GETTING STARTED
Before testing your skills as a Trainer with Train and Play Deluxe Pikachu™, you will need to set the switch to ON.
SET SWITCH TO ON
SLEEP MODE:
If Pikachu is not interacted with for about 60 seconds, Pikachu will go
into sleep mode.
To wake up Pikachu, touch the head sensor or turn Pikachu OFF then ON.
PLAY WITH PIKACHU
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Tap or Press (tap held for 1 – 3 seconds) Pikachu’s head touch sensor one to three times in a row to activate a response.
- Watch Pikachu react with sounds, light, and motion!
- Discover tons of different reactions in every combination!
TOUCH SENSOR EXAMPLES
- Tap Pikachu’s head touch sensor one to three times in a row and Pikachu will respond with one of many different happy responses.
- Press (tap held for 1 – 3 seconds) Pikachu’s head touch sensor three times in a row and Pikachu will respond with one of many different sleepy responses.
- Tap Pikachu’s head touch sensor too many times in a row, and Pikachu may become annoyed!
REACTS TO YOUR VOICE:
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Speak to Pikachu for as long as you’d like into the microphone located in Pikachu’s chest.
- Watch Pikachu react with sounds, light, and motion!
- Discover tons of different reactions that change depending on how long you talk to Pikachu.
TALKING EXAMPLES:
- Speak into Pikachu’s Microphone for less than 4 seconds and Pikachu will respond with one of many different short responses and its cheeks will flicker with arm movements.
- Speak into Pikachu’s microphone for longer than 4 seconds and Pikachu will respond with one of many different long responses with arm movements.
DANCE WITH PIKACHU:
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Place Pikachu near any source of music where the sound can be picked up by the microphone located in Pikachu’s chest.
- After 15 seconds, Pikachu will react with dancing sounds, motion, and lights!
TRAIN WITH PIKACHU
TOUCH SENSOR REACTIONS:
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Press and hold a finger on Pikachu’s head touch sensor for at least 3 seconds and Pikachu will respond with a sound.
- Pikachu will signal that it is ready when it plays a charging sound, and its cheek lights flicker slowly.
- Lift the finger from Pikachu’s head touch sensor at any point after the first charging sound to release an electric attack!
- The longer Pikachu’s head touch sensor is held, the more powerful the attack will be when the finger is lifted.
- Hold your finger to Pikachu’s head touch sensor for too long (12+ seconds) and Pikachu may overcharge!
- After overcharging, Pikachu will become tired, and any input will activate a tired sound. Use the Pecha Berry to remove this effect.
TOUCH SENSOR AND SOUND REACTIONS:
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Press and hold a finger on Pikachu’s head touch sensor for at least 3 seconds and Pikachu will respond with a sound.
- Pikachu will signal that it is ready when it plays a charging sound, and its cheek lights flicker slowly.
- Speak to Pikachu at any point after the first charging sound to release a physical attack!
- Watch Pikachu react with sounds, light, and motion in the ears, arms, and tail!
FEED FOR REACTIONS!
- Make sure Pikachu is turned ON.
- Touch the side of either the Pecha Berry or the Apple accessories to Pikachu’s mouth.
- Watch Pikachu react with sounds and motion!
- If Pikachu has overcharged and is tired, feed it the Pecha Berry to give it energy.

BATTERY RECYCLING INFORMATION
Help the environment by disposing of batteries responsibly. The wheelie bin
symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in domestic waste as
they contain substances which can be damaging to the environment and health.
Please remove exhausted batteries from the product and use designated
collection points or recycling facilities when disposing of batteries.

BATTERY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (ADULT INSTALLATION REQUIRED)
Requires 3 X 1.5V AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries (included).
Batteries included for “TRY ME” purposes. Replace with fresh batteries if
needed.

Move the switch on the product to the OFF position.
Use a Phillips Head screwdriver (not included) to remove cover. -
Remove the old batteries and insert the new (Insert quantity here) X 1.5V AAA (LR03) alkaline batteries with the correct polarity indicated inside the box. Screw the cover back in.

Move the switch to the ON position to activate the product feature. Move the switch to the OFF position when not in use to help save battery life.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
- Batteries are to be replaced by an adult.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- For best performance only the recommended batteries or their equivalent are to be used.
- Batteries must be inserted with correct polarity.
- Do not mix new and used batteries.
- Do not mix different types of batteries.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
