  1. VOLUME KNOB: Turn to adjust volume.

  2. /FUNC. : Press to turn the unit on. Press and hold to turn the unit off. Press to select a source (CD, FM, Aux-in or BLUETOOTH®).

  3. REP/PROG.: In CD mode, press to select the repeat or random mode. In CD stop mode press to program tracks.

  4. STOP: In CD mode press to stop playback. In FM mode, press to select preset station and preset station number.

  5. DISC TRAY: Push to open the tray.

  6. /SCAN: In CD/ BLUETOOTH mode, press to start/pause playback. In FM mode, press and hold to search and save the stations. In FM mode, press to select preset station and preset station number.

  7. In CD mode, press ( /TUN-) once to restart the current track. Press ( /TUN-) twice in succession to return to the beginning of the previous track. Press and hold to fast rewind. In Radio mode, press to manual search a station. In Radio mode, press and hold to auto search a station

SETUP & BASIC OPERATION

SETUP

  • Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.

Note: To prevent interference, avoid bundling audio signal cables together with the AC power cord.

BASIC OPERATION

  1. Press the c,,FuNc. button to turn the unit on.
  2. Press the c,,FuNc. button to select the source (CD/FM/AUX/BLUETOOTH)
  3. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust to the desired sound level.
  4. Press and hold the c,,FuNc. button to turn the unit off.

LISTENING TO A CD

  1. Press the ,FuNc. button to select CD mode. The unit will display “Cd” on the screen.
    Note: When no disc is set, “disc” will appear on the display.

  2. Push the CD door to open the tray.

  3. Place a disc on the tray with the printed label face out and close the tray.

  4. The unit will auto playback from the first track.

  5. To temporarily pause playback, press the M11scAN button. Press again to resume.

  6. To skip tracks backward or forward, press the corresponding skip button ( TUN- or /TUN+).

  7. Pressing TUN- once will restart the current track.

  8. Pressing TUN- twice in succession will return to the beginning of the previous track.

  9. Pressing TUN+ button to skip to the next track.

  10. To stop playback, press the STOP ■ button.

Note: Never place more than one disc on the tray. The disc must be placed in the center of the disc tray. An incorrectly loaded disc can permanently damage the tray door mechanism. It takes a moment for the unit to load a disc, during which all buttons will be temporarily deactivated.
Note: The unit cannot play MP3 disc.

REPEAT AND RANDOM PLAYBACK

Each time the REPIPRoG. button is pressed, the repeat/ random mode will cycle through the following options

  • Repeat 1: The current track will be played repeatedly. If you press the ( /TUN- or /TUN+ ) button to select another track, the track you select will be played repeatedly or randomly.
  • Repeat All: The entire CD will be played repeatedly.
  • Random Play: The entire CD will be played randomly.
  • Note: when you switch to random play, it will immediately jump to other tracks.

Note: Press the REP/PROG button repeatedly until the repeat icon disappears on the screen, the repeat mode will be canceled.

PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK

Program play must be set when the CD is stopped. You can program up to 20 tracks for CD disc.

  1. Press CJ1FuNc. button to select CD mode, then load a CD.
  2. While the CD is stopped, press the REPIPRoG. button.
  3. “PROG” indicator blinks, and “P01” appears on the display.
  4. Press ( /TuN- or /TuN+) to select a track number.
  5. Press the REPJPRoG. button again to set the current track.
  6. “P02” is displayed. Repeat steps 4 thru 5 to program the additional tracks.
  7. When the selection of track numbers has been finished, press the M11scAN button to start program playback.
  8. To cancel the program mode, press the STOP ( ■) button once.

Note: Programmed playback works with finalized disc only. When all 20 program tracks are set, you press” REPIPRoG .. ” button and “Fl” will appears on the display.

To check the programmed order

  1. After programming, press M11scAN. button to start playing, and you can press ( /TuN- or /TUN+ “) repeatedly to show the track numbers that have been programmed.

To clear the programmed order

  1. Press STOP when the CD is already stopped or press the CJ1FuNc. button.

LISTENING TO FM RADIO

  1. Press the /FuNc. button to select the FM tuning function.
  2. Press the /TuN- or /TuN+ button to tune to the desired station
  3. Or press and hold the /TuN- o /,TuN+ button to auto search a station.
  4. Press and hold the MI1scAN button to auto search and save the station. It can preset 20 stations in FM.

Adjusting for Best Reception

  • FM broadcast: Extend and reposition the FM antenna.

Preset Tuning

You can store the frequency of 20 FM radio stations in the memory

  1. Select your desired FM station.
  2. To store the FM radio frequency shown, press REP/PRoo. button, and “P01” will flash on the display. Please press REP/PRoo. button again before the indicator stops flashing and the frequency shown will be stored as P01 .
  3. To continue storing P02:
  4. Press the /TuN- or /TuN+ button to select the desired frequency;
  5. Press REPIPRoo. button again and this will bring you to the selection of the P– stations.
  6. Press STOP(■) or M11scAN button to select the preset station from P01 to P20, using the STOP( ■) or M11scAN button to choose through the range.
  7. Press REPIPROG. button again before the indicator of your chosen preset station “P” stops flashing. Then the frequency shown will be stored as the corresponding ‘P.
  8. According to the above way, you can store the desired stations as P01-P20.
  9. Press the STOP( ■) or M11scAN button to listen the preset station.

LISTEN TO AUX DEVICE

In AUX (auxiliary) mode, this unit can play audio from an external audio source (iPod, MP3 Player, Portable CD Player, etc.) There is an AUX IN jack on the back of unit. When connecting a device that has a headphone jack, use the cable with 3.5mm plugs on either end with the front AUX IN jack.

  1. Press the o,FuNc. button to select the AUX-IN function.
  2. Plug one end of the AUX IN cable (not included) into the AUX IN jack.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into the headphone jack of the external audio source.
    Note: All operations are only available on your external device.

LISTEN TO BLUETOOTH® DEVICE

In Bluetooth® mode, this unit can enjoy music from external devices which have a built-in Bluetooth® feature.

GETTING CONNECTED USING BLUETOOTH®

  1. Press o,FuNc. button to select Bluetooth® mode and then the display will show “bt”.
  2. Set the Bluetooth® function of your external device when the apparatus is on.
  3. Set to search Bluetooth® device on your external device. Note: The effective distance between your external device and this apparatus is up to 33 feet (10 meters).
  4. Find the “VICTOR VDT J-1500” on the paired devices list on your external device and connect. If prompted for a password, enter “0000” then press “OK” on your external device.
  5. A few seconds later your Bluetooth® connection is success and you will hear a series of rising tune.

PLAYING MUSIC FROM AN EXTERNAL DEVICE

  1. Get your external device paired. (See “Getting Connected” section above)
  2. Turn on the music player program on your external device and set it play.

Normally, you can control music playback with the SCAN, /TUN- and 11+11TuN+ buttons on the apparatus. However, some buttons may not work due to the variable music player program. Now enjoy the fun! If you want to disconnect the currently connected external device, long press ~11scAN until the Bluetooth icon flashing.
