.

1.3.4 GameVisual Function
The GameVisual function helps you select among different picture modes in a
convenient way.
To active GameVisual:
Press the GameVisual hotkey repeatedly to select.
· Scenery mode: This is the best choice for scenery photo displaying with
GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
· Racing Mode: This is the best choice for racing game playing with
GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
· Cinema Mode: This is the best choice for movie watching with GameVisualTM
Video intelligence Technology.
· RTS/RPG Mode: This is the best choice for Real-Time Strategy (RTS)/Role-
Playing Game (RPG) playing with GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
· FPS Mode: This is the best choice for First Person Shooter game playing with
GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
· sRGB Mode: This is the best choice for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
· MOBA Mode: This is the best choice for multiplayer online battle arena game
playing with GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
· In the Racing mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable:
Saturation, Skin Tone, ASCR.
· In the sRGB mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable:
Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Color Temp., Skin Tone, ASCR.
· In the MOBA mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable:
Saturation, Skin Tone, ASCR.

2.1 Assembling the monitor arm/base
To assemble the monitor base:
1. Have the front of the monitor face down on a table. 2. Attach the base
into the arm, making sure the tab on the arm fits into
the groove on the base. 3. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled
screw(s).
We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent damage to the monitor.

2.2 Adjusting the monitor
· For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the
monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for
you.
· Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its
angle.
· The recommended adjusting angle is -5° to 20°.

· It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing angle.
2.3 Detaching the arm (for VESA wall mount)
The detachable arm/base of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall
mount. To detach the arm/base:
1. Have the front of the monitor face down on a table. 2. Remove the rubbers
in the four screw holes. (Figure 1) 3. Remove the base. (Figure 2) 4. Use a
screwdriver to remove the screw on the hinge (Figure 3), then
remove the hinge.

Chapter 2: Setup
· We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent
damage to the monitor.
· The VESA wall mount kit (100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately. · Use only
the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load
22.7kg (Screw size: M4 x 8 mm).
2.4 Cable management
You can organize the cables using the cable managment slot. Remove the cover
before putting the cables through the slot and attach the cover back on.
2.5 Connecting the cables
Connect the cables as the following instructions:
· To use the earphone: Connect the end with plug type to the monitor’s earphone jack when an HDMI/DisplayPort/Type-C signal is fed.

· To connect the HDMI/DisplayPort/USB Type-C cable: a. Plug one end of the
HDMI/DisplayPort/USB type-C cable to the monitor’s HDMI/DisplayPort/USB
type-C jack. b. Connect the other end of the HDMI/DisplayPort/USB type-C*
cable to your device’s HDMI/DisplayPort/USB type-C jack.
· It is suggested to use USB cerified Type-C cable. If the signal source
supports DP Alt mode, all video, audio and data signal can be transmitted.
· To use the USB 3.0 type-A/B ports: Take the supplied USB 3.0 cable, and plug
the smaller end (type-B) of the USB upstream cable to the monitor’s USB
upstream port, and the larger end (type-A) to your computer’s USB 3.0 port.
Make sure your computer is installed with the lastest Windows 8.1/Windows 10/
Windows 11 operating system. That will enable the USB ports on the monitor to
work.
· When these cables are connected, you can choose the desired signal from the
Input Select item in the OSD menu.
· To connect the power cord: a. Connect the power adapter securely to the
monitor’s DC input. b. Connect one end of the power cord to the power adapter
and the other end to a power outlet.
2.6 Turning on the monitor
Press the power button . See page 1-2 for the location of the power button.
The power indicator lights up in white to show that the monitor is ON.

it. If the function selected has a sub-menu, move the ( ) button up/down again to navigate through the sub-menu functions. Highlight
the desired submenu function and press the the ( ) button right to activate it.

