Safety instructions
Intended use This device is meant to be used to split up to 8 microphone
signals to every 2 outputs. Any other use or use under other operating
conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or
property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from
improper use. The danger for children Ensures that plastic bags, packaging,
etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young
children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts
(e.g. knobs or the like) from the
unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let unattended children
use electrical devices.
Where to use the product
Never use the product
- in direct sunlight
- in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
- in extremely dusty or dirty areas
- at locations where the unit can become wet
- near magnetic fields
General handling
- To prevent damage, never use force when operating the switches and controls.
- Never immerse the appliance in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners, or flammable cleaning agents.
Keep foreign substances from the unit
- Keep the device away from containers with liquids. Should any liquid get into the unit, this could lead to its destruction or fire. Be sure not to let any metal objects into the unit.
Operating elements
XLR microphone input.- Ground / Lift switch.
- Switch for input level attenuation (40 dB).
- Switch for linking both adjacent inputs.
- Galvanically isolated output. 6. Direct output.
Using the device
- Connect one or more low-impedance dynamic microphones or condenser microphones to the INPUT sockets (q) on the front panel of the unit.
- Connect the OUT sockets (t) of the used channels, for example, to the microphone inputs of a monitor mixer, a recording system, or the like.
- Connect the LINK OUT sockets (y) of the used channels to the microphone inputs of the main mixer. If you use condenser microphones at the inputs of the device, turn on the phantom power required for operation on the main mixer for these channels (or globally).
- Move the GROUND / LIFT switch (w) to the position that provides the less noisy signal for the respective channel.
- If some signals are too dominant, move the input level attenuation switch of the respective channel to the 40 dB position to prevent overload and clipping.
