Design and function

2.1 Description
The model TC47 thermocouples are used for temperature measurement in the range from 0 … 400 °C [32 … 752 °F]. They are particularly suitable for those applications in which the metal probe tip is mounted directly into bored holes, e.g. in machine components or directly into the process, for any application without chemically aggressive media or abrasion.
The thermocouple is designed as a tube and wire construction. This consists of a metal probe tip, in which the thermocouple cable is inserted and fixed, or metal fixing element onto which the thermocouple cable is attached.
Unless otherwise specified, the measuring points will be delivered isolated from the probe tip (ungrounded).
For specific applications, e.g. surface temperature measurements, the measuring points of the thermocouples can be delivered welded to the probe tip.
