FRONT OVERVIEW

FRONT OVERVIEW

POWER & SELECT
The power and select control are combined as a single button. With the AC power cable plugged in, the AMP-23R goes into standby mode. In standby mode, pushing the button for 2 seconds will turn on the amplifier and the input LED will light up. While the amplifier is on, push the button to select the input source. During the input change, the gain level is automatically changed to zero (mute), after which it is then returned to its last position step. Pushing the button for 2 seconds will put the amplifier back into standby mode.
Remarks: The latest generation JET2 Bias circuit inside the AMP-23R stabilizes its bias level during the initial turn-on period for about 3 seconds. During this startup period, the LEDs will blink periodically and the AMP-23R will be in mute mode with no signal output in order to check the AC voltage, DC voltage and temperature. The LEDs would also blink when the AMP- 23R enters into protection mode from either DC voltage, AC input voltage or high temperature problems. The protection mode will mute the output and the LED will continue to blink until the user disconnects the power cord for further service.

“GAIN PHASE” KNOB & DISPLAY
The “Gain Phase” knob sets the current gain level of the AMP-23R. It employs a motorized volume pot, so that the software can read the position of the volume pot and send it to the attenuator circuit. The attenuator circuit contains various sets of resistors and relays for the precise gain level according to the position of the knob — as indicated on its surrounding “dot”. The first dot at 7 o’clock position represets the minimum gain level and the last dot at 5 o’clock position is the maximum gain level.

Remarks: As with conventional mechanical attenuators, it is possible to hear a small amount of noise while changing the gain level.

AC POWER INLET
The AC POWER INLET contains an AC power receptacle (IEC standard) and a fuse holder. Securely connect the AC power cable here. When replacing the fuse, be sure to use the same type and value fuse as specified on the marking label.

MARKING LABEL
The MARKING LABEL is located under the power inlet. It describes the AC main voltage, power consumption, fuse type and value. Make sure you check this label carefully before the installation.
Remarks: The AMP-23R incorporates an AC voltage sensing circuit that detects incoming AC voltage to automatically select the AC transformer primary inputs during the initial start-up process. This ensures the optimum performance at any given AC condition. But if the AC voltage is either too low (less than 5%) or too high (more than 5%), the AMP-23R’s protection circuit will automatically turn off the amplifier. Please make sure to use the correct fuse value and type according to the AC voltage.

LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT
You can connect a pair of loudspeaker cables to the connectors according to + and — markings. Be careful not to touch and make contacts between any of these connectors during the installation, as this would pose a risk of damaging the amplifier and the loudspeakers.

INPUT
There are two sets of conventional voltage inputs (RCA) and one set of ENLINK current input (BNC). Conventional voltage source components are compatible with the RCA voltage inputs. The ENLINK is used exclusively for source components by Enleum.

REMOTE CONTROLLER

REMOTE CONTROLLER

POWER & MUTE
Press this button for 2 seconds to turn the AMP-23R on or off from the standby status. A short press of the button mutes the output and the input LED blinks during this period. Another short press turns it back on.

GAIN (UP & DOWN)
A short press changes the AMP-23R’s gain Level by a small step and holding down the button changes the gain level continuously.

SELECT & OPTION
During the AMP-23R’s operation, a short press of this button selects the input source. Press the button for 2 seconds to enter into the “OPTION” mode, and the LED will start to blink for the headphone gain and “RETURN TO ZERO” feature settings as described below.

HEADPHONE GAIN
In the “OPTION” mode, press “UP” or “DOWN” button to move the blinking LED. The blinking “V1” is in the low gain mode and the blinking “V2” represents the high gain mode. On the desired mode, press the “OPTION” button for 2 seconds to set and return to the normal operation.

RETURN TO ZERO
The AMP-23R automatically turns down the knob to minimum during power off. You can disable this feature to leave the gain knob in a certain position and use a preamp to control volume. During the “OPTION” mode, press the “POWER” button, and the other LED (not the blinking gain mode LED) will blink twice to show that the feature is disabled, or press again and the LED will blink once and it is enabled. Press the “OPTION” button for 2 seconds to set and return to the normal operation.

OPERATION

AC POWER
Securely connect the AC power cable to the IEC socket in the rear panel and to the wall outlet or receptacle.

INPUT SOURCES
Securely connect a pair of conventional RCA interconnect cables from any voltage source equipment to the RCA connectors Located at the back panel. It is strongly recommended that any source of equipment from Enleum should be used with ENLINK. Do not connect any voltage source to the BNC input connectors.

LOUDSPEAKER OR HEADPHONE OUTPUTS
Securely connect a pair of loudspeaker cables from the output connectors located at the back panel of the AMP-23R to the Loudspeakers. Connect the headphones to the front panel’s socket for headphone listening.
After you have installed all the connections, you are now ready to turn on the AMP-23R to start listening. Please follow the steps below to protect the AMP- 23R against any possible accident or damage.

  1. Please ensure every connection — AC power, signal input and output is properly connected.
  2. Turn on the source equipment first, then turn on the AMP-23R.
  3. Select the desired input and play the source equipment.
  4. Slowly rotate the knob clockwise or use the remote controller to increase and set your desired gain level.
  5. To turn off, you may follow the steps above in the reverse order.

SAFETY

All products from Enleum are strictly designed and manufactured to meet safety standards. However, it is important that owners should read and follow below instructions very carefully to avoid any possible damages.