Over Clocking Variable OD Variable Refresh Rate ELMB/ELMB SYNC GamePlus GameVisual Shadow Boost
· Overclocking: ON: This function allows you to adjust the refresh rate.
Max Refresh Rate: Allows you to select a maximum refresh rate of 170Hz (Only
for DisplayPort input). After selecting, press the ( ) button to activate the
setting.
· Overclocking may cause screen flickering. To reduce such effects, disconnect
the DisplayPort cable and use the monitor OSD menu to try again with a safer
Max. Refresh rate.
· Variable OD: Speeds up the response time by Over Drive technology. Including
Level 0~Level 5.
· Variable Refresh Rate: Allows an Adaptive-Sync supported graphics source to
dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates
for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display update.
· Variable Refresh Rate can only be activated within 48Hz~144Hz for HDMI and
48Hz~170Hz for DisplayPort.
· For supported GPUs, minimum PC system and driver requirements, please
contact the GPU manufactures..
· ELMB/ELMB SYNC: Allows you to turn on the function when Variable Refresh
Rate is On. This function eliminates screen tearing, reduces ghosting and
motion blur when playing games.

· When Variable Refresh Rate is Off, this function can only be activated when
the refresh rate is 120Hz, 144Hz, 155Hz, 160Hz, 165Hz or 170Hz.
· GamePlus: See page 1-4 for details. · GameVisual: See page 1-5 for details.
· Shadow Boost: Dark color enhancement adjusts monitor
gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image, making dark scenes and
objects much easier to be seen.
· This function is only available in Racing mode, RTS/RPG mode, FPS mode, or
sRGB mode.

· Brightness: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
· This function is not available when ELMB/ELMB SYNC is enabled.
· Contrast: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100. · HDR: Contains two HDR
modes.
- ASUS Gaming HDR: Is the HDR mode that ASUS has specially adjusted for HDR performance.
- ASUS Cinema HDR: Complies with VESA Display HDR.
· When detecting HDR content, an “HDR ON” message will pop up. When displaying HDR content, the following function(s) are not available: ELMB Sync, ELMB, Sniper, GameVisual, Shadow Boost, Brightness, Contrast, ASCR, Aspect Control, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Gamma, and Saturation.
· VividPixel: Enhances the outline of the displayed picture and generates high-quality images on screen.
· ASCR: Turns on/off the ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio) function. · This function is only available under Scenery Mode, Cinema Mode, RTS/ RPG Mode or FPS Mode.
· Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to Full or 4:3.
· This function is not available when HDR is enabled.

General Instruction
· Blue Light Filter:
- Level 0: No change.
- Level 1~4: The higher the level, the less blue light is scattered. When Blue Light Filter is activated,the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported. Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable. Level 4 is optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.
Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains: · Users should take
some time away from the display if working for long
hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1
hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks
is more effective than a single longer break.
· To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye
periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.
· Eye exercises can help to reduces eye strain. Repeat these exercises often.
If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye exercises: (1)
Repeating look up and down (2) Slowly roll your eyes (3) Move your eyes
diagonal.
· High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular
Degeneration). Blue light Filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to
avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

Yellowish.
4. Input Select In this function, you can select your desired input source or
allow to automatically detect the input source.

· Shortcut 1/Shortcut 2: Sets the shortcut functions for shortcut buttons.
· When a certain function is selected or activated, your shortcut button may
not support. Available function choices for shortcut: GamePlus, GameVisual,
Brightness, Contrast, HDR, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., and Volume.
· Customized Setting: Loads/Saves all settings on the monitor.

· Language: Selects an available language for the OSD menu. The options
include English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish,
Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese,
Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Indonesian, and
Ukrainian.
· Sound: Volume: Adjusts the volume level from 0 to 100. Mute: If checked,
mutes the volume.
· USB Setup: Configure USB port settings. KVM: Switch USB3.0 downstream port
to USB-C or USB-B upstream port. USB Hub: On During Standby allows the USB
downstream ports to charge external devices when the monitor is turned on or
in standby mode. Off During Standby allows the USB downstream ports to charge
external devices only when the monitor is turned on.
· ECO Mode: Reduces power consumption.
· When this function is selected, the following function(s) are not available:
ASCR, Brightness, Contrast, and ELMB.
· Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off. · Power Key Lock:
Enables or disables the power key.

· Key Lock: To disable all function keys. Press seconds to cancel the key lock function.

3.4 Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Problem
Possible Solution
Power LED is not ON
· Press the ( ) button to check if the monitor is in the ON mode.
· Check if the power adapter is connected to the monitor and the power cord is
properly connected to the adapter and the power outlet.
· Check Power Indicator function in main menu OSD. Select ON to turn on power
LED.
The power LED lights amber and · Check if the monitor and the computer are in the ON

· Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the
pins are bent.
