Thank you for purchasing our product. We hope that this user manual could help you get started with basic features that our camera has.

NOTICE

  1. Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the camera. It contains important information for your safety as well as operating and maintenance instructions.
  2. Follow all safety precautions in order to prevent damage due to improper use of the camera.
  3. In the event of improper use or erroneous handling, no liability can be assumed for any possible damage which may occur.
  4. You should not install this dash camera at a place that would obstruct or reduce a driver’s view. Make sure your usage complies with pertinent vehicle codes of your state, province, territory or country.
  5. You should release the required record notification to the occupant in the car, if you will record sounds or other information / signals related to car activity.
  6. You should avoid extended exposure of the dash cam to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures (either high or low temperature) which tend to degrade or damage the unit and its normal functionality.
  7. Do not try to open the cover or try to repair it yourself. If the accessories for this device have any problem, please contact the seller for assistance.
  8. Pay careful attention when cleaning the lens surface. Use a soft, moist cloth to clean the lens to avoid compromising video quality.
  9. This device is intended to be used inside the vehicle only.
  10. Do not expose this product to rain, moisture or water under any circumstances, or it will result in external or internal damage.
  11. Do not operate or install the camera while driving, or attempt to change any setting. etc.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT:

  1. The pre-install test is a must before final installation.
  2. Insert a formatted memory card(not included) into the product before your first use.
    • Operation steps: Short press the M Button twice in the state of stopping recording. then press the Right Button to select Format, and then press the OK Button to format the TF card.
    • Due to the data rate of the video being recorded, a reputable Class 10 or higher speed memory card must be used.
    3. Professional installation of this product is generally recommended.

Step 1
Install the Stand with the Suction Cup and GPS Receiver to
the dash camera. Align the Connecting Finger on the Stand with the Connecting Finger on the Camera, then slide the stand into the Mounting Bracket until you hear it click.

Tip: To remove the camera from the stand, press the Latch on the stand and take it out.
Step 2
Peel off the protective film on the Suction Cup. Attach the Suction Cup onto the front windshield and rotate the GPS Receiver from the mark to the mark to firmly fix the suction cup.

Tip: It’s recommended to mount the camera in a position that is close to the rear mirror.
Step 3
Loose the Screw for Stand Adjustment to adjust the angle of the dash camera for the best view.

Step 4
Connect the USB connector of the Car Charger to the Mini USB Port on the GPS Receiver, and connect another end to the Cigarette Lighter Receptacle in the vehicle.

Note: To make your car neat and organized, we suggest you fix the cable of the car charger over the edge of the windshield as shown below.

Step 5
Rotate the rear camera to get a better view and record the video from the interior of the vehicle.

Step 6
Insert a memory card into the dash camera and format it (see page 04).

Step 7
Start the engine of your vehicle to check whether the dash camera is installed correctly and works well.

FUNCTIONS OF ALL BUTTONS

**** Power Button| • Press and hold to power on or power off the dash camera.
• Shortly press to turn on or turn off the screen when the dash camera is working.

OK Button| • Press to confirm your selection.
• Press to start/end recording in video mode.
• Press to take a photo in photo mode.
• Press to play/pause the selected video in playback mode.
• Press to enter a full-screen mode for the selected photo in playback mode.


Left Button| • Press it to move to the previous option/file and adjust the value for the date & time
• Press it to switch the camera views in video mode.
• When playing a video in playback mode, press it to serve as a fast-reverse button.
Menu Button| • When the dash camera is not recording video, press and hold it to switch among video mode, photo mode, and playback mode.
• In video/photo/playback mode, shortly press to access the corresponding settings page of that mode and system settings.
• During video recording, shortly press it to lock the current video.
• Press it to get back to the homepage of each mode.
Right Button| • Press it to move to the next option/file and adjust the value for the date & time
• During video recording, press it to enable or disable the microphone.
• When playing a video in playback mode, press it to serve as a fast-forward button.

FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW

CAMERA MODES

1. Video Mode
After the dash camera is powered on, it will enter the video mode by default. A flashing red dot on the top left corner indicates that the camera is recording. Press OK to stop recording and save a video. Press it again to start recording another video.

  • Press to switch the camera views.
  • Press to enable or disable the microphone(turn on or turn off the audio recording).
  • Press to lock the current video. An icon will be displayed on the screen.

2. Photo Mode
After stopping the recording in the video mode, press and hold to switch to photo mode. Press OK to take and save a photo.

3. Playback Mode
In the photo mode, press and hold M to switch to the playback mode.

  • Press to view all the files, and press OK to play/pause the selected video and enter the full-screen mode for a photo.
  • When playing a video, press to serve as a fast reverse button and press to serve as a fast forward button.
  • An icon is displayed on the upper left of the locked video.

SETTINGS

1. Video Settings
In video mode, shortly press M 0 to access the detailed settings of this mode.

Resolution
Change the resolution of the front camera. Options include UHD P30. UHD P25+FHD P25, QHD P30+FHD P30, FHD P30+FHD P30. (The resolution of the rear camera is 1080P only.)
Notes: UHD: 3840’2160P (4K); QHD: 25601440P; FHD: 19201080P (P: fps; P25: 25f ps) UHD P30: Selecting this option will turn off the rear camera, leaving the front camera at 4K 30fps.
Loop recording
Change the recording time of each video. The recording time is set to 3 minutes by default. Options are Off. 1Minute. 3 Minutes. and 5 Minutes.
Notes:

  • Off means the Loop Recording function is disabled. Each video would be saved in 5 minutes length. and the camera would stop recording when the card runs out of space.
  • If you change to 3 Minutes or 5 Minutes, the recording time would be changed accordingly.
  • After the Loop Recording Function is enabled, the oldest videos will be overwritten by the latest video when there is no remaining capacity on the card. Its recommended to enable this function.

WDR
Wide Dynamic Range. Setting it to On implies that the camera will automatically handle bright and dark environments to improve the recording quality.
EV Exposure
Set the amount of light per unit area. Higher value results in a brighter image.

Sensor

  • Set the different C-sensor sensitivity of collision detection during the drive. Options are Off, Low, Medium, and High.
  • Off means this function is disabled. The recording video will not be locked when the car encounters a collision.
  • Select High/Low implies that the recording video will be locked when the car encounters a Minor/Severe collision.

IRLED

  • There are three options, including Off, On, and Auto.
  • If you select On, the Infrared LEDs would be turned on and the color of the image would turn to black&white to get a clearer view.
  • Auto means that the Infrared LEDs would be turned on or off according to the brightness of the environment.

Rear Camera Mirror
On means to mirror the image from left to right. This function is only for the view from the rear camera.
Motion Detection
If you select On, the camera would automatically start recording a video for around 10 seconds when it detects a moving object.
Record Audio
Turn on or turn off the audio recording(microphone).
Date Stamp
Show or hide the date and time watermark on the recorded video files.
2. Photo Settings
In photo mode, shortly press M to access the detailed settings of this mode.

Resolution
Change the resolution of the photos taken by the front and rear cameras. Options include 12M(4032×3024). 8M(3264×2448). 5M(2592×1944) and 3M(2048×1536). The default resolution of the photo is 5M.
Quality
You can select image quality from Fine(the highest JPEG resolution), Normal, and Economy(the lowest JPEG resolution).
Date Stamp
Show or hide the date and time watermark on the captured photo files.
3. Playback Settings
In playback mode, shortly press M to access the detailed settings of this mode.

Delete
Detele the current file or all the files.
Protect
Lock/unlock the current file; lock/unlock all the files. The locked files will not be overwritten.
Slide Show
Play all the files in a slide show with the selected time. Time options are 2 Seconds, 5 Seconds, and 8 Seconds.
4. System Settings
In the settings of any mode, press M again to access the system settings.

