FAQs

What is the difference between the Bubzi Co ‎Owl Baby Soother White Noise Sound Machine and the Bubzi Co ‎Owl Baby Soother White Noise Sound Machine?****

The only difference is that the owl has a light projector.

Can I use it in a crib?****

Yes, you can attach it to the crib with the strap.

How long does it take to charge?****

It takes about 6 hours to fully charge.

What are the dimensions of this product?****

It measures approximately 12 inches long and 9 inches wide.

Is this product safe for my baby?****

Yes, it is BPA-free and safe for your baby.

How long should you use a noise machine?****

Place the white noise machine as far away as possible from your baby’s cot. Turn the volume down or alternately, don’t turn it up to maximum. Only use for settling periods, no longer than an hour, and turn off white noise once your baby is asleep. Try not to use a white noise machine for every sleep.

Why do people use noise machines?****

Masking noise is perhaps the most common reason people turn to sound machines, particularly if they’re dealing with loud pets, partners, or background noises in their environment.

Do noise machines help sleep?****

The bottom line. White noise machines may help you get a better quality night’s sleep by masking environmental or outside noises that are causing disturbed sleep. They not only can help you get to sleep but also stay asleep, and may even help to train your brain to know when it’s time to snooze

What happens if the sound machine is too loud?****

Noise machines can get as loud as 85 dB. That is not a safe decibel level for babies especially if the exposure is prolonged. They can cause temporary and even permanent damage to the baby’s ear.

What volume is safe for the sound machine?****

For adults, occupational safety guidelines recommend that workers without ear protection be exposed to no more than 85 decibels of sound intensity in an eight-hour shift. In the study, sound machines that were placed near infants’ cribs registered above 85 decibels.

Does the sound machine stay on all night?****

It’s tempting to keep the white noise going through the night, but it’s really not recommended. “Operate the infant sound machine for a short duration of time,” Schneeberg advises. She recommends using a timer or shutting it off once your baby is asleep, provided you’re still awake.

Do sound machines affect speech?****

Researchers determined that exposure to these machines on a nightly basis could affect hearing, speech, and language development. If you do use noise machines in your baby’s room, experts suggest that you place them more than 200 centimeters from the crib and keep the volume low.

How far should the sound machine be?****

Based on the findings of the AAP, pediatricians recommend that any white noise machines should be placed at least 7 feet away (200 cm) from your baby’s crib. You should also keep the volume on the machine below the maximum volume setting.
