We unboxed! Now what?
Depending on how long your play couch has been in the box, it may take up to
two weeks for the foam pieces to decompress and regain their full shape and
firmness. It is also normal for the microsuede covers to be wrinkled when
unboxed. The wrinkles will smooth out with use, or using steam will take them
out right away.
If ever there are any foam pieces that are taking longer than a few days to
expand (this is very rare), we suggest trying the following:
- Remove the covers and liners and lay the foam out (not stacking pieces) overnight. A room that no kids or pets can access is ideal.
- If any spots still look a bit squished or “wrinkly”, try the blowdryer. To be performed by an adult only of course! Use medium to high heat (not touching the foam directly but coming close) to blast air into the affected area. Watch the magic happen before your eyes.

Our foam is firm enough for sturdy builds, yet soft enough to be comfortable.

Luxury microsuede Covers
We suggest washing your covers before use if they are midnight blue, especially if you have light coloured rugs. This will prevent any colour transfer from occurring. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, separately. Hang or lay to dry. The washing instructions can be found on the inside of the microsuede covers. No need to wash the waterproof liners though!
Our luxury microsuede covers are very easy to wipe off with a wet cloth if small messes happen. When they do need to be washed, they are much easier to slip back on with the waterproof liners (trust us, cover changes without liners are BRUTAL)!