Date/Time
Press to start setting the date and time of the camera. Press to select the year, month, date, hour, minute, and seconds, then press OK to confirm and move to the next option.
Backlight
Set the time to enter steep mode after a period of inactivity. You can choose from Off, 1Minute. 3Minutes. and SMinutes.
Beep Sound
Turn on or turn off the sound when you press the buttons.
Boot Sound
Turn on or turn off the sound when you power on/off the camera.
Language
Set the language of the camera.
Frequency
Change the fresh rate between 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
GPS switch
Turn on or turn off the GPS function. If you enable this function, the GPS Function Enabled icon would be displayed in video mode.
Speed Unit
Only available when the GPS function is enabled. MPH and KM/H are the selectable options.
Timezone Setting
Set the timezone according to your location.
Format
Press to bring up the pop-up window to format your memory card.
Default Setting
Press to bring up the pop-up window to restore the camera to factory settings.
VER Version
Check the version of your camera.

USB MODE
When you connect the camera with your PC via the USB cable provided, it will show you two options.

Mass Storage

  • If you select this option, you can go to your computer to check, copy or delete all the recorded files.
  • EMR folder includes the locked videos when the car encounters a collision. Photo and Video folders include all the photos and videos respectively.

PC Camera
If you select this option, you can go to your computer to set this dash camera as a web camera.

GPS FUNCTION AND CHECK THE VIDEO WITH GPS DATA

This product comes with a GPS receiver and you can check the GPS track of your video.

Step 1 Go to the System Settings to enable the option of GPS Switch.
Step 2 Make sure that you have connected the USB connector of the Car Charger to the Mini USB Port on the GPS Receiver, and connect another end to the Cigarette  Lighter Receptacle in the vehicle.
Step 3 Connect the camera with your PC via the USB cable provided, and select Mass Storage in the USB Mode.
Step 4 Go to your computer to access the folder of the camera, then open the file named CGPS_Player_Download.TXTD

Step 6 Check the GPS data of your video via the player.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

If the problem persists after you have tried all the solutions we mentioned, please contactsupport@veement.vip directly for further assistance.
Q1. The memory card can’t be read, or there is an error.****

– Make sure install the memory card correctly.
– Install the memory card into a card reader, then connect it to the computer to format it into FAT32.
– Try another Class 10 memory card with a well-known brand, such as SanDisk, Kingston, etc..

Q2. The camera can’t be powered on.****

– Remove the memory card, then re-install it into the camera to have a try.
– Check if the indicator on the camera and the indicator of the car charger light up. If both indicators don’t light up, please unplug the car charger, then re-plug it. If the indicator on the camera lights up, please reset and restart the camera.

Q3. The screen display freezes.****

– Use a pin into the Reset hole to reboot the dash camera.

Q4. The camera can’t record videos.****

– Please check if the memory card is full of the locked video. If yes, please delete the unnecessary videos or format the memory card.
– Go to Settings > G-Sensor to set it to Low.
– Replace another memory card.

Q5. The camera is restarted automatically.****

– Please check if the USB cable is in poor contact.
– Remove the memory card to see whether it’s caused by it.

Q6. A pause or frame skipping occurs when playing the videos or photos.****

– Try another Class 10 memory card with a wel-known brand and format it.

Q7. The video recorded in the memory card is blurry or shows strips.****

– Please check whether the lenses of the cameras are dirty.
– Please take off the protective film of the lens.
– Please check whether the windshield of the vehicle is not clean enough.
– Please make sure the vehicle is able to provide the stable power supply.

Q8. Other Explanations.****

– The camera only works when it is connected to the external power supply such as a car charger since it doesn’t have a built-in Li-ion battery.
– The camera may automatically power off if you remove the memory card when the camera is working. This is a normal phenomenon.
