Please Read instructions prior to using cabinet
Set up instructions for Laboratory Refrigerators
Dear customer,
Thank you for choosing our Mortuary refrigerator / Freezer, to ensure the
cabinet is installed correctly please follow the following steps.
Important safety instructions
- To obtain full use of the cabinet, we recommend reading this instruction manual.
- It is the user’s responsibility to operate the appliance in accordance with the instructions given.
- Contact your dealer immediately in case of any malfunctions.
- Place cabinet in a dry and ventilated place.
- Keep cabinet away from strong heat-emitting sources and do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Always keep in mind that all electrical devices are sources of potential danger.
- Do not store flammable material such as thinner, gasoline etc. in the cabinet.
Unpacking and installation.
- Unpack and place in position.
- Ensure refrigerator is level.
- Connect Drainage
Air Ventilation
If cabinet is placed in a room ensure that there is adequate ventilation for
motor to operate day or night.
Light switch has been placed either on control panel or next to controller.
Door Lock
Is fitted on side of door.
Remove plastic film on stainless steel, roll out stretchers, clean interior
and exterior of cabinet. If necessary with warm water and detergent.
Our mortuary refrigerators / freezers can be either with built in motor or
remote (motor is placed externally of building or in a plant room)
Electrical Connection.
- Check label on cabinet before connecting to power supply, to confirm if it operates on 240v 50Hz or 3 phase.
- The wall socket should be easily accessible.
- All earthing requirements stipulated by your local authority.
Start-up of cabinet.
If cabinet has been fitted with a 3 pin socket then you can plug unto the
appropriate wall socket.
Once power is switched on there is up to a 60 second delay prior to compressor
starting up.
Cabinet temperature has already been set unless specified, it has been
programmed to operate between 2 and 5℃, however this can be adjusted refer to
dixel controller instructions located at thback of manual if required.
NRMF Range -20℃ freezer
Please follow the previous steps however your temperature control has been
programmed to operate at -22 – -18℃ with defrost periods every 6 hours for
self-contained or remote version. Cabinet temperature will slowly start to
drop, it could take up to 30 minutes prior to reaching desired temperature, if
this has not been achieved then contact your local distributor and turn power
of at power supply.
Preventative maintenance
It is essential that condenser be kept clean at all times. Condenser is
similar to car radiator. Turn power supply off and brush in a vertical motion
to remove any carpet fibres, fluff etc. this can vary from one location to
another; it may be necessary to do this every 3 months.
Cleaning of refrigerator. It will be necessary to clean the interior and
exterior of your cabinet from time to time. Do not use any harsh chemicals or
scorers, simply detergent, warm water and a cloth. If refrigerator is
stainless then after warm water and detergent you may use a stainless cleaner.
Alarm set points
Low alarm -1°C
High alarm +10°C
Delay on alarm is 30 minutes
Temperature set point
2 – 5℃
How to Check Hi / Low Readings
- Press Hi/low button your max temperature will appear while flashing.
- While Hi Temp is flashing, press the Hi/Low button again and your low temperature will display
To RESET Hi / Low temperature
- Press hi/low button, hold in until beeps approx. 6-10 seconds and let go.
