Congratulations on your purchase of the Allton Monochord.
It was made in our manufactory in Bad Zwesten/North Hesse from local woods in solid handwork so that you can enjoy it for a long time.
In exchange and cooperation with users and therapists, we have developed our instruments in such a way that they are particularly easy to handle.

Description:

With a handy small size, the ALLTON Monochord has an amazingly good sound. The underside is concavely curved and nicely rounded at the edges. The monochord can be placed on legs, belly or back or held in the arm like a teddy bear. The recessed grips on the sides ensure good handling.

Application areas:

  • Kindergarten + senior facilities
  • Snoezelen rooms
  • music therapy + sound therapy
  • pain clinics + rehabilitation clinics
  • psychotherapy practices
  • sound meditation/sound yoga
  • overtone singing
  • trance work + hypnosis
  • sound travel + improvisation
  • natural sound music
  • voice work and vocal accompaniment

Application:

When playing, the whole instrument comes into vibration and transfers this to the body and activates the body cells (vibroacoustic/basal stimulation). This sound massage promotes positive body awareness and helps to better come to inner peace.
The ALLTON Monochord can be used sitting and lying down. It is used in care, and therapy, both for children and adults.ALLTON-ZMC2G-Tambura-Chord-

Special feature:

  • The curved layer-gluing allows more direct body contact and fits well to the body.
  • The hands fit between the strings and the top so that the instrument can be held particularly well. It also makes cleaning easier.

The playing technique:

  • Playing the strings is quite simple: you stroke your fingertips across the strings. It is more like stroking than plucking. Always play towards the body and not away from it.
  • By gently and regularly stroking the strings, a calm, carrying carpet of sound is created. This carrying permanent sound invites you to relax and open yourself to the sounds. The speed can be varied.
  • In order to get well into a relaxation stimulation, one should adapt the speed to the breathing rhythm. When exhaling play
  • 1x with the right hand from back to front, when inhaling play with the left hand from back to front. Then you slow down the playing little by little.
  • It is also possible to slow down the speed so that the individual notes can sound and reverberate a bit before playing the next string.
  • It is possible to vary between playing as a tapestry of sound or playing individual notes.
