QLock QL5000 Quantum Digital Lock Proximity

Product Information

The product is an electronic lock that has a user capacity of 1024, including the management card. The lock uses Mifare S50 cards for programming and user enrolment. The lock has a reset button on the back for resetting it to factory mode.

Product Usage Instructions

Programming Card Setup

Before using the lock, the programming card needs to be set up.

1. Swipe the provided blank Mifare S50 card or any blank Mifare S50 card once in factory mode to get a green light with 1 beepfollowed by 3 short beeps. The light will then turn off, indicating that the management card has been successfully set up.

User Card Enrolment

To enrol user cards, follow the steps below:

1. Swipe the management card once to see a green light and hear 1 beep.
2. Before the green light goes off, swipe any blank card to enrol a user card. Swipe more cards to enrol more user cards.
3. If 2 short beeps are heard after swiping a card, it means that the card is already enrolled or the user capacity is full.

User Card Deletion

To delete user cards, follow the steps below:

1. Swipe the management card twice to see a green light followed by a red light.
2. Before the red light goes off, swipe the user card to be cancelled to get 1 beep. The card is now deleted. Swipe more user cards for more cancellation.
3. To delete all user cards, swipe the management card three times
   to see a green light followed by a red light, then green and redlights flashing at the same time. Once the flashes go off, all user cards are deleted.

Resetting the Lock

To reset the lock to factory mode:

1. Press the reset button on the back of the lock front to hear melody sounds twice. The lock is now in factory mode.
2. Alternatively, swipe the management card 3 times to see green and red lights flash at the same time. Continue to swipe the management card 3 more times to see green and red lights flash again. When the flashes go off, 1 long beep is heard, indicating that the lock is now in factory mode.

Product Passage Mode

The lock has a passage mode that allows free access through the lock without needing to swipe a card.

1. To enter passage mode, swipe any valid user card to unlock and leave the card on the lock for 5 seconds. The green light will turn on, and you will hear 10 beeps. The light will then turn off, indicating that the lock has entered passage mode.
2. To cancel passage mode, swipe any valid user card again to hear a motor sound and see a red light. When the red light goes off, thelock is back to standard mode.

Programming Card

Programming Card- only 1 card:

1. Management Card – This is not an Unlocking card.
   • Enrol User
   • Delete User
   • Re-set Lock to factory mode

Set up Programming card: (1 card provided for Management Card purpose)

1. Set up Management Card: In factory mode, swipe the provided Blank Mifare S50 card or any Blank Mifare S50 card Once to get “Green Light” with 1 “Beep” followed by 3 short “Beeps” and light is off- the Management Card is successfully setup.

Enrol User cards

1. Enrol user card: Swipe Management Card Once to see “Green light” and hear 1 “beep”, before the Green light goes off swipe any blank card to get 1 “beep”, swipe more cards to issue more user cards.
2. During user card enrolment if 2 short “beeps” is heard after swiping a card, it means that card is already enrolled, or user capacity is full.

Delete User cards

1. Delete user card: Swipe Management Card Twice to see “Green light” then “Red Light”, before the Red light goes off swipe the user card to be cancelled to get 1 “beep”, the card is now deleted. Swipe more user cards for more cancellation.
2. Delete All user cards: Swipe Management Card Three times to see “Green light”, then “Red Light”, followed by “Green light and Red light” flashing at the same time. Once the flashes go off all user cards are deleted.

Reset the lock to Factory mode

1. Reset Button: Press the Reset button on the back of Lock Front to hear “Melody sounds” Twice, the lock is now in Factory mode.
2. Reset lock with Management Card: Swipe Management Card 3 times to see Green light and Red light flash at the same time, continue to swipe the Management Card 3 more times to see Green light  and Red light flash again, when the flashes go off 1 long beep is heard, the lock is now in Factory mode.

Passage Mode

1. Enter Passage Mode: Swipe any valid user card to unlock and leave the card on the lock for 5 seconds, the Green light is on and you will hear 10 beeps then light goes off to entre into passage mode.
2. Cancel Passage Mode: Swipe any valid user card again to hear motor sound and see Red light. When Red light goes off the lock is back to standard mode.
