Attach Battery Cover (Figure 1).
-
Insert 123A batteries with terminals oriented as shown in the engraved schematic on X300 body (Figure 2).
-
Close Battery Cover until compartment latch clicks and locks cover in place.
-
To replace batteries, depress latch to open Battery Cover.
-
Install fresh batteries and re-secure Battery Cover per Installation directions above.
-
(OPTIONAL) Using pliers, insert battery cover Retaining Pin through both holes in latch bracket, until pin locks in place and latch cannot be released (Figure 2).
CAUTION : Mixing a depleted battery with a new battery can cause damage to the weaponlight. Always use two fresh batteries when replacing old ones.
MOUNTING X300 TO WEAPON
X300 ships with the Universal (marked “U”) Crossmember installed. To attach X300 to a Universal accessory rail, skip ahead to Attaching X300 to Accessory Rail instructions. To attach X300 to a Picatinny rail, the Universal Crossmember must be replaced with the included Picatinny Crossmember (marked “P”). Proceed to INSTALLING / REPLACING THE CROSSMEMBER above.
INSTALLING / REPLACING THE CROSSMEMBER
-
Loosen Rail-Adjustment Bolt by turning counterclockwise until Crossmember is fully exposed (Figure 3).
-
Remove Crossmember by lifting it out; store in a for future use.
-
Place Crossmember into slot, ensuring that the Crossmember’s front edge is facing forward (toward bezel) and “wedge” is facing rearward.
-
Push Crossmember all the way forward and, while holding Crossmember in place, tighten Rail-Adjustment Bolt (Figure 4) by turning clockwise until movable Rail Guide overlaps Crossmember “wedge,” locking it securely in place.
ATTACHING TO HOST WEAPON RAIL
Note : The appropriate Crossmember MUST be installed (“U” for Universal rails; “P” for Picatinny rails) to attach X300 to a weapon’s accessory rail. Some pistols with a MIL-STD-1913 rail may require the “U” crossmember to properly interface with the location of the front trigger guard surface.
-
Adjust gap between stationary and movable Rail Guides by turning Rail-Adjustment Bolt clockwise or counterclockwise until gap is sufficiently wide to fit over weapon accessory rail (Figure 5).
-
Align Fixed Rail with weapon’s accessory rail and hinge X300 over the cross slot of host weapon
-
Mate Crossmember with corresponding slot in weapon’s accessory rail.
-
Using a torque wrench and a flat head bit, tighten to 8 in-lb onto a polymer pistol rail and to 8-9 in-lb on a metal pistol rail. If a torque wrench is not available, tighten until snug and then apply an additional 1/4 turn. Do NOT overtighten! The Rail Adjustment Bolt will break if excessive force is applied with a tool.
LIGHT OPERATION
For momentary-on light operation, press and hold either the right or left side
of tailcap toggle switch; release to turn light off (Figure 6).
For constant-on operation, rotate tailcap toggle switch up or down; rotate in
the opposite direction to turn light off (Figure 6).
