Product Information
The ASUS Chromebox 5 is a compact desktop computer designed for use with a display panel. It comes with an AC power adapter, technical documentation, and a warranty card. The device features air vents for optimal heat dissipation and air ventilation, an 8-pin RJ-45 LAN port for connection to a local network, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for high-speed data transfer, an HDMI port for the high-definition multimedia interface, and a DisplayPort for connecting to an external display. The HDMI port is HDCP compliant for HD DVD, Blu-ray, and other protected content playback.

Getting started
- Connect the power adapter and cord
- Connect a display panel to your Chromebox by connecting a display cable either to one of the two the HDMI ports or the DisplayPort.
- Connect the wired keyboard and mouse
- Turn on your system
Product Usage Instructions
- Connect the AC power adapter to the ASUS Chromebox 5.
- Connect a display panel to the Chromebox by connecting a display cable either to one of the two HDMI ports or the DisplayPort.
- Ensure that the air vents on the rear of the Chromebox are free from obstructions for optimal heat dissipation and air ventilation.
- Connect the 8-pin RJ-45 LAN port to a standard Ethernet cable for connection to a local network.
- Use the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for high-speed data transfer with a transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s.
- Use the HDMI port for a high-definition multimedia interface and HDCP-compliant playback of HD DVD, Blu-ray, and other protected content.
- Use the DisplayPort for connecting to an external display with a resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 @60Hz. Note that the resolution may also be affected by the cabling and output device.

Headphone/Headset/Microphone jack
This port allows you to connect amplified speakers or headphones. You can also use this port to connect your headset or an external microphone. -
USB 3.2 Gen 2 port
The USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Universal Serial Bus) port provides a transfer rate up to 10 Gbit/s and features Battery Charging 1.2 technology that allows you to charge your USB devices. -
Memory card slot
The built-in memory card reader enables your Chromebox to read and write data to and from Micro SD cards. -
Power button
The power button allows you to turn the Chromebox on or off. You can use the power button to put your Chromebox to sleep mode or press it for four (4) seconds to force the shutdown your Chromebox.
Rear view -
Air vents
The air vents on the rear allow warm air to exit the Chromebox chassis. -
LAN port
The 8-pin RJ-45 LAN port supports a standard Ethernet cable for connection to a local network. -
HDMI port
This port is for the HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connector and is HDCP compliant for HD DVD, Blu-ray, and other protected content playback. -
DisplayPort
This port allows you to connect your Chromebox to an external display. -
Power input
The supplied power adapter converts AC power to DC power for use with this jack. Power supplied through this jack supplies power to the Chromebox. To prevent damage to the Chromebox, always use the supplied power adapter. -
Thunderbolt™ 4 with Power Delivery input port
This Thunderbolt™ 4 port provides the following:-
Transfer rate of up to 40 Gbit/s for Thunderbolt™ 4 devices.

DisplayPort 1.4 support (3840 x 2160 @60Hz).

Backward compatible to USB 3.2.

USB power delivery with a maximum of 5 V / 3 A output.

Support for power (DC) input when connected to an external device that is PD (Power Delivery) compliant with a 20 V / 5 A output.
CAUTION! -
To reduce potential safety issues, only the AC adapter provided with the product, a replacement AC adapter provided by agency, or an AC adapter purchased as an accessory from agency should be used with the product.

Always disconnect the charging cable from the power (DC) input port before using the Thunderbolt™ 4 port for power input.

Make sure to power off your device when switching between the Thunderbolt™ 4 and power input ports.

Qi wireless charging zone (on selected models)
This charging zone allows you to charge devices that support Qi 1.3.2 wireless charging technology without the need for cables.
NOTE:- Wireless charger output: Max. 15 W (12 Vdc / 1.25 A)
- The actual charging power varies depending on your Qi-compatible devices.
- We recommend that you remove thick cases from Qi-compatible mobile devices before placing them on your Chromebox.
- Align the wireless charging zone on the Qi-compatible mobile device with that of your Chromebox to ensure that it charges efficiently and effectively.
