Clio PALMPERFECT 3801SSB Electric Shaver
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USING THIS SHAVER.
WARNINGS
- This device is not a toy and is not intended for use by or on children.
- The shaver is intended for household use only.
- Do not use the shaver if it has a damaged or broken foil, blade or cutting unit, as injury may occur.
- Do not expose the shaver to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures or heated surfaces.
BATTERIES
Your shaver requires 2 ‘AAA’ 1.5 volt alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
- Remove the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the shaver by twisting the clasp in the direction of the arrows indicated on the battery door (Fig.1).
- Insert the batteries as shown on the indicator labels visible inside of each battery compartment (Fig. 2).
- Line up the dash (-) lines on both the battery door and the shaver. Push the battery compartment cover back onto the shaver so that it is inserted all of the way and then turn the clasp back to its original position to secure the battery door in place. NOTE: the battery compartment cover will only fit in one direction.
THE SHAVER WILL NOT OPERATE IF THE BATTERIES ARE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED
USING YOUR SHAVER
The shaver is recommended for use on the legs, underarms, bikini line, back of
neck, feet, etc. and is ideal for use at home, when traveling, at the gym, use
it anywhere! Before using, check the shaving head for damage. If signs of wear
or damage are evident, do not use the shaver as injury may occur. It is not
necessary to press hard when shaving your legs, underarms, or bikini line. Too
much pressure while shaving may cause skin irritation, and the shaver will not
function properly.
For wet shaving, a thin layer of soap or shaving cream may be applied to the
skin before shaving, but it is not recommended. Skin should be clean for dry
shaving. You can use your shaver wet or dry but the shaver must never be
submerged in water.
CLEANING YOUR SHAVER
With the shaver turned OFF it can be quickly cleaned by pulling the blade
assembly from the unit and rinsing the blades under running water. You can
blow out hair or debris or a small brush may be used to brush out hair and
debris when the shaver is dry. The area around the blades may also be wiped
clean with a soft, dry cloth.
For the best shaving performance, it is suggested to lightly oil the shaving
heads regularly by spreading a drop of mineral oil over the foil and trimmers.
If this does not improve the performance of your shaver, the shaving head
assembly may need to be replaced.

cutting blades) for two years from the date of original purchase. Clio Designs

Why does the shaver not operate?
The shaver will not operate if the batteries are improperly installed.

Why does the shaver cut my skin?
Please refer to ‘Using Your Shaver’ section of this guide. Make sure that you hold the shaver at a 90° angle to your skin and shave in short, light strokes. You may also need to replace the shaving head with a new one. Please contact your local Philips service center for assistance.
Is this a foil shaver or a typical electric shaver?
This resembles a portable shaver. Yes, it is a single-strip foil shaver, but it also includes clippers beside the foil on both sides and a USB plug for powering it rather than batteries.
How are the razors refilled?
The razor is replaced rather than refilled since it lasts so long and costs so little.
Does this leave legs smooth-shaven like a traditional razor and can it be used outside of the shower?
Yes, it can be used in or out of the shower, and in my opinion, while not as close as a razor, it still gets the job done. But it works pretty well.
Would this be a decent shaving product for beginners? like when tweens first start learning how to shave?
I can’t say for sure because I haven’t used this razor myself. However, the product’s packaging indicates that it can be used wet or dry and is both painless and safe.
Does this product require shaving cream to be used?
You don’t need any, in fact. If anything, it can clog the shaving head. You’re alright if you exfoliate before and after.
How do you go inside it to instal the batteries?
To replace the long-lasting batteries, simply twist open the bottom. I can use them for a few of years!
Is this okay to use beneath my arms? as in, my underarms? I cut my armpit often daily since I can’t lift my arm all the way after breaking it.
Yes, it is quite effective for the armpits. To avoid any problems, I would suggest making sure the area is dry first. For a closer shave, use the inside trimmers instead of the outside ones.
How close of a shave is it?
It’s okay. You can get a close shave if you use them, like I do. The foils will deteriorate within six months or even sooner, but for the price, try one. Just in case, I keep a modest pocketbook with me.
Is there a blade cover on it?
When not in use, the blades have a plastic cover.
Does it irritate you?
It doesn’t seem to tangle my hair, in my opinion. In my perspective, it actually does a pretty excellent job.
