Product Information: TXS 3600 High Density Transcoder

The TXS 3600 High Density Transcoder is a device used to convert video signals from one format to another. It is designed for easy  installation and configuration through its web interface. The device comes with the following items:

  • TXS 3600
  • Power cord(s)

If any of the items are missing or damaged, please contact Sencore for replacements.

Installation Instructions

  1. Secure the TXS 3600 into the rack space.
  2. Make all appropriate I/O connections on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect an Ethernet cable from a management network to the Control port.
  4. Connect the power cord(s).

Management Port Instructions

The TXS 3600 can be managed through its web interface or SNMP. To use the web interface or SNMP, the management IP address must be configured. Follow these steps:

  1. Press any button on the front panel.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to Network Settings, then press Enter.
  3. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to Settings, then press Enter.

DHCP IP Address Setup

  1. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to DHCP, then press Enter.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to Apply, then press Enter.

Static IP Address Setup

  1. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to Static, then press Enter.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to IP Address, then press Enter.
  3. Use the arrow buttons to select the column to edit and use the arrow buttons to change the values, then press Enter.
  4. Use the procedure in the previous step to set the Subnet Mask and Gateway.
  5. Once the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway have been set, use the arrow buttons to move the cursor to Apply, then press Enter.

Open a web browser (IE7 or above, Firefox 3.5 or above, or Chrome) and type: http://. The default password is mpeg101.

Unpack the TXS 3600 from the box and packaging materials it was shipped in. Verify all of the following items are present:

  • TXS 3600 High Density Transcoder 1x

  • Line Cords 2x

If any of these items are missing or damaged, please contact Sencore to obtain replacements.

Installation

  1. Secure the TXS 3600 into the rack space.

  2. Make all appropriate I/O connections on the back of the unit.

  3. Connect an Ethernet cable from a management network, to the Control port.

  4. Connect the line cord(s).

Management Port
