INTERMATIC K121 Locking Type Receptacle
Product Information: K121/K122 AM Series Twistlock Receptacles
The K121/K122 AM Series Twistlock Receptacles are electrical outlets designed for use with Intermatic controls. These receptacles are manufactured by Intermatic Incorporated, located in Libertyville, Illinois. The receptacles are designed to be installed in a safe location where artificial light cannot fall on the cell causing interference. The receptacle must be connected to a power source with the same voltage as indicated on the label of the control.
Product Usage Instructions
- Turn off the power.
- Locate the receptacle in a safe location where artificial light cannot interfere.
- Connect the wires – connect the black wire to the black cable, the white wire to the white cable, and the red wire (other hot line) to the red cable of the power source.
- Ensure that the voltage to the receptacle matches the voltage indicated on the label of the control.
- Insert the control into the receptacle.
- Turn on the power.
Safety Information
Before installing or using the K121/K122 AM Series Twistlock Receptacles, you must read and understand all safety information provided in the user manual. Ensure that the power is turned off before installation. Always follow local electrical codes and regulations. The line voltage to the receptacle must be the same as indicated on the label of the control. If you have any concerns or questions, contact a qualified electrician.
Limited Warranty
The K121/K122 AM Series Twistlock Receptacles come with a limited warranty. To obtain warranty service, you can either return the product to the dealer from whom the unit was purchased or complete a warranty claim online at www.intermatic.com. The warranty is provided by Intermatic Incorporated, Customer Service located in Libertyville, Illinois.

WARNING
Risk of Fire or Electric Shock
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker(s) or disconnect switch(es) before installing or servicing.
- Installation and/or wiring must be in accordance with national and local electrical code requirements.
- Use COPPER conductors ONLY.
- The line voltage to the receptacle must be the same as the voltage indicated on the label of the control.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION
- Turn power OFF.
- Locate the receptacle where artificial light cannot fall on the cell causing it to turn off at night or to cycle (turn on and off). If possible, orient the receptacle so that the arrow points north.
- Wiring procedure
- Connect the black wire (hot line) of the power source to the black wire of the receptacle.
- Connect all fixture black wires to the red wire of the receptacle.
- 120 V, 277 V: Connect all fixture white wires and the receptacle white wire to the neutral wire of the power source.
- 208 V, 240 V, 480 V: Connect all fixture white wires and the receptacle white wire to the red wire (other hot line) of the power source.
- CAUTION: The line voltage to the receptacle must be the same as the voltage indicated on the label of the control.
- Insert the control into the receptacle.
- Turn power ON.
