- KpA uncertainty ………………………………………3 dB
- LWA sound power level …………………….. 97 dB(A)
- KWA uncertainty ………………………………………3 dB
Wear ear-muffs.
- The impact of noise can cause damage to hea-ring.
- Total vibration values (vector sum of three direc-tions) determined in accordance with EN 60745.
- Vibration emission value ah = 4.27 m/s2
- K uncertainty = 1.5 m/s2
- The stated vibration emission levels and stated noise emission values were measured in ac-cordance with a set of standardized criteria and can be used to compare one power tool with another.
- The stated vibration emission levels and stated noise emission values can also be used to make an initial assessment of exposure.
Warning:
The vibration and noise emission levels may vary from the level specifi ed
during actual use, depen-ding on the way in which the power tool is used,
especially the type of workpiece it is used for.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a minimum.
- Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-king order.
- Service and clean the appliance regularly.
- Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
- Do not overload the appliance.
- Have the appliance serviced whenever ne-cessary.

Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in accordance with instructions,
certain resi-dual risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards may arise
in connection with the equipment’s construction and layout:
- Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask is used.
- Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-tion is used.
- Health damage caused by hand-arm vib-rations if the equipment is used over a pro-longed period or is not properly guided and maintained.
Limit the operating time!
All stages of the operating cycle must be conside-red (for example, times in
which the electric tools are switched off and times in which the tool is
switched on but operates without load).
Before starting the equipment
Use only drive socket inserts which are suitable for the purpose and in
faultless condition.
Note: This tool is equipped with a centrifugal clutch.
- A) When the drive socket insert fi tted to the square drive mount is placed on the wheel nut/wheel bolt, this will result in the motor being loaded. The motor will run without the drive socket insert turning. Using the cen-trifugal clutch, the motor builds up torque and performs short impact movements on the drive socket insert when this torque is reached. As the result, the wheel nut/wheel bolt will be tightened or slackened.
- B) When the motor is not loaded, the square drive mount or the fi tted drive socket insert will rotate. Caution! Never hold the square drive mount or the fi tted drive socket insert with your hand. You could be injured by a sud-den impact movement.
Operation
Power supply
Connect the 12 V power plug (Fig. 1 Item 7) to the vehicle’s cigarette lighter
socket.
Direction of rotation switch (Fig. 1/Item 3)
The slide switch above the On/Off switch is for setting the direction of
rotation of the impact driver and for preventing the impact driver from being
switched on inadvertently. You can select between counter-clockwise and
clockwise rotati-on. To avoid causing damage to the gearing, the direction of
rotation is allowed to be changed only when the equipment is at a standstill.
When the slide switch is in the middle position, the On/Off switch is blocked.
On/Off switch (Fig. 1/Item 4)
-
Switching on:
Press the On/Off switch (4). -
Switching off :
Release the On/Off switch (4)
Working with the impact driver
Plug the required drive socket insert on the square drive mount. Select the
correct direction of rotation on the impact driver.
Note:
- The spirit level on the top of the driver (Fig. 1 / Item 2) helps you to fit the drive socket insert onto a wheel nut/wheel bolt in a straight posi-tion.
- The LED light (Fig. 1 / Item 5) will come on when the equipment is connected to the 12 V power supply. It enables the work area to be illuminated when lighting conditions are poor.
Tightening
- Push the drive socket insert onto the screw head and actuate the On/Off switch.
- Carefully insert the bolt or nut in the thread before you move the electric driver into position. A torque of approx. 50 Nm per pulse is generated on stan-dard bolts of size M12/M14. On motor cars, each bolt should be tightened with two pulses. Each bolt should then be checked with one additional pulse. A total torque of approx. 150 Nm is thus achieved.
- Three pulses are recommended on heavy vehic-les (e.g. luxury cars, off -road vehicles, etc.). Each bolt should then be tightened in diametrically opposed order with one additional pulse. A total torque of approx. 200 Nm is thus achieved.
- Check the threaded connections for signs of da-mage after tightening.
Danger!
Always check and retighten wheel nuts with a torque wrench that is set to the
torque spe-cifi ed by the manufacturer of the vehicle in question.
Slackening
To slacken a wheel bolt/wheel nut proceed as de-scribed in the section
“Tightening” but use the op-posite direction of rotation. Several impact
pulses will be needed depending on how tight the wheel nut/wheel bolt is
seated.
Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Pull out the 12 V plug.
Cleaning
- Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
- We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
- Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-re that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.
Replacing the fuse in the 12 V plug
If an overload occurs, the 15 A fuse in the 12 V power plug will melt. Unscrew
and remove the top end of the plug and replace the defective fuse with one of
the same type. Screw the top end of the plug back in place. Find out what
caused the overloading.

Please quote the following data when ordering replacement parts:
- Type of machine
- Article number of the machine

be returned to a suitable collection point that will dispose of the equipment
in accordance with the national recycling and waste disposal regulations. This
does not apply to any accessories or aids without electrical components
supplied with the old equipment. Please note that batteries and lamps (e.g.
light bulbs) must be removed from the tool before it is disposed of. The
reprinting or reproduction by any other me-ans, in whole or in part, of
documentation and papers accompanying products is permitted only with the
