FCC WARNING

Available for iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play, the Ultimater Throttle Controller App allows you to control and adjust the evcX remotely and via a larger screen for ease of use. Search Ultimateg TC or alternatively, scan the OR codes below with your device’s camera to download the app.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

The app will open with the loading page, then revert to the default home page/driver interface display.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 7From the home page, select the menu in the top left hand corner ( = symbol). This will take you to the menu page.
PAIRING VIA APP
From the menu page, select DEVICE CONNECT
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 8Within the Device Connect page you have a choice of scanning the device barcode. The barcode is a small label affixed to the device loom. Alternatively, the last 4 digits of the barcode can be entered manually. The 4 digit code can also be found by holding down both buttons on the driver interface screen simultaneously.
The app uses the mobile device’s camera to scan the barcode.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 9Place the scan window (box) over the barcode and it will scan and automatically fill in the 4 digit code. Ensure that the vehicle ignition is on so that the evcX can be located via Bluetooth.

MANUAL PAIRING

If the packaging has been discarded and the loom already fitted to the vehicle so that it is hard to locate the barcode, follow the procedure below to extract the 4 digit code from the evcX.
Start the vehicle.
For safety, ensure the vehicle is in Neutral (manual transmission) or Park (automatic transmission) and that the Park Brake is on.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 10Hold down both the selector buttons on the evcX driver interface simultaneously to display the evcX ID number.
The ID number’s 4 digit code can then be entered manually via the Device Connect page. Once entered, select ( =tater ) to search for the Bluetooth device.
The App will search for the evcX Throttle Controller and if pairing is successful, the user interface will load.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 12If pairing is unsuccessful, a timeout warning will appear. Please ensure the evcX is within Bluetooth range and repeat the pairing process.
On the user interface, successful pairing is indicated by the Bluetooth connection symbol ****in the top right of the screen.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 13 Once paired, the app will connect automatically with the throttle controller each time the vehicle ignition is switched on.

INTERFACE SETUP

Within the setting menu you can choose from two interface styles, Launchpad or Wheel.

INTERFACE STYLES

Both Launchpad and Wheel interfaces are designed to offer clear and uncluttered displays for easy mode selection.

INTERFACE COLOURS

From the Setting menu, the interface colours can be chosen.

MODE & LEVEL SELECTION

Modes can be easily selected by tapping the desired button. Once selected, the mode will be highlighted in the colour selected during interface colour setup.
ULTIMATE9 Throttle Control App - fig 2Depending on the mode selected, there will be the option to adjust the level of sensitivity. Sensitivity levels are adjusted by either swiping, sliding or tapping your finger along the scale as shown above. The number of settings within the mode will be referenced by the numbers on the scale. Refer to Mode Definition tables for details.

SETTING THE LOCK

The throttle may be locked and the driver interface can be removed to add an extra layer of security against theft or unauthorised use.

NOTE: On Android devices this is enabled by default. Each time the lock is enabled or disabled, an on-screen reminder alerts the driver which must be actioned to ensure the lock is not accidentally engaged.

Anti-Slip|  | For smooth acceleration on slippery surfaces. Choose from levels 1-9.
Factory| FCT| Designed to replicate the factory/OE throttle settings. Ideal for when sharing the vehicle with another driver.

SAFETY WARNING

The Ultimate9 Throttle Control app is designed as a driver aid to be used on a mobile device and as such local road laws about the use of mobile devices whilst driving should be adhered to. In some countries, states or jurisdictions, adding a vehicle accessory or modifying your vehicle could effect the vehicles safety or make it illegal to operate. Consult your local authority on laws regarding operation of your vehicle fitted with any accessories or modifications.
Throttle Controller adjustments, either via the evcX user interface or the mobile app, should only be performed whilst the vehicle is stationary to avoid any driver distraction. Failure to do so can be extremely dangerous. Always operate the device with due care and caution.
Always ensure the mobile device is mounted securely in an approved cradle and that it does not obscure the drivers view of the road or interfere with any controls or safety features such as deployment of airbags.
The LOCK function is designed to prevent theft and unauthorised use. It should never be activated whilst the vehicle is in motion and as such requires two step verification to ensure it can not be accidentally engaged.
Prior to changing modes, ensure the vehicle is stationary to avoid any sudden acceleration or deceleration. When changing levels within a mode it Is recommended to release any pressure on the accelerator pedal prior to adjustment.
