Trust ZCO-900 Zigbee Carbon Monoxide Detector
COMPATIBILITY
This Carbon Monoxide detector works with the Smart Bridge and the ICS-2000 to
give additional functionality like receiving push notifications when Carbon
Monoxide is detected.
NOTE: For receiving push notifications, a fully working internet
connection is required. Replace the detector max 10 years after production
date. The production date can be found on the battery label inside the sensor
PLACING CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR
- The detector must be placed at a horizontal distance between 1 and 3 meters from the CO source (boiler, geyser, central heating system, gas heater).
- Ensure that the detector is placed centrally in the room.
- Place the detector at least 30 centimeters from surrounding walls.
- The detector must be placed at breathing level in the bedroom (this is the height at which you sleep)
- Always comply with local legislation regarding installation in buildings.
- Do not place the detector in or under a cabinet
- Do not place the detector where it is obstructed by curtains or furniture.
- Do not place the detector in a damp room.
- Do not place the detector next to existing air inlets or outlets or other objects on the ceiling.
TESTING AND USAGE
- Always test the CO detector with the test mode after installation and then once a week. Replace the CO alarm immediately if the test fails.
- Replace the battery immediately when the CO alarm indicates that the battery is low. (up to 3 years of battery life) (See LED function table)
- Never use water, cleaning agents or solvents to clean the CO detector as this may damage the device.
- If the CO detector is damaged, replace it immediately.
- The CO alarm will not warn residents with a hearing impairment. It is recommended to install special CO detectors to warn people with hearing difficulties.
- Use only a CR123A 3.0V lithium battery. Other batteries can cause unreliable operation.
- When the battery is removed, the CO alarm will no longer work.
- Press the test button to check the operation after replacing the battery.
If you suspect that there is a CO leak, open the doors and windows to
ventilate. If possible, switch off all fuel-driven devices, leave the premises
and call professional help.
