Know the Device

Installation

1. Open the battery cover and insert eight AA batteries, following to the positive and negative battery sign, then close the battery cover to resist water and dust.*
   Warning: Be sure to put AA batteries in the correct direction; inserting battery incorrectly will cause permanent damage.

2. Insert Micro SD card (not included) into the camera.

3. Insert the SIM card into the card slot.

4. Slide the mode switch from “OFF” to “TEST”. In “TEST” screen, you can set up some camera properties. After you’re satisfied with the settings, you can slide the switch to “ON”. The camera will start working after about 10 seconds.
   If the signal icon in the top-left corner is green, it means the reception is good (more green bars mean better reception). White means that the reception failed. If so, check whether the SIM card is unlocked.

5. Scan the QR code to download the app (Suntekcam). You can also search your phone’s app store for Suntekcam.

• Instead of using the batteries, the camera supports external charging if you want your camera to work for a longer time. The jack size needs to be 3.5×1.5mm, DC 12V/2A.

Using the App

Pairing

1. First, you need to check your camera’s ID. Press the “menu” button, then select “network” and press OK. Then choose “Device ID”, press OK. Here you will find camera’s QR code.
2. Start the app, press “+” button, scan camera’s QR code. Alternatively, you can enter camera’s ID manually.
3. Name your device, add password (default password is 123456) and press “Submit”.

Taking photos and videos
In the “video” sub-menu:

• Press “capture” to take a photo with the camera
• Press “record” to start video recording

Captured photos and videos can be downloaded to your mobile phone. Press the icon in top-right corner, choose the photos and videos you’d like to download, and then press the “Download” button. In sub-menu “More” choose “Album” to see all the downloaded pictures and videos.

Operating Instructions

• Menu button – Takes you to the settings of the device.
• Shot button – Start/end the video recording or photo taking.
• Arrow up – Video recording mode.
• Arrow down – Photo taking mode.
• Replay button – replay mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the camera still support MMS/SMTP?
No, the camera will not support mmsconfig application and mms/smtp. It is controlled solely through the app.

When the app starts, the menu is in Chinese. How can I change to English menu?
Change your mobile phone language to English and restart the app.

Does the app support all Suntek cameras?
No, the app supports 4G APP and 4G Pro cameras, it doesn’t support 2G cameras.

Can I add more cameras to the app?
Yes, you can add multiple cameras. The cameras can also be removed in the app menu.
