Product Information

The VME01SPD Surge Protection Kit includes a Busbar, a 16mm sq earth cable, and a Type I+II Surge Protection Device ZD0923. The kit is designed to protect against electrical surges and spikes in power supply systems.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Move the main switch over 2 modules to make space for the surge protection device.
2. Clip the Surge protection device on the right-hand side of the main switch.
3. Fit the 16mm earth cable into one of the terminals in the top of the SPD and terminate it in the earth bar. Torque it to 3.6Nm.
4. Loosen the bottom terminals on the Main switch and Surge protection device.
5. Insert the busbar into the rectangle slots above the cage terminals.
6. Push the busbar firmly against the Surge protection device making sure the cables below are secure and torque back to 3.6Nm.
7. For replacement cartridges SPA090 (L – N) and SPA090N, follow the instructions below:
   • Remove the red replace cartridge.
   • Insert the new cartridge SPA911 into the Surge protection device until it clicks into place.
   • Use a PZ2 screwdriver to tighten the cartridge screws to 0.25 Nm.
   • Check that the voltage and current ratings of SPA911 are compatible with your system: 250 V 1.5 A, 125 V / 1 A (UL), 30 V /1 A.

Surge Protection Kit

• Move the main switch over 2 modules and clip the Surge protection device on the right hand side of the main switch.
• Fit the16mm earth cable into one of the terminals in the top of the SPD and terminate in the earth bar. Torque to 3.6Nm.
• Loosen the bottom terminals on the Main switch and Surge protection device and insert the busbar into the rectangle slots above the cage terminals.
• Push the busbar firmly against the Surge protection device making sure the cables below are secure secure and torque back to 3.6Nm.
