TERRA EXTREME – TERAX
USER’S MANUAL
Battery Installation
1. Open the door at the bottom of the camera by pulling the latch.
2. Drop the battery tray by sliding the orange EJECT latch to the left.
3. Insert the batteries as shown below.
NOTE : Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc) batteries.
4. Load SD memory card (up to 32GB) into the SD card slot with the notch in first and the metal pins facing you.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the camera is powered off before removing or installing an SD card. If you are using an SD card from other cameras, please make sure to format the SD card in your computer prior to use in your camera. New cards are ok to use straight from the package.
5. No SD card message will appear after power up if the SD card is missing or corrupted.
Power
ON:
1. To turn the unit on, slide the power switch to a QSET or CUSTOM setting.
2. Check the battery level icon to ensure the batteries just installed contain the proper charge level. If so, you are ok to proceed with camera use.
OFF:
1. To turn the unit off, slide the power switch all the way up.
Quick Sets
Slide the power switch to the desired Quick Set.
Once selected, the screen will display a count down from 9 to 0 seconds. When countdown has been completed, camera is ready and in an active state.
DATE / TIME
DATE:
1. To change date and time, start by pressing MENU, and then ENTER to set the
DAY.
2. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the Day. Press ENTER to advance to the
MONTH.
3. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the MONTH. Press ENTER to advance to the
YEAR.
4. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the YEAR. Press ENTER to confirm.
TIME:
1. To set the time, use the arrow buttons until HOUR MIN is on the screen. Then press ENTER to set the HOUR.
2. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the HOUR. Press ENTER to advance to the
MIN.
3. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the MIN. Press ENTER to advance to the AM
/ PM.
4. Use the arrow buttons to adjust AM / PM. Press ENTER to confirm.
CUSTOM Settings
1. The power switch must be set to CUSTOM to edit the settings.
2. To switch between PHOTO and VIDEO, start by pressing MENU. Use the arrow
buttons until MODE appears on screen. Press ENTER.
3. The current setting will appear flashing. Use the arrow buttons to switch between PHOTO and VIDEO. Press ENTER to confirm.

Photo Settings
PHOTO BURST:
1. Press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until BURST appears on screen. Press ENTER.
2. Use the arrow buttons to switch from 1-3 Photos per trigger.
DELAY:
1. Press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until DELAY appears on screen. Press ENTER.
2. Use the arrow buttons to choose from 5, 10, ‘ 15, 30, or 60 second delay between photos.
RESOLUTION:
1. Press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until RES appears on screen. Press ENTER.
2. Use the arrow buttons to choose from 4, 8, or 16MP photos resolution.
Video Settings
VIDEO LENGTH:
1. Press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until BURST appears on screen. Press ENTER. 2. Use the arrow buttons to choose from 5, 10, or 20 sec videos.
VIDEO DELAY:
1. Press MENU. Use the arrow buttons until DELAY appears on screen. Press ENTER. 2. Use the arrow buttons to choose from 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 second delay between videos.
Ready Mode
1. After 30 seconds without any buttons being pushed, the LCD will turn off
and the camera enters Ready Mode.
2. The LCD screen can be awakened by pressing any button.
NOTE : The LCD will not “wake up” when the camera is writing to memory.
Test Mode
LED Status Light: During the first 3 minutes of Ready Mode, the red light will illuminate when the camera detects movement. After 3 minutes, all indicator lights will turn off until a button is pressed.
Mounting
When mounting to a tree, first remove the clip from one end of the strap so you can slide the strap through the slots located on the back of the camera. Once the camera is attached, place the clip back on to the strap. Then, wrap the strap around the tree and clip the two ends together. Pull the excess material so that the camera is strapped tightly to the tree.
IMPORTANT TIPS:
- Recommended distance from target area is 25-30 feet for optimal imaging quality.
- To improve the quality of your images, try not to mount the unit facing the rising or the setting sun in order to avoid direct sunlight into the camera lens.
- If mounting to a feeder unit or dusty environment, be sure to clean the camera lens cover, incandescent flash cover, and the PIR sensor cover on a regular basis.
- Periodically check the mounting of the camera to ensure it is not loose.
- Make sure that you securely latch the door closed every time you use the camera, as the moisture seal will not be activated unless closed properly.
- Check batteries frequently to ensure no corrosive build-up, as this may cause harm to the camera.
Retrieving Images (SD Card Reader)
1. First, remove the SD Card from the camera by pressing on it until it
automatically ejects.
2. Next, insert the SD card into your SD card reader. Please refer to your
card reader’s owner’s manual for the proper way of viewing the files.
You can also use the WGI SD Card Reader for Apple or Android to access and
upload your photos to the cloud using the WGI Huntsmart app on your mobile
device.
Format SD Card
Having trouble with your SD card? Try this.
To format your SD card using your camera
Press and hold the MENU button while in CUSTOM Quick Set. ERASE will be
visible in the upper corner of the screen. Press ENTER, than either ARROW key
until a blinking Y appears on screen. Once the camera has formated the card,
the screen will display the default n.
WARNING: formatting your SD card will delete all files placed on it.
SDXC CARDS ARE NOT SUPPORTED
To format your SD card using your computer
1. Connect the SD card to your computer. If your computer has an SD card slot you can insert the SD card directly into the port.
NOTE: If you are using a MicroSD card, you will need an adapter to allow it to fit into standard SD card ports.
If your computer does not have an SD card port built-in, you can use an external USB card reader that plugs into any USB port on your computer.
2. Open (Windows) File Explorer by pressing Win + E on simultaneously your keyboard.
3. Right-click the drive letter associated with your memory device, then select “Format.”
4. Ensure FAT32 is selected under “File System.”
5. Ensure “Quick Format” is checked.
6. Click “Start.”
Limited Warranty
Your Wildgame Innovations scouting camera is covered by a 365 Day Limited Warranty on parts and labor from the date of original purchase, and purchases must be made through an authorized dealer. The warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty does not apply to units, which have been damaged or abused intentionally or unintentionally. A purchase from individuals or unauthorized Internet sites such as eBay voids the warranty.
This camera must be registered with Wildgame Innovations via web, email, or
customer service phone support, and accompanied with a receipt from the point
of purchase, for any Factory Reset options to be available.
Tampering with or altering the unit will void the warranty. Any unauthorized
service will void warranty. A copy of your original sales receipt must be
produced for any warranty service and a Return Authorization (RA) number must
be obtained from customer service at
