Thank you for choosing your hospital bed from Kenmak Hospital Furniture.
Every single Kenmak Hospital Furniture product is being produced under high
quality standards bearing in mind to minimize the risk of environmetal reverse
effect. Kenmak Hospital Furniture’s operation are certified by globally

Kenmak Hospital Furniture beds are being manufactured in Turkey in line with
aforementioned quality standards and are being tested before dispatching the
factory by Quality Team.
Any incident involving the product should be reported to the manufacturer and
the regulatory body.

Intended Use
BAMBINO Kenmak electrically operated child bed is produced with intend to be
used in Intensive Care Units (ICU) of hospitals, nursing homes, and homes.
Product should be used in suitable indoor atmosphere, between 0 to +40
degrees.
It is intended to be used by individuals older than 12 years old.
The product should only be used with accessories delivered together with the
bed or with the accessories produced by Kenmak.
For the information on safe working load (SWL) see the “Technical Details”
section of this instruction manual.
Warnings
Using the equipment for purposes other than those previously described is
forbidden. The equipment must only be used by properly trained personnel.
Before starting to operate the bed, the operator must be perfectly aware of
how the bed works, of where the controls are located and of all technical-
functional features. Such awareness can be acquired by carefully reading this
manual.
If is possible, the nursing staff should properly inform patients on how the
bed works and should explain the individual controls the patient can operate.
After such information has been provided, if is possible, the patient should
be asked to “trial run” the couch.
Removing any safety or protection devices on the appliance is strictly
forbidden; periodically, at weekly intervals, check the integrity of such
devices and make sure they are working properly.
Before carrying out any maintenance or repair jobs on the equipment, the
operator should have carefully read and understood the technical information
provided in this
manual. All maintenance and repair jobs must be done by skilled personnel.
Never position the equipment close to heat sources.
Position and secure the equipment in a stable manner on a horizontal floor.
The bed movement area must be kept clean, in order and devoid of objects that
could restrict free movement. The instructions, accident-prevention rules and
warnings contained in this manual must always be followed.
General Features and Accessories
- The patient bed backrest ,height , trendelenburg-reverse trendelenburg positions and electrical bed extension (length) are adjusted by electrical motors
- The electrical system is 220 Volt , 50 Hz line voltage , 24V output.
- It has self-chargable battery system for power failure.
- The bed has Central locking system casters.
- The footboard has embedded control panel for adjustments of all the functions that the bed can perform.
- Siderails have gaspring system to slow down.
- Storage plase under the deck
- The mattress surface is X-Ray translucent and covered with ABS material.

Bed Safety Devices
Side Rails
When raised, the prevent the patient accidentally falling out of bed, when
lowered they allow free access to the bed.
Parking Brake
Prevents the bed from accidentally moving while the patient is getting in and
out of bed.
Head and Foot Boards
Instructions for Use
Before using the bed, carefully read all the instructions on the push button
panel controls. Correct control learning will ensure proper and safe bed use.
Prior to enabling the various bed movements, make sure that the patient does
not have his/her arms located in any opening, for example in the protection
safety sides or bed ends.
Power supply
Connect the beds mains cable to a wall socket. The beds motors are driven by a
low voltage system (24V). The system is powered via a transformer built into
the electronics box.
- Check that the mains cable is not pinched or stuck.
- If the power is to be interrupted to the bed, unplug the mains cable from the wall socket.
Locking the wheels
The bed is equipped with diagonally lockable wheels. Press the bar that is in
the end of the bed.
Press the bar down= lock
Pull the bar up = directional lock
Hold the bar in a horizontal position = neutral
Product Labelling
Battery
Beds have back up battery in order to able to the user to use electrical bed
functions during transport the patient on bed or during electricity cuts.
The batteries must be recharged at least every 3 months, otherwise they will
be damaged and will run down.
Batteries must only be replaced by original models supplied by the
manufacturer.
Batteries must be replaced according to use at least every 4 years. Frequent
charging and discharging will reduce battery life.
Environment, Transport and Storage

Transport and Storage**
Conditions for transport and storage:
- Air humidity between 10 and 80% RH
- Temperature between -300 and 400C
- Pressure between 700 and 1100 hPa
Maintenance and reconditioning
The bed is designed to require the minimum maintenance. It is recommended that
preventive maintenance be carried out according to our service schedule every
other year.
Normal Cleaning
Mechanics and motor systems are cleaned with a damp cloth. Readily available
cleansers and disinfectants can be used. Can be rinsed with spray water.
The bed ends and long sides are cleaned with a damp cloth. Readily available
cleansers and disinfectants can be used.
High-pressure Wash
Before washing motors have to be in the bottom position. Lift out the
electronics unit.
Inspection in the Case of Reconditioning
Check that the attachment points for all motors are undamaged and do not have
unnaturally large gaps.
Check that there isn’t any visible damage on the motors and mechanics.
Check that joints and fasteners for the back and leg sections are undamaged
and do not have unnaturally large gaps.
Check that joints and fasteners for the bed lift’s scissor section are
undamaged and do not have an unnaturally large gap.
Check that the bed lift’s wheels are firmly tightened.
Tighten the screws for bed ends and long sides.
Check that the mains cable and cable to the control unit are undamaged.
Re-lubricate if necessary according to inspection report.
