IP Specification IP68
Description
Allows your walt Smart Radio to withstand two meters of water for two hours,
and adverse field conditions such as water drops, snow, dirt, grease, or other
surface contaminants.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble your walt Smart Radio. This could damage the walt seals and result in leak paths into the walt. walt maintenance should only be done in a service center that is equipped to test and replace the seal on the device.
If your walt Smart Radio has been submerged in water, shake your walt well to remove any water that may be trapped inside the speaker grill or microphone port. Trapped water could cause decreased audio performance.
If your battery contact area has been exposed to water, clean and dry battery contacts on both your walt and the battery before plugging into a charging outlet or setting it in the wrangler mass charger. The residual water could short-circuit the walt.
If your walt has been submerged in a corrosive substance (for example,
saltwater), rinse walt in fresh water then dry with a towel.
To clean the exterior surfaces of your walt use a diluted solution of mild
dishwashing detergent and fresh potable water (for example, one teaspoon of
detergent to one gallon of water)
Your walt is designed to be submersible to a maximum depth of 2m and a maximum submersion time of 120 minutes. Exceeding the maximum limit may result in damage to your walt.
Only Underwriter Laboratory (UL) approved service centers can open and service UL-certified walt Smart Radios. Opening or repairing at unauthorized locations invalidates hazardous location ratings of the walt.
