Product Information
The Upgrad Digital Thermostat is compatible with Traeger Wood Pellet Grills.
It can be used with various Traeger Grill models including Century 22, Century
34, Eastwood 22, Eastwood 34, Texas Pro, Lil’ Pig, Pro 20, Pro Series 22,
Longhorn Steer, Select Elite, Texas Limited Edition, Century, Deluxe Elite
300, Executive Lonestar 20, Heartland Lonestar, Pro Series 34, Renegade Pro,
Select Pro, Silverton, Lil Tex Limited Edition, Double Commercial Junior Elite
20 Tailgater 20, Renegade Elite 20 Texas Elite 34 XL.
The thermostat has two modes: Advanced Mode and Player Mode. The installation
process is simple and requires plug-and-play wiring.
The wiring diagram and installation video are provided for reference.
Product Usage Instructions
- Disconnect the power supply to the grill before installing the digital thermostat.
- Remove the existing smoker control from the pellet hopper by unscrewing the two screws that attach it to the hopper.
- Carefully insert the digital control into the opening in the pellet hopper. Adjust the angle of the digital control to allow the circuit board to pass through the opening if necessary.
- Attach the digital control to the pellet hopper using the two screws that previously mounted the smoker control. Do not over tighten the screws.
- Connect the RTD sensor and temperature dial wires to the digital control according to the wiring diagram provided. Use the green terminal block for RTD wires.
- Connect the power cord and other wires (auger drive motor, small fan blade, draft inducer fan, large fan blade, and hot rod) to the digital control using the MOLEX connectors. Ensure that the wires are connected to the correct receptacles.
- Set the probe selector switch to the desired position (Probe 1, Probe 2, or ON).
- Set the temperature unit switch to Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius (C) according to your preference.
- Insert the probes into the meat and attach them to the probe receptacles on the digital control if you wish to monitor the meat temperature.
- Power on the grill and set the temperature dial to the desired temperature. The digital control will regulate the temperature automatically.
- If you encounter any usage or installation problems, contact the manufacturer for assistance. The product is covered by warranty and can be replaced or refunded free of charge during the warranty period.

WIRING DIAGRAM
WIRING AND MOUNTING THE DIGITAL CONTROL:

Locate the Green Terminal Block on the back of the Digital Control in the upper right corner.
Using a small screwdriver, loosen the two screws to open the clamping jaws enough to insert the RTD Wire ends. -
Insert a bare wire end on one of the RTD Wires into the clamping jaws on one post of the Terminal Block .tighten the screw to securely attach the wire. Do not overtighten. Repeat this process on the remaining RTD Wires may be connected to the Terminal Block in any combination.

Along with the RTD Wires, feed the wiring from the Digital Control into the opening in the Pellet Hopper.

Carefully insert the Digital Control into the opening in the Pellet Hopper. Again, you may need to adjust the angle of the Digital Control to allow the circuit board to pass through the opening

Using the two screws that mounted the Smoker Control, attach the Digital Control to the Pellet Hopper. Do not over tighten the screws.
F & Q:
ErH, Indicates high temperature. Turn off the hot rod Igniter and motor,
The fan is delayed for 10 minutes and then turned off.
Er1, Indicates RTD-Probe failure, Turn off the hot rod Igniter and motor,
The fan is delayed for 10 minutes and then turned off.
ErL, Indicates prolonged operation of the Hot Rod Igniter for more than
30 minutes, Turn off the hot rod Igniter and motor, The fan is delayed for 10
minutes and then turned off.
ErP, Indicates that the knob is not in the OFF position after power is
applied, prevents the system from restarting itself after an accidental power
failure
